Stayed for 7 nights with 2 teenagers had a great time. The room we had was clean modern and spacious no aircon only ceiling fans but found the rooms to be cool enough although in the height of summer it could get uncomfortable. We used the rooftop pool and thought it was great very clean bit cold when going in at first but swim up and down a couple of times and you are used to it . The only moan i have is the room only being cleaned once in 7 days the bins are only small so overflow very quickly. The area around the hotel are steep hills so could cause problems to the less mobile also not a lot to do around the area . Route 66 pub and Highland paddy's were the two bars we used the most. It's 40 euros in a taxi to Las Americas or a regular bus service from outside the hotel is a few euros . Lidl is a 2 min walk from the hotel which was very handy .

We found the complex friendly and quiet (in the two bedroom apartment #165) since no one could walk past it. The sea view was the most amazing I have ever experienced. Due to the large balcony we could have breakfast and dinner with an amazing view to the sea and Los Gigantes. Personnel is nice and other visitors relaxed. We liked the downstairs pool the best due to the size and close to wifi.
Wifi does not really work in apt 165, but the only ones who complained were the kids ;-). Environment is quite steep, so you need to be prepared and sporty to walk around. Lidl nearby was great, and for other products you need to walk a bit further.
We were lucky to find a free parking place near the building all the time. Do not forget to bring your own tea towels for dishes: soap and brush is being provided. Upon arrival everything was very clean, but during the stay the only swap clean towels, make the bed and add toiletpaper.

We stayed in a 3 bedroomed apartment, plenty of room for 7 adults. 1 x double room 2 x twin rooms and a good sturdy sofa bed in the lounge, double room was en suite with a balcony, another separate bathroom and a balcony off the lounge. We had a view of the street in room 81. The lounge was spacious with a TV and storage and a table and chairs. The balcony was small with a table and 2 chairs so we couldn't all sit out at the same time. The kitchen was small but well equipped with kettle toaster, microwave and a fridge freezer with plenty of space. Maids changed the beds and left clean towels once in the week and came in a second time to take the rubbish and leave toilet rolls. The safety deposit box was 21 euro for the week and was in the wardrobe of the double bedroom. WiFi was available round the pool area only or 25 euro for the week, no bar for drinks round the pool near reception but there was a vending machine fairly priced. The rooftop pool was small, there was a bar and the views were amazing.the restaurant serve a buffet breakfast I think it was 9euros each but no other meals. Puerto De Santiago is small with a lidl,a few shops and restaurants many of which weren't open everyday. A walk down the hill to the harbour area of Los giantess is nice with shops and restaurants along the way and a small beach. Bus stop outside the hotel takes you to Costa adeje,Las americas and Los christianos .
We enjoyed our stay at vigilia park but wouldn't come back to this part of tenerife again it is very hilly and people with walking difficulties may struggle.

As the title says, absolutely love this hotel we have stayed multiple times!

Very cheap to stay, rooms have recently been refurbished so very fresh and modern and some even have en-suites in the second bedroom.

Very worth the money, shops underneath are also very handy. Scoobys cafe is a must!

Been lucky that it hasn’t been mega busy when visiting in aug/sep so always got sunloungers and pools weren’t mobbed.

Only thing I can’t comment on is food as we never ate at the restaurant. Got snacks from the upstairs pool/bar which were good.

2 minute walk to Lidl and there is a chippy and Italian down the side street which are also very good.

Can’t recommend enough. Parrot shows are also very good

Just returned from a wonderful week at Vigilia Park and can honestly say there’s no better place to escape to for glorious weather and relaxation.

Our plane was delayed a couple of hours so we arrived late evening to a lovely welcome from the man on reception who explained everything we needed to know about the hotel.

My husband, sister and I were given a gorgeous duplex apartment on the 4th floor with sea views from our balcony. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped, the cleaning ladies came every weekday but have weekends off which is fine. My sister and I can honestly say these were the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in on holiday.

The crowning glory of the Vigilia is the rooftop terrace with swimming pool, jacuzzi and bar looking out across the sea. Plenty of sun beds and comfy chairs on two levels, the top level solarium was a real sun trap. The bar had happy hour 4-5 every day and it meant 2 glasses of wine cost €2 two beers were just over €2 and a litre of Sangria just over €5. We were definitely ‘happy’.

Breakfast is served every day 7.30-10 and we enjoyed the choice of cereals, yoghurts, fruit, continental selection and hot food for €7 each with unlimited drinks. You can pay daily as required no pre booking
The area around the hotel is fantastic for walking cliff paths around the bays in both directions towards Los Gigantes or Playa de la Arena.
We found plenty of restaurants to eat dinner at very reasonable prices but dinner is €18 at the hotel.
Vigilia is the perfect winter escape and we will definitely be returning next January as there was nothing more we could ask for.
Well done to all the hardworking staff for looking after us so well.
See you next January.

Nice place to kick back and relax. We enjoyed a month there. Tip 1 be prepared to walk up and down a lot of steep hills. If you have trouble with walking alot of the areas are close enough to take a cab for 3 euros or take the public bus and go all over the place. Los Chistianos has a great beach. The best restaurant that we ate at was The El MaNico steak house. Great food and terrific service. It is within walking distance of Vigilia. Oh yeah that nice mountain you can drive to, If you want to take the Gondola to the very top you have to purchase a ticket on line before you go. We drove all the way up there only to find out it was sold out for the day.

