I liked the freshly refurbished room - it is clean and comfy. All rooms have balconies with a sea/street view. At the rooftop there is a pool, that has two zones of depth. The staff is polite and helpful. The location of the hotel is very good: the beach is 2 min away. To the center of the village it is 10 min by long steps up, or up the hill. There are two negative things: 1. The room is just a room. No fridge, no hairdryer, no kettle. 2. The breakfast is awful. The worst breakfast I had. The bread is old (the whole week the basket was filled with the same croissants and buns), the cheese and meat looks not fresh. The selection of food is very bad. I recommend the hotel to review it's breakfast strategy.

The hotel is really very nice, modern and renovated. Always clean and Reception girls are really nice and helpful. The location is perfect-near the beach. I liked that they are using Eco friendly bottles for soap. But they don't have hair dryers in the room. The only one problem for me was breakfast, really low quality, from frozen products breakfast. It is 3 star hotel not a hostel! And breakfast is very important for the good start of the day. It is Ok, if you are used to eat not healthy, low quality food, but if not, it coul'd be a problem. We couldn't find any fresh vegetable, fruits or yougurt. Later, before our holliday was getting finished, they puted some fresh fruits, maybe they saw that they are having more visitors, but still no fresh vegetable, any tomato, any yogurt, poridge..just sweets from freezer, bread, eggs, bacon and cheese and 2 kind of cereals...and coffe machine every day was not working good...it seems that they try very much to save on the breakfast..

We stayed in this hotel for a week in june 2019. Rooms are just renewed in modern style, but very small! The view of our room was on the road, so not amazing. Some important equipment were missing, like hair dryer and frigobar. Girls at reception are very kind and professional, like in general all the rest of the staff. Unfortunately the breakfast was quite mediocre: only frozen croissant, cookies, ham, cheese.. during last days something better, like fresh fruit, but we never said wow about the breakfast. The position is good, you can go by feet to the beach in one minute, but don't forget that cala'n porter is very quiet. I guess we ll come back in this place, cause was quite cheap, but t I hope they will improve something.

This hotel really is a mixed bag. In its favour I can commend its serene, secluded location with diverse bird life and a cute cove and beach just down the road. The reception staff are lovely: polite, helpful and competent. The views from the roof bar are great, and the wine served top quality. The vibe is also chilled. Moreover, the rooms are clean, spacious and good value. However, my stay was marred by a very poor breakfast which left a bad taste in my mouth all day (even as I write). Packaged (not fresh) pastries, lumpy omlette, cheap machine-coffee and budget juice create a very poor culinary offering. The choice is also limited and some of the staff sadly unkempt and unprofessional. I was also annoyed not to have my wine returned despite entrusting it to the bar staff (one member of whom has a chippy, miserable manner) for safekeeping in the fridge. I find this very careless and disappointing. The location of the hotel below the adjacent cliff also means music from the town can be heard later in the evening. If you can overlook the flaws, this hotel is worth considering, but I am sure there are better alternatives.

The front desk lady who welcomed me here was so sweet: very polite, smiley and genuine in her concern to ensure my stay went smoothly. My room, moreover, was clean, spacious and smartly decorated, and had a cute balcony. The restaurant balcony was more impressive still, stretching over the length of the hotel to offer magnificent views of the valley opposite. A superb place to enjoy a glass of Rioja with the swallows flitting overhead on a still June evening (in between random bursts of speed underfoot from the resident cat, who also performed an amusing backwards vault from the stone wall by the pool onto the ground). Where this hotel really went wrong, however, was in the breakfast. All the pastries and breads were tough to the teeth, the scrambled eggs horribly chewy, the latte (cafe con leche) far too creamy and the selection overall very limited. I’d also echo the comment made by other reviewers that the tattooed man was nonchalant and looked unprofessional. Added to this was the very loud music, which jarred on me. Overall a peculiar mix of very good and very bad, which could be addressed by a more focused vision of the hotel’s direction / image, I suspect.
