Check in went fine lovely reception staff and really helpful as our rooms weren't ready when we arrived so we went for lunch at the bottom pool which was fine we did stay in block 2 with limited view of the beach Although the room had been upgraded (perhaps not the bathroom but we didn't mind ) it was fine for our needs. Dining room was lovely great staff very helpful lovely beers and wines enough variety of food for our needs we always found a table outside which was lovely . Don't go rushing for sunbeds to there always plenty of beds we used to go around 9.00 before breakfast that was fine but you have to know where to go to not had shade … Gym was well equipped with my needs and with great views Shame the bar buy the Entertainment wasn't open it would have saved us walking to the bottom bar for drinks Pool bar was fine paper cups not good but we accepted it they do have Barcelo app you should download as it say all what's in the AL package with drinks including bottle tonic . We drink jack Daniels which was 2.50 euros for a really good amount so we didn't mind paying . Both pools were nice but the quiet pool we choose as it was quiet and not far from the roof top we sunbathed in ( a real suntrap ) the barman makes the best sangria there and again really helpful . The beach was a real attraction and lovely to visit we didn't go the the small food hut so we cant commit We did go the Magaluf a few times as we needed a walk (sadly too hilly here if you are walkers ) but only paid 5 - 6 euros each way well worth it, you can catch the bus but when we were there they changed the bus stop further up the street so we decided taxi was best. We did our Argan 30 test the for 30 euros really simple with a certificate to confirm we were negative this was really useful it saved us faffing about Entertainment by all the team was great we enjoyed the shows they worked hard all the time we were there aqua aerobics was funny to watch and stretching I loved it The down side -------- there is a roof on top of block two with sun beds and the best view of the sea and a real suntrap this isn't being used used by many which is a shame! Barcel you need to just give this area a clean just power wash it down and some plants a waste of space at the moment The spa you get 60 mins free to use in here with the most lovely staff but the spa is a health hazard !!! there no guide to tell you what to use first ?? Half the pumps in the pool don't work so you cant really just sit in the cold water ?? the hand rail to get in to the pool is very shaky and not safe this is a hazard Turkish room was nice and hot but the steam rooms wooden floor is not safe to walk on and the high seat at the back to sit was dangerous the nails were coming away from the panel this was a major hazard !! the jacuzzi just outside up the stair from he spa room was really dirty with no water in there so we cant really comment on that . Overall we enjoyed our 10 days at this hotel and had value for our monies . But just to say All the staff make that hotel great also the location with the beach. with out that this hotel may not be as good x

I really recommend this hotel to the families. The stay was great. The food was diversified and the personnel was super helpful. The beach is also very nice located. The only downside is a design of the rooms which need a little bit of refurbishment but it didnt spoil the holidays at all. I will recommend this hotel to the friends and family.

Everything was average accept the view. Food isn’t great, gets you by so we chose to eat out mostly. Rooms need updating, decor is a bit naff and old which is a shame because the view was absolute fantastic, key cards kept playing up which was a pain and reception replaced and assisted but still locked out coming home from a night out is an unwanted nuisance. Beds are super comfy; had to ask for extra pillows though.

Such a beautiful hotel in a beautiful place, but unfortunately there is only one bar open & that’s a pool bar with uncomfortable plastic chairs no seating cushions & the worst is you get all dressed up at night to be served your lovely glass of wine or cocktail in a paper Coca Cola cup, also sometimes you could be queuing for over 15 mins to get a drink as often only one bar person serving not what I expected at all, Barcelo group should be ashamed, they say in the description cocktail bar, a la carte restaurant & onsite shop but they wereall closed & apparently havnt opened at all.We would never have chosen this hotel if we had known this the night times were awful sitting in that scruffy pool bar. We did go to a couple of bars but there were lots of steps & had to walk over the sand & the beach. The restaurant was probably the nicest part eating outside lots of choice of salad & tuna etc but unfortunately the meat was always chewy & tough I assume the management are using cheap cuts of meat. Because the staff work really hard open cooking the meat, the nicest meal was breakfast everyday. We have been in Barcelo hotels many times over the years & never had a problem, but will not book a Barcelo again. They don’t seem to care about their clients at all judging by our experience at this hotel, what should have been a beautiful hotel holiday completely spoilt. I also feel that Tui are wrong in their description of this & to rate it as a 5* currently is totally incorrect. Animation entertainment staff absolutely saving Grace for this hotel amazing.