We have just returned from staying at this Hotel infact we have just returned. The first thing I would advise anyone who ventures this far on Holiday is to book a Taxi for a Transfer and do not suffer the coach transfer as it takes a very long one and a half hours to get there. The next shock is when you get off of the bus you can't see the entrance to the Hotel, this is because the reception is in the middle of a shopping centre. Thats right you have to walk right through the shopping centre to get into the Hotel. Quite daunting but you'd never see the pictures on the Website so I thought I'd mention it. The Hotel is essentially split into two areas with an interlinking set of stairs. I must point out that this hotel is not airconditioned so please keep away from it in the summer as you will fry. The Website states that all of the Rooms have a seating area and a balcony, that is unless you are unlucky enough to think that you have booked an apartment but mistakenly booked a Studio. The Studio or its facilities are not listed on the Website infact the Studio does not exist on the Web. Beware the Sudio does not have a Balcony or a Seating Area, however you do get two plastic seats to sit on and you can open the Window to let in the air. So be very careful what you book as all of it is not what it seems and once you are in situ you can do V little about it.

Dear Daved B, We are really surprised on your comments about us! We don´t colaborate directly with On the Beach, only through a local agent. We already get in touch with them to see and resolve any incorrect information (we don´t understand where they got from) Unfortunately ee cannot be responsible for third-party publications. But when we receive any information from our guests try to fix so that it doesn't happen again to other guests. So thank you for your help! Transfer can be longer due to several drop off, for next time holidays we recommend you to contact the hotel/resort to see if they have any "direct" transfer or take taxi. It is around 42km so sould take around 35 minutes by car (depending traffic) We are not sure what Website you mean, you can find all the information and pictures on our oficial Website (even from our Studio units). Also recommend for next time holidays to check the oficial Web of the place you Will spend your holidays to avoid any surprises. Apart from all we hope that you have enjoyed our lovely island Tenerife! Kind regards, Viktoria Demeter

The hotel is poorer than what you pay for. The first issue I found when entering my room was that it was not clean and I mean the general flat and the kitchenware (pans, glasses, etc). The rooms get extremely warm as the fans do not kick out a lot of power (you feel the heat hit you as you walk in). There is also a window in the bathroom to let out steam, however it is inaccessible as too high. The shower in our room would go boiling hot for about 2 minutes but then went freezing cold and would stay cold. The pool does not open until 11am and you cannot use pool floaties in it so don't bother carrying the extra weight in your case as I did, you can also not play with any balls such as a beach ball (this applies to both pools). The pool is also deep at all points so no chance to relax due to not being allowed floaties and you have to swim. It states that there is a pizza oven next to the pool which there is... it was just never open, along with the bar downstairs. The bar on top of the hotel with the other pool was open, however there was not much choice on the cocktail list and I ordered a pizza which I watched them take out of the freezer (looked / tasted like one from a supermarket). They state that the WIFI is free but it is not I paid 25 euros to use the WIFI for the week but it did not reach our room and had to use our own data. The safety deposit box is also 15 euros for the week. You could say you get what you pay for but with the trip advisor rating being 3.5 I expected better, I'm just glad we had plenty of excursions planed.

Visited Vigilia Park last week, we were very impressed with everything ! Our apartment overlooked the pool and restaurant, so we could people watch !The apartment was very roomy and very clean, and we liked the ceiling fans ! The kitchen area was well equipped, and the bathroom was a good size.My granddaughter slept on the pullout double bed, and I had the double bed in the bedroom...both beds were comfortable and we slept well ! Vigilia Park is in a great location, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby., with Lidl just up the road .We recommend Domu Mia ,Restaurante El Meson, Alfonso Restaurant. There are bus stops and taxis outside (buses and taxis are cheap, but you need to put money on a Ten card to use the bus, which you can buy at the library), plus a Post Office over the road. The staff at Vigilia Park are friendly and helpful.
We would definitely stay there again, it was everything we wanted , so we had a really good holiday !

An unusual approach to reception was walking along a variety of shops. The check-in was efficient, with clear directions to the 2nd floor apartment via 2 small lifts. The 1 bed apartment was spacious and clean which housed a double bed, built in cupboards, iron, ironing board, safe and a ceiling fan. The shower room was also clean and spacious, with two shower heads. The hand held smaller shower was more powerful than the ceiling shower. Towels were replaced regularly. The compact kitchenette included a breakfast bar, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, microwave and large fridge/freezer. There was only 1 accessible socket, which I used for the kettle and separately for the toaster – the other 2 sockets were above the microwave, which I couldn’t reach! Sliding patio doors opened on to the balcony, with table and 2 chairs and an amazing view overlooking Los Gigantes and Santiago. Yes, it is hilly, but the views are amazing and Lidl is only a few minutes’ walk up the hill; there were a number of reasonably priced restaurants all within a 20 minute walk (Tipsy Terrace is excellent). There is a pool on the ground floor, another smaller one on the 4th floor together with a children’s pool, although they weren’t open until 11.00 in summer time and 10.00 in winter time! There is a bar selling drinks and food on the 4th floor with tables, chairs and sun beds. The 16 or so other sun beds on other side of the pool are a bit cramped, but handy to watch the kids. There is, however, a great sun deck on the 5th floor with plenty of sun beds – a fab place to chill out. The small, volcanic local beaches were closed off, but the larger beach was open, which was a good 20-25 minute walk away. A luggage room is available for late departures and locker rooms are available with showers.
