From the very good comms before the trip to the well insulated rooms and decent air con we had a great trip here pool and beach both great and plenty of places to get laid out.
This is a family hotel classic average Caribbean accomodation if you like glass fronted glitzy places try Dubai Las Vegas or Singapore. This isn’t for you. Everyone else this is an absolute treat if you understand the Caribbean. Set your expectation levels to this and you will have a great stay.
Some bars and restaurants on the strip closed on a night as it’s close season and it pretty much varied which but always enough to be going on with and we had some really great chilled evenings in what in essence are a strip of beach shacks. The other guests in the hotel were pretty much sound as well just like the locals. Friendly and good fun to be around.
A great trip. Fully recommended.

This is a lovely resort in a convenient location. There is a lovely little beach with access to the Caribbean side of the island and a beautiful pool. I had a rear, Mountain View room for part of my stay (very quiet) and an ocean view room for part. The ocean view, watching the sunset, feeling the breeze and listening to the ocean was incredible. It is noisy a couple of nights a week, but that is not the fault of the hotel. The clubs opposite play ridiculously loud music into the early hours on a Friday but in my personal opinion, the veranda, view and facilities made up for it. In addition the price was very good. Also there is a yoga class on Monday and Wednesday 6.15pm beside the pool ( pay separately) which is worth doing, a tai chi class by the yacht club (ask for details at yoga) and a CrossFit opposite if you are so inclined. The location means you don’t really need a car, there is a very wide range of food choices nearby, furthest 1km walk away. The staff at the resort are really lovely. Valencia (Val) in the housekeeping team and Craig on the beach, and particularly the front of house team. Best of all, as someone who gets eaten alive by mosquitoes, not a single bite at this resort. When deciding where to stay on this island look carefully. Having visited other hotels, and spoken to other tourists on the island, some are very isolated and appeared empty, whereas this resort was well located and had a nice community feel.

Just spent a really great 10 days here. The resort itself has a real Caribbean feel to it. The rooms are spacious and very clean, everything works. The grounds are very well maintained and the staff very friendly and helpful.
The location is perfect as it is right next to the beach on the Caribbean Sea side, so the predominate wind is offshore, meaning the sea is often very calm. The beach is very good and is raked twice a week by the Frigate Bay authority. On the odd occasion there were no sunbeds available we just asked in reception and they sent someone down to put extra ones out. The dock bar is right next to the beach and does good happy hour most days (not Sunday and Closed Monday while we were there).
Just across the road is the Frigate Bay strip which consists of half a dozen or so bars and restaurants, one of the best is the first one you come to. Mr X's Shiggidy Shack and a bit further down Zanzi which also does great Indian food. The nearest shop (Ram Express) is a 10 minute walk away and we were able to get everything we needed from there. Also a bit further down is Rituals coffee shop which does great coffee and food at very reasonable prices.
If I go back to St Kitts I would definitely stay there again.
One thing to note, we booked via British Airways and sometimes they offer first floor mountain view rooms. I would avoid these as they have a very tiny balcony, one chair only. The first floor sea view rooms have a very large balcony with table two chairs and two sunbeds. Downstairs rooms run all the way though and have a kitchenette and large sea view patio.

The property is located on the Caribbean side of the island close to the airport. A small beach near the hotel is a bay and has very clean calm water
The property needs major updating and a complete replacement of all towels and bed sheets, which are so work out and used that they are absolutely awful. All sheets and towels are hung to dry outside and when cleaning service brings another set to the room during housekeeping, they are still dirty and wet. Kitchen is stocked with ABSOLUTE MINIMUM in terms of plates and silverware: two tea spoons, two knives, a few plates and minimum glasses. Most drawers need re-paint and fixing, particularly rusted and broken trash can drawer. Floor needs better cleaning and definitely better cleaning between guests. Our room had a leaky roof, so during heavy rain floor was all wet and needed towels to be placed under the leak
All green lounge chairs on the beach are awful, completely ripped and sunken from overuse. Umbrellas are old too. The service supposed to start at 9, but there is no one at the beach to put up umbrellas until 9:50am and they remove all chairs and umbrellas at 5 pm. The restaurant runs out of some items on the menu even during lunch.

