The castle belong to a family. They have just 5 rooms to rent, with very comfortable bed. The rooms with bathroom are very big. You can have breakfast, what they give for €15/Pax, so much, you can not eat. It's a must to have a guided tour! You learn very interesting thinks about the castle (for example, that they want... Stayed here recently and cannot fault this venue. If you like somewhere which is distinctive and a world apart from the usual hotel chains then this is for you. Our room was massive with a canopy over the bed and a beautiful marble fireplace. Everything in the chateau is authentic and takes you back to earlier times. Breakfast was one... More

Stayed here in March, not perhaps the best time, weather-wise (!), it was bone-chillingly cold. The chateau is so enormous, it must be totally impossible to heat apart from the individual rooms being used. I was with friends enroute to Burgundy for a wine tasting trip, and we were blown away by this place on our overnight stopover. The decor... More

I booked a 1 night stop over at the chateau while traveling through France and into Switzerland. Our first glimpse of this beautiful chateau was from 2 miles away, my first comment was Wow, look at that! It wasn't until we reached the village that we realised that was our room for the night. We were greeted at the gate... More

We recently returned from our three week holiday touring around Europe. It was a holiday where we camped in our family tent some nights, broken by hotel nights in relative luxury to keep the Wife and I sane. The kids love the tent, and the whole European camping experience, but for us grown ups, the prospect of a freshly made... More

When we entered the estate, we were quite impressed by the castle, but all that soon dissapeared when we entered it. The smell was awfull and the atmosphere was morbid. The rooms were very old and haven't been redecorated for many decades... the blankets and sheets were old and (over)often used. When the children went swimming, there found a dead... More

Jean Pierre is a very accommodating host. When my gas tank was near empty, he made arrangements for me to get it in a nearby town early the next morning. He also made reservations for dinner for us in the town. I could not have asked for nicer treatment. Also, the chateau is amazing. He told us many stories about... More

We stayed there for one night, when driving back from Provence. I really enjoyed it, although I'd not like to spend my entire vacation there. However my fiancée was quite a bit a scared by the morbid atmosphere of the place and the fact that we were the only guests. That was my big chance of telling her spine-chillers about... More
