Had our dinner here this evening. Very quiet, but it is a Monday! Good service from the young lady behind the bar, very polite. Food of good quality and tasty. Although not a huge choice. But still lovely. Recommended.

Fantastic family gathering for Sunday lunch. Great service , friendly staff. We all opted for carvery which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. I then opted for sticky toffee pudding for a sweet - was the best I have had in a long time. Would definatly recommend and will hopefully be returning again soon. Pete Howey

We visited on 31/12 for "special" New Year's Eve dinner. Apparently it had been fully booked since October, but we got in as they had a last-minute cancellation. Very welcoming, as usual; good meal too. We'll have to remember to book early next year!

Staff were very friendly and only too willing to help. Nice to see good customer and attentive service. We both had ham with egg and chunky homemade chips and did...

We were hungry called into this pub where staff gave us full service by telling us what was available. This pub is not posh by the best of standards, However It has loads of character. What could be regarded as a real country pub on a small village green. Although I did not see any farmers standing at the bar...

Stayed the one night in Room 11. Its sold as a superking room which it nearly is. 2 single beds with a mattress topper over them. Bathroom is tiny and the shower an experience (once you manage to get the doors closed on it) The staff are really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fine and cooked to order. There...

Lovely night at Newcastle House. Had a really nice bar meal. The staff are very friendly & accommodating. We had the double room, overlooking front street (6). Bed very comfortable & clean. Room is over the bar but this didn't bother us at all. Great night sleep. Breakfast very good. Cereals, toast, juice, tea or coffee, yoghurts & fresh fruit....