Just returned from 2 weeks at this lovely resort. Big comfortable room with large balcony- worth paying the extra for sea view at the front. No problem with A/C and if the WiFi dropped out it wasn't for long. On site restaurant was very good and the pool was great. Never crowded and enough sunbeds. Resort is quiet this time of year but all but one of the bars on ' The Strip' opposite the hotel were open and all do food. They are typical Carribbean wooden bars/ shacks rather than air conditioned restaurants but Zanzis quickly became our favourite - the nachos and pizzas were to die for. Boozies has the nicest decor and it the biggest restaurant. It seemed to be a local favourite too. Great food. Weekends were a lot busier in the bars and on the beach but there were always enough sunbeds for hotel guests and they would put more out if needed. Snorkeling was good - lots of fish by the rocks and there is a turtle that comes very close to the beach. Beautiful. Because it was the quiet season and no cruise ships were due (lots more is open when they are!) , there wasn't a huge amount to do, but we did a tour of the island by taxi. They charge 40 US dollars an hour and we negotiated a 4 hour tour and saw most things. The helpful reception staff can sort this for you. Laurel was especially helpful with anything. The grounds are well maintained and it is within easy walking distance of the beach bars and about a 15 minute walk inland to Rams shop for supplies. A bigger supermarket is a bit further towards The Marriott hotel. There is also an excellent restaurant along here called Rock Lobster which has A/C and does great food but is more expensive than 'The Strip' places. Every place takes US or EC dollars. There is a cash machine inside the apartment complex next to Rams shop. We loved the relaxed atmosphere and you can ask for housekeeping as little or often as you like. It's not 5 stars but we didn't pay for 5 stars. We were very happy with what we got.

Our stay at the Timothy Beach Hotel (TBH) has to be the best 3 weeks spent anywhere, from our arrival to departure we couldn't have asked for anything more. Our upgraded room in block 2 was comfortable and spacious, had a small kitchenette which included a large fridge/freezer, cooker hob, microwave and coffee filter machine. As well as the extra large bed, there was a sofa set. The balcony gave us beautiful sea and garden views, with most evenings spent watching the sunset and the opportunity to watch the world go by undisturbed. The hotel sits in beautifully manicured and well maintained gardens. Opposite is a pond and at the end of the road a golf course. There a local supermarkets less than a 5 minute walk and a larger RAMS opposite the Marriott, a 10 minute walk. Staying at TBH, there is access to a beautiful sandy beach, sunbeds and beach towels are complimentary. The water warm and inviting, shallow for least 1st 50meters, tide depending. On cruise days the beach and the sea particularly becomes quite congested with speed boats, catermarans and jet skies. The Bistro restaurant adjacent to TBH, is now privately owned, alongside The Dock, a beach bar, which opens Sunday nights for the customary Dock party. The strip has many a dining option, with VIBES for me offering best rum punch. Sadly there is no local bus service close by, taxi's can prove to be expensive, $40 rtn to Basttere, renting a car is your best option. There are local supermarkets less than a 5 minute walk and a larger RAMS opposite the Marriott, a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Whilst I cannot remember all staff names, customer service from everyone was exemplary and I'd like to say a special thank you to Laurel for enhancing our stay. Our stay at TBH was outstanding, a beautiful hotel, in the right location, for a perfect vacation.

I booked a 7 night stay with BA holidays in late September/early October 2024. Here's a honest review of what I found at the Timothy Beach Resort.... The apartment was clean with excellent air conditioning, and a daily room service, and was clean throughout. The grounds were well kept and very presentable. The rooftop pool area is basic, but has a good pool for a cooling swim, with poolside chairs, and umbrella's, which never seemed to be crowded when I visited. The accomodation was basic, but functional, including good TV channel's, (if that's your thing). These were all plus factor's that I experienced, and I speak as I found. Here are the con's....I booked with BA Holidays, and as such it's near impossible to find a holiday rep if you have an issue with your holiday, since they do not employ them. Neither is it easy to contact them to discuss any issue you may have. Regarding timothy beach, the bathroom of my apartment had very poor sealant around the bath area, and as well as mould being present, the presentation of sealant around the tiling, was of very poor standard. On my fifth day I was presented with a notice from the management that the water supply would be disconnected from 10 am this day, giving me around one hours notice of this to happen, however the notice never gave an approximate time of reconnection ? The interruption was to last for 23 hours. This is totally unacceptable for a resort with paying guests. I found very little support from the reception staff, and the following day was presented with a 'free breakfast' ticket, which when utilised, meant that half of the resort's paying guests had the same idea. Waiting times in the restaurant for basic food items were unacceptably slow. I waited 35 minutes for something as simple as tea and toast. On this day however. the breakfast area had ran out of many items due to everyone spending their breakfast tickets ! I should add that the restaurant is not owned by the resort, and as stated, service is painfully slow, and food and drinks within are very expensive. Nobody should have to endure a disconnection of their water supply for that period of time, surrounded by an outside temperature of 30 degrees or higher. Guests should have been relocated,or compensated, but management developed a 'devil may care' attitude to this serious health and safety issue. The resort also has no on site shop, this is almost unheard of today, and the nearest local store is a 20 minute walk away. The Dock bar only opens on a Sunday when I stayed, which meant I never had the opportunity to visit it during the happy hour, again I was informed that the Dock bar is not part of the complex, but a separate entity. In summary, some of it good for the money you are likely to pay, but it's accomodation only. The issue with the water supply is a serious matter, and the compensation offered by management was a perfect disgrace for its guests to endure. Ultimately, I would never return unfortunately.

