We recently stayed in the patio room which is entered from the rear elevation of property. Upon check in we were left disappointed with the lack of service due to only one lady serving customers drinks at the bar. After a long wait, we were eventually given the key to the room for which the bar lady asked a regular...

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. I was unaware until this review that we had a heating issue with this room. New radiators have been installed and it is now back to being toasty warm & cosy again. We appreciate you letting us know. We have also invested in good quality mattress troopers as all...

A good base for exploring this beautiful area of the North East. Less than a mile from the National Trust Cragside property and only 11 miles from Alnwick. A short drive up the coast takes you to the magnificent Bamburgh Castle. There is no onsite parking but there was ample on street parking and I had no problem finding a...

Stayed in one of the apartments at the rear with twin bedroom and two double sofa beds. Very good value with lovely breakfast. The bar is handy for a night cap, good pub food served. Will return again soon hopefully. Has a large beer garden at the rear which would be great in the summer.

We booked a double room for 3 nights from 11 Oct and asked for a room with easy access to outdoors for our little dog. We were contacted by 'Debbie' who emailed us that some renovation work was in progress and offered us Room 2 which she pointed out was not one of their 'dog friendly' rooms, we accepted this...

Mrs D, I have been awaiting your review after the torrent you gave the team on your departure. Despite my best efforts I never got to meet you. My confusion is further compounded that upon departure your husband was absolutely lovely to the team and left a tip. For reasons of allergies and hygiene we only allow pets in one...

Popped in after a visit to Cragside House the village was full of bikers but with a great atmosphere. Looked around for somewhere to eat and popped in here. Staff were friendly shame there were no local beers. Free wi fi & dog friendly with a lovely terraced garden We had the Sunday roast nearly burned my hand on the...

Hi thanks for your feedback, I will speak to the staff re the hot plate and vegetables, everything should have been good- not just acceptable. With regard to the real ales unfortunately we can't offer local ales. We are a punch taverns pub & are tied. They don't buy from a local brewer- we have a great one in the...

We have just come back from a fri to sun stay. We paid £160 for a 4 poster room. Never seen a 4 poster bed while we were there. I was very disappointed as been classed as a 4* thats what i expecting. Carpets were filthy and torn on the stairs. Our bedroom curtains weren't even attached to the rail...

Thank you for your feedback. With regards the the 4 poster bed this was damaged at the end of June and replaced with a solid oak bed. We have updated this information on both our on line booking sites. Our own web site is currently having work completed and would take you through to the EVIIVO site on booking. The...

We stayed here as a family overnight for a trip to Alnwick Castle, I had booked 3 rooms all of which were lovely and spacious. The staff were very nice and welcoming when we arrived. We had breakfast in the morning which was ok but only available for an hour which was a bit strange but not aproblem.

Good location in centre of village. Shops and cafes are within easy walking distance. Very short drive to Cragside. Room in garden area was spacious and well equipped with modern bathroom.
