We stayed at this hotel as a couple from 30 Sep until 7 Oct.This is a 4 star hotel with nice Beach access.Beach is public and sun lounger is available at a cost of 13 Euro a day. Check in was smooth and Sandra was very helpful and kind on many times during our stay.We had booked sea view room which was in Block 3.It was spacious, light and overlooking sea.Bathroom was modern and refurbished. This hotel us not suitable for people with mobility problem .There are 2 pools on different level but were cold.there was no evening entertainment and food was either cold or warmish. Many people were using microwave.Staff are fantastic and always on hand to help you.Safe in the room cost 3 Euro a day as well as a deposit.Deposit also require for pool towels and kettle.Overall a pleasant stay .I give this hotel 4 star

Went for 2 weeks to celebrate our anniversary when we arrived it took 30 minutes wait to check in. They said they had upgraded our roo. As ot was our anniversary (lovely we thought) room had a lovely view (block 3) but no kettle, asked and told needed to pay €30 deposit for one even thought superior rooms were advertised as having one, and had to pay €42 for the safe. I complained and got the €42 back for safe and kettle for free. The room was shabby needed updating. The sun lounges were filthy and so was the jacuzzi (we didn't go in it). Theval a cart., beach bar and on site shop were all closed. There was no evening entertainment as advertised due the the hotel loose g their licence. However the worst issue was the food all like warm or Cole and poor quality so we went into magaluff or palma nova to eat at night even though we were all inclusive. On the positive note the animation team were fantastic a big shout out to savana, Gregory and all the others (sorry don't know their names). They worked so hard.

We booked the holiday with Jet 2 and feel totally let down, no rep to meet us at the hotel and just a envelope advising us if we wanted to book trips to ask our rep ? The snack bar was terrible by the pool, the hot tub was filthy and there is no dress code in the evening in the restaurant. The restaurant and house keeping staff work so hard and could not do enough, there was no night entertainment as the hotel had lost its license and if there was a rep on site when we arrived would not have stayed in this hotel as there was a beach crossing and loads of steps along with a 2 mile walk to the nearest town. We phoned Jet 2 (Leeds number UK ) and finally got a call back she was very understanding and arranged to meet us ,which she did and we explained our concerns with the hotel. We would never have booked this hotel if we had known about the entertainment and it seemed very strange has other guests felt the same way has us ,what was even stranger was the Jet 2 information appeared (which was no where to be found before our conversation to the rep) and on the last night there was a tribute act on .Overall WASTE OF MONEY and wouldn't go here again .

I came back from the Occidental Cala Vinas yesterday, 09.10.2021, my adult daughter and me stayed for a week. Check in was quite smooth and quick, I had a superior room booked, my daughter a seaview room. I did struggle a bit to find the room, the different buildings are somewhat disconnected. Once in the room, I discovered that the room did not have a walk- in shower. As I had an accident very recently, I am still finding climbing difficult and called reception for another room with the desired walk-in shower, which was sorted out quite quickly. I was given a family apartment at no extra cost as these seem to be the only rooms with the walk in facility. The room was of adequate standard, the aircon unit was sufficient. Unfortunately there were initially no English TV channels, I did mention this to reception and miraculously they became available, but only BBC1 and BBC2, and Cbeebees. I do enjoy watching German TV but no channels neither, so again after mentioning this, they also were available half way through the holiday. The bed was quite comfortable, but the spanish pillows are not what we are used to here. They are a lot longer but thinner, so you may need to ask for extras and this is not just the case in this hotel. The cleaning lady dealt with the extra pillow request promptly. Food was better than I expected, I never really use myself as a gauge because I am a veggie, but I always found something to eat. I especially enjoyed the "Middle East night". The waiting staff are efficient and friendly, bar one waiter who never ever smiled or spoke to us. His haircut reminded me a bit of Diego Maradona, I dont know his name. The rest of the staff were lovely and made up for Mr. Miserable. The one thing I always miss in Spain is tomatoes, olives and cucumber for breakfast, this was always available at all other meal times. But having said this, there were choices of different cold meats, cheeses and sometimes even cubes of feta cheese. There are two pools on different levels. The whole resort is on different levels, so if you have difficulty with mobility, this may not be the hotel for you. There are lifts etc but there is still a bit of walking to do from one block to the next. The pools were freezing cold, the sun is not strong enough any more to warm the water, and none of the pools, including the indoor pool, are heated. This was a shame as we do enjoy swimming. The staff at the pool bar were friendly and there was no wait to be served. The entertainment team really made our holiday! These guys are absolutely fantastic and work very very hard! 3 men and 1 lady, thank you so much for all the laughs and good times we had, your shows are incredibly good, you all have real talent. Thank you DJ Santana, Gregorio and team!! (from Deniz and Larissa). All in all we did enjoy our stay at this hotel, thank you Occidental Cala Vinas, you did good.

Setting was lovely, staff were super friendly, rooms were clean. Hotel is quite spread out for those with mobility problems. Lots of steps. Loved the pool settings, loved the drinks selection/service. Food at the buffet could be improved as sometimes cold and lack of choice.
