We were thrilled to bits with our week stay here, and were very sad to leave. The hotel was just stunning. With it's gorgeous pool, view over the Harbour, seating areas in the shade, bar and restaraunt area it had everything we needed. The staff were always friendly and you are always greeted with a smile. We met some lovely other guests there, and spent many evenings sitting outside drinking the famous Mahon Gin with lots of laughs! The location is perfect - a 15 minute walk into the centre of Mahon, and a 15 minute walk to the beautiful Calas Fontes, perfect for an evening meal and glass or two of Sangria! There is a bus stop just 1 minute walk from the top of the drive from the hotel, regular busses running every half hour. Taxi's are very regular too, which the hotel are always happy to arrange for you. We also hired a car for a couple of days, which was arranged through the hotel, couldn't have been easier! The car was brought to us at the hotel, we paid, and on the day of return simply left the keys with the Clerk at the hotel. Brilliant! Breakfast every morning at the hotel was lovely, fresh cheese and ham, bread, fruit, pastries and cerials. Rooms were cleaned every day. There is a small petrol station just over the road from the hotel which is handy to buy large bottles of water/snacks etc. Behind the petrol station is a Pharmacy if you need it. Over all we could not fault our stay here, and will return without a doubt! 5 stars from me!

This hotel was just what we wanted. Position easy 20 mins walk in to Mahon and Es Castell in the evenings ( a bit harder coming back after a wine or 2 ) We had a car so out during the days to different beaches, so the bar shutting between 3pm-5pm did not bother us. We did come back to sit at the pool a couple of days late afternoon, No breeze so really hot glad we did not have to sit there all day though it was 40+ while we was there. Rooms very nice, clean, (cleaners do a great job) Air con amazing, No balcony, we was straight out on the pool area, a window opening at the back of the room, No TV, No window in bathroom, no hairdryer, if i had one moan it would be that the bed was a bit firm, if all this bothers you!!! Staff fantastic and friendly, Breakfast was ok, you can buy cooked bacon eggs etc extra, felt that they could have had boiled eggs and yogurt at the buffet, Also coffee was not great out of a machine. We did have lunch from the bar on our last day and it was very good, A lot of people said the bar food was very good if they did not go out in the evenings. Owner does a tour of the house on Friday mornings it was very good. Everyone staying at this small hotel were friendly and nice, I would say older couples, there are a few stairs to master to the rooms, not really great for children, but we was there end of June. Please Please do your research before you book this hotel it does not deserve some of the low ratings that some have gave it. We would return. Thank you for a fab week.

Just got home from staying in this lovely historic hotel. Enrique is the manager and does a knowledgeable tour around the hotel on a Friday, which is brilliant. Bar food was very good and all the staff are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. Ideally situated between Es Castell and Mahon you can get a bus or taxi at a very reasonable price. The TUI rep Leanne was lovely and knowledgeable about the area. Pool area is quite and plenty of sun beds available. The only negative is that the bar closes which makes it difficult to get a drink (soft or alcoholic) you have to go to the petrol station supermarket to get one. Could do with maybe a small fridge in the rooms. All in all great relaxing holiday and will be visiting again

Recommended lovely setting, staff very friendly. We had a restful stay. For me no negatives. Pool good. Far enough out of Mahon & Es Castell for some peace but only a short bus trip for all you need & more.

Good, reasonably priced food as always. They accept bookings from non residents to eat in the restaurant or the bar but we also prefer the bar meals. They understand my need for gluten free food and advise accordingly. The waiting staff are friendly and helpful.
