The GARDEN HOTEL is a family run business which offers a warm and clean environment at low prices. It is ideal for people looking for a peaceful and quiet family atmosphere and good service. It is situated in the Filerimos Valley of Rhodes Island close to the airport. The busy centres of Rhodes and Faliraki are only fifteen minutes away but the Garden Pastida Hotel provides an oasis of calm away fromthe hustle and bustle of those towns .

Have just returned from a last minute holiday with Tui for a very reasonably priced stay at Garden Hotel. The hotel itself is set in beautiful gardens with a large pool and small kiddies pool. The grounds are extremely well laid out and kept. The hotel rooms are basic but clean. There was a fan in the room but if we were to go again we would pay extra for air con as it was very hot at night. George, Babis and staff were lovely. George arranged our car hire for us (highly recommended to get out and about) which was extremely helpful, in fact nothing seemed a problem for him. The hotel itself, as others have said, is quite remote but with two trips to Rhodes town on the bus and our two days out in the car we found the local restaurants perfectly fine for evening meals during our ten day holiday.
Lots of returning guests all very friendly and can offer advice if needed.
We would definitely return but never again with Tui!! (Another story!!) Fantastic rates booking direct anyway so really hope to come back sometime in the not to distant future.
Lastly George makes a very good Mojito 😆

We are at Rhodes airport waiting to travel back to the UK and I feel compelled to write a review before I get home and might forget. I always read reviews scrupulously when I book a holiday and think an honest review is really important. The Garden Hotel in Pastida is a beautiful, tranquil holiday venue. The rooms are typically Greek, basic but with everything you need. Rooms are spotlessly cleaned every day except Sunday and clean towels and bed linen every three days. Never seen such huge pools both adult and child in a Greek hotel both of which were again kept spotless. Where to start with the hotel team? Thank you so much to George, Mikala, Michael, the gardener, cooks and cleaners for making us feel so very welcome attending to our every need over the last week. We had such a great time. I can understand why many of the holidaymakers return year after year, some for 20+ years. We met some really lovely people who made our holiday too. The 15-minute walk to the local village can be busy traffic-wise so need to be vigilant when walking however the restaurants in the village are lovely and great value and the regulars will soon let you know where is best to eat. The hotel provides a bed and breakfast or half board option. We were B&B which suited us but many were full board. Food and drinks were very reasonably priced and alcoholic measures were large! I am very happy we visited this hotel - we made lots of funny, great memories; I definitely recommend this little hotel and absolutely would not hesitate to return. Big thanks again team Garden Hotel 🌞😎🇬🇷❤️ I will upload photos when I can logon to more reliable WiFi 😎

This is my second visit to The Garden Hotel and although it now has a change of front of house (still within the same family), it was still a little slice of paradise.

Incredibly friendly service, nothing was to much trouble and George was always happy to answer my never ending questions! The bar is well stocked and the small pool area outside the bar, is a lovely space to while away an evening with a drink or two! The rooms are clean and housekeeping are always busy making sure that everything is up to scratch.

Breakfast is from a set menu, but cooked fresh and delicious and runs like a well oiled machine with Babis at the helm! There is also the offer of lunch and dinner, which we tried out during our stay - incredibly reasonably priced, with fresh ingredients - the dinner menu is set each evening.

The pool is a spectacular place to top up the tan and read a good book, plus enjoy a beer or an ice cream. Plenty of sunbeds and parasols.

Although the hotel is set in a quiet village, there is a mini supermarket on the site, an easy 10 min walk into the centre of the village, where there are some shops, a larger supermarket and some bars and restaurants, plus a local bus stop just outside the hotel which runs a regular service into Rhodes Town - times in reception and really cheap and easy to use.

Would definitely recommend this lovely hotel, so peaceful and relaxing.

We visited the Garden hotel this August for the 5th time. As always, we had a relaxing time in the sun.
George, Christina, Mikala and now Mike always go out of their way to ensure their guests have a great time. They are always smiling, happy and so welcoming and make the stay at the Garden hotel even more enjoyable.

The pool and surrounding area is always clean and you are surrounded by grapevines and fruit trees. Sunbeds are always available so there is no need to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve your bed!

The food is very good value and it's nice to see that Greek dishes have been added to the evening meal as an option. On a couple of occasions, there was something on the menu that two members of our party didn't like, so they asked what they would like instead and cooked it for them! The cocktail menu has also been updated/extended and at 5/6 euros a cocktail, they are delicious and great value.
During our last week, the entertainment started up again and there was a band, karaoke, bingo and a quiz. It's always great fun if you join in and get into the holiday spirit!
Finally, one of the best things about the hotel is the lovely, friendly people that you meet who return year after year. We have been lucky to see the same people for the past few years, who we now count as friends. Needless to say, we have already booked for next August and can't wait to return to this family run oasis in the sunshine.

