I had to arrange an overnight stay around Bridgwater and on LateRooms.com and booking.com had your average hotels so I tried hotel UK.com and found this lovely one. It wasn't your average hotel as it looked like a manor or Hall. What surprised me was the price compared to others of less quality. This place and location was perfect for... More

The Greenwood is an 18th century house located in West Huntspill. Given the age of the building there are a few beams and uneven floors to watch for, but the room we had was well appointed and comfortable with a good toilet/shower room. The breakfast was terrific with lots of choice including some items outside the usual breakfast fare. The... More

Stayed here for two nights with our little dog to break up long journey home. Friendly welcome, nice spacious room and spotlessly clean. nice breakfast and good choice on breakfast menu. Its close to lots of places to visit. We went to cheddar gorge and brean sands which has a dog friendly beach. There is a beach at burnham on... More

Booked 2 double rooms via an on-line booking site and we were not disappointed. Our host Penny welcomed us at the door and we were shown the lounge and then our rooms. The B&B is a large Georgian manor house with expensive front lawn and imposing circuit driveway. Our upstairs ensuite room, at the rear of the house, was spacious,... More

I had the pleasure of staying 5 nights for work, Penny the owner is very friendly and helpful. They accommodated my husky which was great, I would highly recommend a visit and a stay, I also think its available for private bookings. Wayne

My wife and I and our two dogs have just returned from a superb two nights break at The Greenwood with our host Penny. It is a lovely relaxing place, rooms are spacious airy, very clean with a good range of facilities on offer. Highlights were good shower, great breakfast, lovely garden at the front to soak up the sun... More

Lovely house, Penny said it was dog friendly but we got the impression she just tolerates them, my partner found dog hairs on the dinner table and another guest complained to us he found dog hairs in his breakfast, we're not surprised when her own dogs were seen in the kitchen. 4 of us booked into the family room but... Thank you for your comments. I have obviously given a very poor account of myself and given you the wrong impression of me, for which I apologise unreservedly. I have taken your comments very seriously and will endeavour to improve. More

We stayed here last night for our third visit, and we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. We visit family in this area on a fairly regular basis and always stay here. From the first time we stayed, Penny made the effort to get to know us and to make us feel welcome. She welcomes dogs and people alike, and her... More

I stayed here with my two daughters aged 11 & 14 years old, plus one Yorkee terrier dog. The B&B was very clean. We had a triple room. Plenty of cupboard space. Nice shower. Coffee & tea making facilities with biscuits. There was also a bottle of water. There was plenty of car park space at the back. The front... More

Stayed here last night for a one stop visit, I was a little apprehensive, as b+b isn't really my bag, as I usually go large chain. Greeted by the lovely landlady on arrival, and shown to my beautifully tendered double room, everything was spotlessly clean, and I'd recommend this property to any couples passing through. Breakfast was superb and freshly... More
