We bought our offer for £99 for three days B and B at Garstang Steam gathering last year. After reading the reviews we went feeling a bit apprehensive. We needn't have worried. We were allocated an apartment which had everything for the self caterer, was situated on the Lochside with fabulous views, had a wet room as well as a... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. What a superb location. Situated on the banks of Loch Awe, and accessible along a single-track road, this was a great place to stay. However, when we arrived, the hotel was full, and we were allocated the McKenzie room, all rooms being named after Scottish clans. We only needed the room for evenings, as... More

We spent two nights in one of the self-catering apartments right next to the Hotel and Restaurant. It has two floors with the kitchen / toilet / living room on the 1st floor and the bedroom with great bathtub und the 2nd floor. French doors are leading from the living room the the lovely balcony with fantastic Loch Views. Check-In... More

Like a lot of people, we booked our holiday deal at an event show. We had three days in an apartment, then we booked three more days in a loch side chalet and to follow on we booked seven days in the same loch side chalet, all over a period of four years. If there is any down side, the... More

I was apprehensive at our booking for this hotel, after reading some reviews. We bought the stay as a voucher at a holiday show, as have many people. The price and duration were a good buy to go up and see some of Scotland. When we got there we upgraded ( at a low cost) to a lochside apartment. I... More

This was the main stay on our road trip to Scotland and Nth Yorkshire, we (like many others there) had purchased a B + B deal offered at a local village event. On arrival we were directed to a 2nd floor room at the rear of the building which was not the loch view reserved and paid for. After raising... More

My partner booked a 3 night stay at a Food Festival as a pressie as I hadn't been to Scotland before. Having read the reviews and worked in hotel management for ten years I was apprehensive to say the least. We upgraded to a Loch side apartment and was glad we had as it was comfortable, clean, had the basics,... More

Having read many reviews on this place I went for a break with an open mind.what I found was a pleasant hotel, although we were in the self catering overlooking the loch. Our accommodation was cracking, clean comfortable and very warm.Food was excellent, all cooked to order and tasty.I personally had a really good experience, the staff were pleasant and most accommodating. If I have a... A remote and cut off establishment run by over worked well mannered European staff. Difficult to get fresh towels. Badly maintained and dated decorated, crumbling interiors. Non functioning WiFi in rooms which are mainly away from the main building. Great views of the stunning Scottish scenery.

We had heard so many mixed reviews on this hotel that we really didn't know what to expect. Like many people we had initially bought a 3 night break at a country show but then decided to extend to a week as travelling a long distance The location of the hotel is lovely, along the lochside with far reaching views....
