I ended up staying in the Kylemore Pass Hotel by default as Clifden, my planned destination for the night, was fully booked. The hotel is located in the proverbial 'middle of nowhere' and offers little other than a welcomed bed and bar food. On arrival, the hotel has an odd appearance; a kind of higgledy–piggledy lobby cum dining room filled... More

thank you for your unusual but truthful to you response, you enter our reception ( which of course doubles as a seating area for our guests)which has the restaurant leading off it and at the other end is a small bar ( shame you did not come a couple of years ago when our Sailors Bar downstairs was open, but... We stayed for one night spotless hotel good food, but, the hotel itself is cluttered with lots of ornaments and plates and especially plastic flowers every where, even in the Toilets, The bedroom was comfortable but, the colour scheme is very dark dark red ceiling pink walls and a coloured duvet cover that was washed within an inch of its... thanks for review, and thank you for "Staff very friendly" and "good food" our colors are our choice not like big hotels where every room is identical, downstairs bedrooms are much paler shame you did not say, we could have shown you, Duvet cover is Dorma & light weight for fast washing and certainly not washed within an inch of... we arrived shortly after a rain storm , were greeted very friendly, got tea in front of a crackling and warm fireplace, the rooms were spacious, clean, same with the bathroom. Ate dinner at the Hotel Restaurant and watched the sun set, after several Guiness had a good night, very comfortable beds, good breakfast watching another rain storm (hey, you... More

A lovely hotel that's only a few minutes away from the Abbey. The rooms are gorgeous and the bathroom was clean and tidy. The hotel has a restaurant and bar. The staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. There is a buffet breakfast in the restaurant in the morning. My room was at the front of the hotel, it had... More

I stayed at the Kylemore Pass for three nights, as a solo traveler. Not only is the view lovely, but the staff, particularly Stuart, are great, and took every care. I was the only person at the hotel the first night that I stayed (midweek), and he turned what could have been a creepy moment into a friendly chat. Close... More

We arrived at the Kylemore Pass Hotel quite late after having a dinner in Clifden, so we missed all the enchanting sights as it was pitch black going there. When we arrived we were greeted and shown to our room, which was small, but had everything necessary. I absolutely loved the wooden bathroom - so tastefully decorated, it was amazing.... More

Great Location and Pet Friendly, but over priced for bed & breakfast, I guess pets do cost even if they are welcome. A lovely area close to Kylemore, Leanaune and Clifden and a good base for touring and taking in the sights.

thank you for your comments sorry that you thought b/b too expensive but all our rooms are individual and we buy the best ie Dorma, etc, guests always have complimentary tea/coffee on arrival we think we look after our guests well which in bigger hotels guests are usually only room numbers, glad you liked location More

Very nice and helpful gentleman at the reception. The room was comfortable, clean, and well equipped. The wifi was good. Breakfast in the morning was good, you even had a choice of different coffee types from the machine using coffee beans.

We stayed here for four nights while doing a guided hiking tour in the Connemara. The staff were wonderful: despite looking after our group and other guests, they were always helpful with a nice sense of humour. The hotel looks out over the mountains and is well located for exploring Connemara National Park, Kylemore Abbey, Killary Fjord and the Maamturk... More
