The hotel has been build a few years ago on the grounds of a refurbished vintage villa by the owners of the long time renowned beach side hotel Le Bailli de Suffren which can be reached in a few minutes by the palatial stairway leading to the sea. Here you will enjoy the best of both worlds: (paying) access to Le Bailli's private beach on the idyllic Le Rayol beach and at the same time a brand new small terraced hotel built uphill with wonderful views, a beautiful pool, nested in the green,... for a very reasonable price, considering.

Spent 3-nights & much enjoyed our stay. The Staff, particularly the Ladies on reception are friendly, helpful & very professional. Our room was clean, the bed extremely comfortable & the view superb. We used the garage parking, which worked well. Breakfasts served on the terrace were full of variety & delicious. The pool area provides a little oasis whether one chooses to sit in the sun or shade. We ate at the Sister Hotel a short walk away & much enjoyed our meal but came away thinking, why pay for 4-star luxury when Les Terrasses du Bailli provides, with the exception of a restaurant & those are available locally, all we required? We enjoyed our stay so thank you all!

Dear Browing14, We sincerely thank you for your kind words and excellent review of your stay with us at Les Terrasses du Bailli. It's a pleasure to know that you enjoyed three pleasant nights and appreciated every aspect of your stay. We are delighted to read that our staff, especially the ladies at the reception, left a positive impression on you. Their friendliness, helpfulness, and professionalism are qualities that we highly value. It's also gratifying to learn that you found your room clean, the bed comfortable, and enjoyed the view. Your observation about the restaurant is very relevant, and we are delighted that you were able to dine at the nearby Bailli de Suffren. We will continue to work to provide an exceptional experience for our guests. Once again, thank you for choosing Les Terrasses du Bailli for your stay, and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to our little piece of paradise. Warm regards,

We stayed here in September as a couple and our room was located in the old part of the hotel without a balcony but with seaview. The room was spacious, clean and very nicely set up. Breakfast was ample and qualitatively very good - currently you order from a menue and at the reserved time you are served your breakfast as requested in your room or on the beautiful terrace (we enjoyed the latter). The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The view from the room on the second floor in the more recent building is wonderful. The room is pretty, clean, and provides lots of space.

However, there was no restauration service beyond breakfast, even though this was announced on the hotel's website. Also, hotel management decided, without giving us advance notice, to stop their air conditioning for the rest of the year during our stay. We ended up with a very hot room (since there is sun streaming in during the whole afternoon). There is no umbrella on the balcony, which is exposed to the sun all afternoon. Since the rooms are accessible from the outside, breakfast comes in wet whenever it rains.

I really enjoyed the balcony and the view at nite. The staff was very friendly. The Bed was one of the hardest beds I have ever slept on - and was very uncomfortable. They need to get some gel foam toppers for people like me who can sleep on a super hard bed.

Very nice albeit very expensive hotel. Location is great with amazing views. Breakfast is very good with almost the same variety as a large chain hotel. Coffee is from a machine but is still very good. Lots of reviews saying there were enough sun loungers. Not sure I agree with this. Several people tried to reserve them for hours and guests in the other hotel and residences are also allowed to use the pool so it can get very busy. You can usually find somewhere to sit though. The afternoons at the pool normally consisted of large amounts of children taking over, playing loudly and being largely unpoliced by their parents (not the hotel's fault). Dogs are also allowed to stay at the hotel which is a surprise as its a pretty small hotel. They were mostly well behaved (luckily). You are right near to the famous rayol steps which take you right to the sea and beach. Lunches were simple but nice and are definitely an option for a few days before you run out of options. Good to see a few wasp traps to catch the giant hornets. These seem to work pretty well

Dear Withnail69, What a pleasure to read your kind comment. It is a joy to see your delight in the quality of our services and facilities in our little corner of paradise. We are proud to offer a varied breakfast with regional products and homemade cakes that vary every day. Our swimming pool has many deckchairs including a nice shaded pergola for your comfort. It is also true that children must be accompanied by their parents to access the pool. Unfortunately, some parents do not follow these instructions. I hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back for another beautiful summer break. Sincerely,

What a charming little hotel. Very comfortable in the main building with charme of the last century. Very good breakfast and friendly staff. An ideal hideway on this beautiful stretch of coast. Old big pinetrees and nice houses in Rayol. Close by is the botanical garden. A few steps away is the lovely beach. Perfect for a swim in the morning.

Perfect stay in a tastefully decorated hotel very close to the beach and with amazing views. The atmosphere of the hotel really give south France holiday vibes, staff was great. We parked at the hotel and didn’t have to use the car as everything is at a short walking distance. Only downside is that the hotel is a bit expensive.

There's only a few of restaurants available within walking distance (Sep'14). One is a rather pricy one just a few hundred meters down the street in the other hotel of the same chain, and as far as I remember, there's a couple of others up the hill. You can get sandwiches and the like in the hotel's cafe, but not sure if it's open for dinner. While renting bicycles is an option in the hotel, it'd be tough to get around as the terrain is quite hilly. I'd recommend a car, but visiting the few available restaurants might not a terrible option either. When we visited, we drove by car to a restaurant called L'escale, but it's a hit-and-miss. We also drove to Cavalaire, which had a really nice creperie and beautiful scenery too.