The Timothy Beach Resort Hotel is right on Frigate Bay beach. It is an older hotel, but that is what gives it its charm and real Caribbean island feel. Reception is small, but welcoming with safety deposit boxes for guests to use as there are no safes in the rooms. All the staff we met were friendly and courteous. We stayed in a one bedroom suite. It was typical Caribbean style. This consisted of a bedroom and kitchen diner with a small bathroom with shower. The rooms went onto a nice balcony. The bed was comfortable and the furnishings fitted the Caribbean theme. There was a large fridge freezer with ice maker and sufficient cooking utensils. Housekeeping is excellent. The pool is on the small size, but with enough length to swim in. It was well kept with number of sun lounges and wicker chairs poolside. There is a bar and small restaurant attached to the hotel. There are also beach bars yards away on Frigate beach. Behind the hotel the hillside contained mongoose and African Green monkeys. As we were staying in their low season it was quiet and comfortable. It got a little busy when a cruise ship came in to port Zante. So don’t expect this hotel to be a ‘Marriott’. It is what it is, an older hotel in the Caribbean style. Overall a pleasant hotel. Well situated for the beach and bars with nice staff. For information because Frigate Bay is on the Caribbean Sea side of the island there was no seaweed clogging up the beach. This is unlike beaches on the Atlantic side that were heavily covered.

We stayed here after a 12-night sailing cruise on Island Windjammer S/V Vela. The Vela anchored in Frigate Bay and our tender delivered us to the dock at one end of Timothy Beach, where we took the walkway up to the resort.
Our room was specious, lovely, & comfortable with a large balcony looking out north so we could see the beach and the Caribbean. We ate a delicious (if pricy) breakfast at the resort's restaurant, the Bistro, overlooking the beach and bay.
This is a beautiful and wonderful property, just be sure to request a room near the office. We loved everything about the resort, except the fact that we were at the next-to-the-furthest building away from the office (about a 1/5 mile hike) and three stories up.

We booked this holiday through British airways sale which the majority of Brits staying there did. It was such good value for money I really can’t see any negatives at all. We stayed for 10 nights and we were checked in quickly and taken to our room and assisted with our cases. Our room was front facing with an amazing view over the sea. It had a large balcony with two sun beds and chairs and table. There was aircon and fan in the room so really comfortable when returning to room. There was a fridge, kettle and starter pack of tea and coffee. The bathroom was clean and always plentiful supply of hot water. We had breakfast included in our holiday and the choices were really good and we looked forward to this every morning. There is no safe in the room but a safe deposit box in reception was available free of charge. You can only use this office hours so a little bit forward planning needed. We spent most of our time on the lovely beach and in the sea. Plentiful supply of sun beds and parasols. Take your snorkel there is lots of beautiful fish and a turtle that visits about lunch time. The hotel is one minute away from the strip. We ate out every night and had lots of choice. The weekend is noisier but could only hear if aircon was off. When we researched the currency it advised to take eastern Caribbean dollars. I would recommend American dollars as every bill was in US dollars then needed converting. There is a small shop about ten minutes walk away but difficult in the heat. You can buy water from the hotel bar. I would say that the island is more expensive than other areas but as everything is brought onto the island the prices reflect this. Having said this we returned home with money as not a lot to spend money on. There was always a taxi outside hotel so no need to book holiday transfers. Would definitely recommend this island and particularly this hotel. The Caribbean beach was definitely the best in the area. Looking forward to returning some day to this lovely island and friendly people.