We booked this hotel via TUI 48 hours before we were due to arrive as our Turkey holiday was cancelled. We used Trip advisor to check the reviews and knew that Pastida was a quiet resort. Overall was pleased with our choice especially as it was less than £550 for a week.

Hotel is very clean and the exterior pool and seating area very scenic with one of the largest pools I have ever seen outside of a large all inclusive resort. It was quite chilly but needed as the temperature here in October was still very warm. Breakfast is reasonable with 7 choices all basic but prepared well. We had lunch here at least 4 days and again limited choice but all done well. No problems with sunbeds due to low number of people here. Evening wise we had a drink before we went out of an evening with George doing a good G&T. There was no real evening entertainment and was very quiet so went into town most evenings to the few restaurants (about 6 in all with additional snack bars)

Rooms are basic with bathroom prone to flooding as you have to stand in a corner. The TV channel has two english news channels. The problem with the room was with one plug socket by the door which is hard when one has phones to charge. The bed is rock hard and takes some getting used to.

Wi fi is good in the bar and can be reached in parts of the pool which was good too. We didn't find the staff that attentive perhaps because we were not one of the many returners of which there were many and we did not eat there of an evening. When we left there was no goodbye or acknowledgement of our departure. The guys that run it could update a few things and this could be a gold mine but I guess many people love it just the way it is.

Also the resort is quiet but we found some excellent restaurants and never had a bad meal.

This hotel has lovely gardens, great outside space, and a good size pool. The staff are very friendly, and helpful. The rooms are very basic, the matress on our beds very lumpy, although I did sleep well, aided by alcohol, the bathroom was about 6ft square, there was no shower curtain, as a result water over the floor, water pressure in the shower very hit and miss, it depends on the time you shower, our biggest gripe was that our room was not cleaned to an acceptable standard, other guests we spoke to said the same, you didn't want to look under the toilet seat, which should have been changed years ago. The breakfast was very poor, 2 eggs swimming in oil, 1 small rasher of bacon, half a tomato sliced, and a roll, or an omelette, if you choose cheese, they put a cheese slice on top, if you like corn flakes with your breakfast that will cost another 3 euros. village 10 min walk away a few good restaurants and a chemist, not much else, my tip would be have your breakfast down in the village. guests go back to this hotel year after year, I don't understand that, perhaps because it's cheap, and you do get cheap.

This was our third visit to the beautiful Garden Hotel. As soon as we arrived it felt like we were in our second home.

We have travelled a lot and this is the only hotel in the world we have been back to three times!

Apart from the amazing swimming pool and the cleanliness of the hotel, it is the staff that make this hotel the success it is.

Each member of staff seems to add that little extra to your stay. You are treated as friends of the hotel and everyone has a smile!

Pool area:

Huge pool with plenty of sun loungers available. Choice of sun or shade with lots of space between the loungers.

Kids pool and jacuzzi available and very handy if you want a quick cool off.

Two games tables and a kids play area are also round the pool area with plenty of table and chairs for an afternoon drink or evening sat outside.

Rooms:

Basic but adequate and spotlessly clean. Lovely big balcony with a table and two chairs. New addition of a flat screen TV. Fan in each room which was well appreciated at night!

Location:

Short journey from the airport but the right side of the airport so you don't get any noise from the planes.

Local village is a five minute walk and has restaurants, a chemist and a few shops. Also plenty of places to grab a coffee. As it is a working village you get great food and a great price!

We hired a car so not sure how long it would take you to walk to the beach but not too far from Rhodes Town and a great location to explore the island.

Food:

Breakfast is included and a great start to the day. Choice of omelettes, eggs and bacon, ham and cheese, yoghurt and honey or cereal.

Lunch is good value and a wide selection of options. Gyros was €6 for a plateful of delicious food.

Dinner. We only ate a few times as we were out exploring a lot but it is €10 and has starters, main and a dessert!

Mini market!

Attached to the hotel and run by the wonderful Maria, this shop has all your basic holiday needs covered. Maria is also there for advice, suggestions and a laugh.

Entertainment.

We were out most nights but there is various entertainment in the evening. We did join in with the bingo and quiz one night which was lots of fun.

