I will start with the positive: the staff is super friendly and accommodating, the grounds are nice, and our room was very spacious and bright. I am afraid this is it. The rest was disappointing: the duvet/quilt was filthy and old and similar for the carpet and curtains. The restaurant menu is not worth at all (the best were the wine, oisters and cheese...) and finally, they publicize they have a spa and are next to the beach, but the spa is just a swimming pool and a sauna/hammam, and the beach is of difficult access and you will need a car. Not worth value for money.

We spent a few days here in September 19 the hotel is beautifully located in a rural / sylvan setting near La Havre and not too far from Cherbourg-en-Cotentin staff were friendly and helpful car parking was very easy our room was large and comfortable ( a little cluttered with excess furniture and the en-suite could do with an upgrade ) dining facilities were excellent a very good dinner and breakfasts the public areas were spacious and comfortable staff were very attentive to our needs there were many interesting places to visit nearby but a car is a necessity altogether a very pleasant stopover and we would certainly consider a revisit prices are on the upper scale but good value for money

This hotel, built in 2001, is well located, at walking distance from the sea although no view from the hotel. Half way from both Honfleur and Deauville. The park is nice , the swimming pool well heated , but I will never understand why designers use slippery material to cover pool floors. There is no handrail anywhere to help getting down into the pool, my wife fall and I saw several clients having difficulties to avoid slipping. The hammam and sauna are closed everyday from noon to 4pm for unknown reasons. In total the hotel decoration and furniture needs a bit of refreshing e.g. the matresses which have a large hollow on each side. Rooms are large although old-fashioned. The restaurant is not worth the price. Some of the restaurant personnel are psychorigid, but I give a special mention to the young blonde lady who assist the breakfast for her gentleness and efficiency.

Dear Customer, We thank you for your visit and feedback. The sp is actually a wet place, as in any pool, which requires the use of clappers made available in your locker or room. The descent of the basin is progressive and stone, which limits the risk of slipping into the water. The SPA is open from 9am to 9pm daily. Indeed the sauna and the steam room are not free access from 12h to 16h as proposed privatization. Our establishment is in constant renovation (restaurant, rooms, common parts ....), of which the change of the mattresses. We are sorry that our restaurant, although very appreciated, did not suit you. Finally we do not understand too your unfriendly opinion on the staff of the restaurant, also appreciated by our customers.

We stayed here just after Christmas to visit farms on the Route de Cidre and top up on Calvados. The hotel and spa were lovely. The staff were so pleasant and helpful especially in the restaurant. There is plenty to do in nearby Honfleur and Deauville.

We received a good offer on the room and breakfast (Marine room over the spa). The only comments I have is that the decoration in the room and bathroom need refreshing and brightening up . The breakfast was excellent. We dined at the restaurant and it was very good. The spa is excellent, the massage was perfect.

My wife and I stayed for one evening on 15 July 2018 and was extremely impressed with this hotel. The whole ambience of this hotel is superb with individual service in every way. The food presented for dinner was excellent and can only be noted as being first class. Every course and there were many, each presented with attention to detail, by the waiting staff. Prepared by a Chef with a passion to tease the palette of any food lovers. The buffet breakfast was excellent in every detail, superb local produce and a vast choice of food associated with fine hotels. The room was large and a well appointed bathroom. The view was terrific from the large bedroom window to the surrounding countryside and beyond. A terrific stay and one I would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to add that extra special stay in France. We will be returning.

Booked this hotel with travelbird as a short getaway frol Belgium with my partner. We really enjoyed our stay! Super friendly and helpfull personel who gave us a warm welcome, diner was amazing, the saloon was cosy where we went for an apero and an after diner drink and chess game, breakfast was just heaven with all kinds of biological and regional products and even bubbles, the spa was clean and nice, the bedroom was spacious with a nice vue on the ocean. Also liked the fact that the number of bedrooms is limited and that it's only for couples. Short, we really came to rest there and were sad we had to leave. Definitely would come back!

We decided to spend the night in a very nice hotel, so we chose the Manoir de la Poterie. The building is in good state but the style looks rather dated, even old fashion for a hotel which is just 15 years old. Similar with the bedroom, we expected so much more considering the 4 stars, and it was rather basic, even though we took a superior bedroom. Funny they state that the toilets are in a separate room, and they are in the bathroom :-( If you come with a baby, do bring his/her own bed or you will have to pay for it. Same thing with the spa, it seems that you have to pay for in order to access the sauna!! The swimming pool and hamam are free at least. Then we went for diner, and I have to say that the staff there was very efficient, and very nice. The quality of the food is good. Last but far from least, the breakfast was a great moment of pleasure and surprise. You cannot leave the hotel with their breakfast, you would miss out. Staff at the reception desk was very nice as well.

We stayed here last year around the same time of year and thought we would give it another go . Booked the Louis 16th suite as it was the last room available . I had given this 3 * last time and the same again only because again the staff make this place . Disappointed that I can't give more but for the money paid you can get better . Rooms - our suite was large and over the spa , can't really fault the rooms except they are boiling hot , opened the windows but as the blinds were attached the light work us up at about 5 a.m . Just stick a 20 euro fan in each room problem solved ideally in a 4 * should have air con . Rooms clean and well equipped good room information via folder. Meal - evening meal is good , the pre dinner drinks will set up back 30 euros while you choose but the lounge area is pleasant. The food is very good ...but not as good as last visit when it was exceptional. My turbot was exchanged for sea bass without a financial discount hardly a fair swap money wise and one small fillet and a bit of plain rice for 38€ bit tight . The wine choice again is very good and a fair range from 30 euro a bottle upto 100 ish. Well stocked bar in the lounge area. Breakfast is pretty good at 22 euros each a good choice we came down late so hot choice was a bit limited . You can though help yourself to champagne or calvados for breakfast !! Spa-looks great didn't have time to try it . Overall- our bill with a discounted room via one of the online sites came to around 450 euros , now the meal was over 200 for two people, the evening before we had dined at a 5* in Deauville and it was the same price , I just feel that a country restaurant 4* should be a bit less than a 5* town place , it is expensive ! In short I would say that the hotel is fine and relaxing but I think that it's expensive for the same price you can stay 4 miles up to road at a 5* hotel with all the little extras associated with the different level. Shame .

2 nights here in executive room . The hotel looks great and the room was fine . staff were friendly and attentive . I would have given 5* up until the first day then it we then down hill. During our stay it was humid and very warm with the hotel unable to supply even desktop fans . take your own if you have room and its warm! The first evenings dinner was excellent far better than other restaurants in the area we tried . The wine list is extensive . The star was the waiter on duty single handed kept 20+ covers happy and well attended. breakfast is also very good with a wide selection buffet style . DAY 2 , unable to have a simple sandwich from any menu at 4pm just drinks not very good for a 4* hotel . We didn't try the spa but looked good . also unable to have dinner the second evening again tried at 4pm.which I don't think is too late to book as we didn't know before then , the back of the dining room was not laid up so we could have squeezed in ? The lift smelt funny can't put my finger on it but it was like a dead mouse was trapped somewhere really bad . All in all I wish that it had been a 5* experience as other people have said it lacks something I would say the care and attention you would expect of a 4* hotel on the small details that matter not just good food or a clean room but the extras like going out of the way for a guest . One member of staff shone and for him and the barman ive would give more but for the faults only 3*.
