We stayed here after a day of hiking. We had a huge room with a good view. We used the spa to relax in. Service at the hotel was excellent. The food was very good and the waiter had good recommendations.
We spent 3 nights here. Hotel set in stunning forested andscape, within about half a hour'drive from Mt. Teide. We had a junior suite with large corner balcony overlooking forested mountains. We loved watching the sunrise over the pines. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and any issues were dealt with. Hotel had an alpine feel throughout (very woody). The spa was excellent and immaculately clean with lots of options (Turkish bath, Swedish + Finnish saunas, cold plunge, big jacuzzi, relaxing areas with hot/cold drinks and beautiful pool). Very quiet. Treated myself to a massage which put the cherry on the cake!
Too much money per night for such low quallity of service...Sanarium turn off by night, jacuzzi with cold water, and at the dinner...food was cold, but nobody ask us if sometging went wrong when we left almoust all the food in untouched
Nice hotel with spacious rooms set in a pine forest overlooking the picturesque town of Vilafloor. Furthermore it is away of the busy and noisy area of Costa Adeje and it is a short distance from the El Teide natural reserve. Rooms are well furnished in early 20ieth century style, clean, very well maintained and includes some improvements such as double insulated windows and patio door. Breakfast is good and is served at the table. The spa is a good addition and helps to relax after a day of hiking. WI FI is available on the premises as well as t he garden, however it was very week and very unstable in the room I had.
We are a multigenerational group, having stayed in two rooms at the Hotel Spa Villalba for two nights. We chose this hotel as our base while we explored Mt Teide and the surrounding areas. It was an easy drive up from the southern side of the island. The hotel itself is an older building that has been renovated in a thoughtful way, keeping traditional details and the ambiance intact. The rooms are very spacious by European standards, and even by American standards. The balcony and bathrooms are spacious as well. Everything was very clean. The bathrooms were particularly delightful with their Spanish tile and old fashioned style fixtures. The on-site restaurant served a lovely breakfast included in the cost of the room. We also ate dinner there, outside on the patio, which was a wonderful way to end the day. What is most special about this hotel are the grounds and the spa. As an American, when I read this hotel had a "spa", I assumed this meant for guests that wanted to pay extra for a massage, etc. What we discovered is that yes, they do have paid services, however the entire lower floor contains a common spa that all guests can access. There is a jacuzzi, indoor/outdoor pool, a hot and cold water walk, an ice fountain, a cold dipping pool, a humidity room, and two saunas. This discovery was absolutely delightful for us; we changed our whole itinerary to spend more time enjoying the spa and the grounds. The spa opens up to a series of decks and paths that are under the pine trees, with a view of the valley. Each guest gets a bathrobe and we spent our time relaxing and lounging inside and outside. The grounds are large enough that we felt we had ample personal space to unwind and relax. The climate and vegetation is totally different than lower elevations of Tenerife, so it was like a mini escape within our larger Tenerife itinerary. Overall we enjoyed staying at Hotel Spa Villalba very much; staying here was the kind of wonderful experience that I still reflect on weeks later. It is a special place, and the value is excellent. I highly recommend visiting them. I hope to return again one day.…
We were looking for a restaurant in Vilaflor, and reached the reception as per indication on the gate of the restaurant. The lady saw us but was busy in a conversation and did not ask anything to us. As we supposed that the other person was a customer we waited 10 minutes before asking if we could go to the restaurant. We were told to wait 1 minute while she finished with the other customer. After 10 more minutes she said that the restaurant was full. 20 minutes to be told to go to another place. Never happened to me before.
We had to organise quickly a sejour there and so got a room de luxe with Park view... A précision : Park view is view on the mountain, not the park of the hotel... But don't worry, the road has not a great passage as the hotel is almost the terminus...So after 10 pm the noise is only due to the other persons in other rooms. And effectively some have not a lot of education...We have to request twice in the night to got calm...and I think the management has request a soon departure for those peoples. Nice volume, clean rooms-calm when, everyone respect the others... Good breakfast "a la carte" but enough choice and good quality. Very good diner-starters-main course and dessert. Better service than last year : no hurry with a sinhgle man who run everuywhere. Situation seemed fixed now. So to recommand and you have a super basis to explore Teide and neighborough... Perhaps toi have maps from the park with the trails could be a very nice idea...…
Spent three nights here on a walking holiday and found the hotel perfectly located for accessing the hills around. Very friendly staff and the room was spacious with a big balcony overlooking the village below. The gardens are beautifully kept and very peaceful. Restaurant food was very good and the lounge, with a big log burning stove, nice to have pre or post dinner drinks in. Alpine style decor, the place is spotless and would definitely recommend.
You come here to be in the nature. And you are, with some hikes which can be done directly from Vilaflor(paisages lunares, El sombrero,...) or not far(parque del Teide). The tiny town is very pretty. The hotel is at the end of a dead end road near the stadium. It is a nice building, with nice volumes. The lobby is impressive, the garden nice. We had a room with spa and the bathroom is terrific. It is quiet. The breakfast is good but perhaps some local pastries at the place of the eternal croissants is to think. Good fresh juice, good ham/sausage and cheese. The diners were nice, local, but don't expect "over-presenttaion"...it is rustic. Good choice of wines and beer. Very nice clerck at check in : smiling young woman, very sympathic and helping. At the restaurant, sometimes a too over-excited service, sometimes quite... 2 remarks : we were there for 4 nights, eat there the 4 diners and in those time of covid we were not so much. The check out was at noon and so we ask in order to be able to do a small hike in the morning a late check in of...one hour(1 pm )...No way say the clerk the day before...NOT VERY COMMERCIAL!!!(it was the not the young woman...). Also at the end of the week they open 2 dining rooms : one had a fire and is more cosy... And despite the fact we have been there for 4 nights we were not proposed that one and eat in the common one... I think a politic of some attention for the longest guests should be a progress. It's part of the job...…
We spent three nights at the hotel at the end of December 2019 after seven nights in a villa on the coast and enjoyed every aspect of the hotel. The restaurant was excellent, the staff were polite and courteous and the rooms well appointed.