Michaela makes sure drinks are available and the prices are great. Fab cocktails and amazing milkshakes!

George runs this hotel superbly and it's no wonder guests keep returning year after year. I almost want to keep this hotel a secret but special places are rare and need to be shared!

Cannot wait for our next visit to thia wonderful hidden gem in Rhodes

Back in April, I asked my husband if we could have a week away, somewhere warm where I could do nothing except read and relax. After a little searching, I found the Garden Hotel, Pastida. We booked the same night! What a gem of a hotel, we absolutely loved our two week stay.
Everyone was so kind and friendly, both staff and guests a lot of whom were repeat guests, which says a lot in itself. In fact, their reviews were something that helped make up our minds to book.

We chose half board and we weren’t disappointed. Food was delicious, all freshly made with a lot of home grown produce too. Lunches were extra but very reasonably priced. We were more than happy to eat at the hotel all the time, though I understand from speaking to other guests that food elsewhere in the village was good too.

Our room (a very roomy double) had a lovely view of the pool and immaculate garden. We spent most of our days lying in the shade under the trees, taking an occasional dip in the beautiful, clean pool.
Lots of wardrobe and drawer space, mugs, glasses and a kettle. Even had a full sized fridge with an ice making compartment, very useful! Our bathroom was a little tired but we managed. The shower tray was a bit small and it seemed strange not having a shower curtain but the bathroom and bedroom were kept beautifully clean and bed linens and towels were changed every three days.
We paid for the air conditioning, well worth it!

The mini market stocked all manner of things that you might need during your stay, at very reasonable prices. You could also hire pool towels too!

Every member of staff worked so hard, nothing was too much trouble for them. You almost felt like you were staying with family or friends. So much so, we have already booked for next year!

And I managed to read ten books!!

This was our first visit to the garden hotel and it was lovely. A few little things that aren’t really highlighted in any other reviews that I think would be helpful.

Aircon is €40 for the week or €7 a night. Some people can live without but the kids were not able to sleep in the heat so it was necessary.

Breakfast is a set menu so you don’t go and choose your own, mainly eggs and things like a ham and cheese roll. Our kids didn’t like the breakfast options so we went to the local supermarket and got a box of coco pops for the week.

Late check out is €30 and if you don’t get the late check out you have to check out at 11am so bear that in mind!

Supermarket is a 5 minute walk away in the local town which has everything you need there and we found handy.

The hotel does trips to Rhode’s old town on Mondays and the local town of Ilyassos which were definitely enjoyable.

Staff are lovely and always happy to help. Cleanliness is 100%. The hotel is kept immaculate and you can tell George prides himself in his hotel and so he should!!

Thank you for a wonderful stay 🙂

Our second time at the Garden Hotel, Pastida, Rhodes and it just gets better.
We booked direct with George this time through the hotel’s website (last time was a Jet2 Holidays booking) and everything was brilliant from our first email to the day we departed.
George picked us up at the Airport and it was like meeting an old friend again – that’s what makes a good hotel great.
We asked for the same room as we’d had before but that was booked so George gave us next door. The rooms have been refurbished and look great. New mattresses are very comfortable. Air con worked a treat and there’s a kettle so bring your own tea bags.
We arrived around 2pm and Micheal greeted us with a hug and made sure we got some lunch.
On our first evening we tried the bingo which was fun and Michaela also recognised us from last time.
This is such a simple friendly hotel you feel like you’ve never been away. It’s clean, safe, quiet, laid back – just how we like it.
Some changes from last time – a great addition at breakfast is the toaster and sliced bread rather than rolls so you can do it just how you like it. Food is simple but home grown, hot, fresh and tasty.
The pool has been totally re-vamped with a central fountain, new steps and the depth reduced to just around 1.5m throughout and its immaculately clean. Shame they couldn’t have kept a deep section as that was fun but maybe it’s a local regulation.
All the restaurants in the village are unchanged with Epavlis, Skalakia and Massa Grande all serving up excellent food at very reasonable prices.
The negative reviews must be from someone who stayed at a different hotel or expect a 5* experience from a 3* hotel.
We found all the guests to be very friendly and chatty – mostly a middle aged and older clientele who like a peaceful, quiet and a restful holiday.
Thanks again to George, Michael and Michaela for a wonderful week, we look forward to seeing you all again in June 2024.

I think it’s about 30 minutes (did not go last trip) it’s windy there and to be honest nothing else on the beach (pebbly) not the best But that was in approx 2016 so May be better now. Best off emailing the hotel to check.
