I was sceptical to go to this hotel with only a 3 star rating but in truth if I had not seen this rating I would say it was at least a 4 star. All of the staff were very personable the room is modern the food is good (My children struggled with what to chose they mostly ate pasta every night) It is definitely worth visiting the Italian restaurant (don’t forget your ticket the big cheese wasn’t happy that we did not have our ticket given to us by reception but he was happy with just our room number) The entertainment team are awesome. We spent most of our time around the quiet pool but we discovered the daytime entertainment on our last day and we had such a great time playing games. The evening was lots of fun with the mini disco for the babies and after we had a mixture of quizzes, dancers and flamenco. My children did not want to leave. It was a magical holiday. Thank you Tamiamo Tropical. Keep up the good work.

To start with, the weather was absolutely gorgeous which made the experience better. Hotel was clean and always active. There is loads of activities in the day they are constant which is great. Entertainment at the night is also quite good such as dance shows simmer shows and karaoke. Food was decent however more choice would be nice as I lived on chips and pasta for a week. Not many shops around however enough shops that sell your basic needs and souvenirs such as a Lidl if you are self catering. If you require special assistance or etc this place is not for you the area is very hilly and full of steep hills and steep stairs which makes it hard for people in wheelchairs or such. The final thing I must say is cockroaches. If you are not a fan of cockroaches do not come here we seen a minimum of 4 cockroaches a day in our room which really spoiled our experience. However apart from that it was a good holiday with nice staff and adequate rooms just a shame that it was infested with roaches.

Absolutely lovely hotel. We were self catering due to dietary requirements so can’t comment on the all inclusive. Our apartment was lovely, super comfortable and clean. The air con was the quietest I’ve ever encountered. The pools were brilliant, good selection with some quieter areas. The staff were all lovely, the cleaning staff were wonderful, always cheery and helpful. The wifi wasn’t amazing but we all needed the digital detox. It was a superb base to explore with an absolutely dramatic backdrop of los gigantes. We’d stay back here in a heartbeat

A bit apprehensive about our holiday after reading the reviews however we had a lovely holiday as a couple in our late twenties, we wanted a nice relaxed holiday and that is what we got. • for us the food was a great variety and enjoyed breakfast, lunch and evening meals, sometimes had to queue but didn’t bother us much as we expected that for a big hotel however not much food is labbeled so could be an issue for food allergies/intolerances, overall we enjoyed the food • all staff very friendly and welcoming • house keeping service everyday apart from sundays which was fine with us • good choice of drinks for all inclusive (however i do wish bottled water was included for night times) but we found a small bar opposite who sold bottle water for 1 euro each, the owner very friendly • beautiful scenery and lovely walks surrounding however very hilly • we managed to get sun beds in both pools no matter what time of day • we were on 3rd floor with spacious / clean room and had no trouble with noise • tui reps in hotel reception everyday if any queries or bookings We would come back again and really enjoyed our stay :) •

Poor experience. Staff were apathetic and rude. For instance, telling you how much they dislike the country you come from is not appropriate from hotel staff is it. They won't make your beds or the clean room on Sundays, wifi was often overloaded, food greasy. Entertainment ok but not enough seats to sit down. They should certainly work harder to please the guests. Otherwise, there are other similar and better hotels for the price, including on other islands, like Gran Canaria, and the town village where this hotel is has little to offer. The beach is unfortunately not as nice as others in the islands and is quite small.

My daughter, four year old grandson and I have just arrived back after a 5 night stay at Hotel Tamaimo Tropical. We were both anxious about the negative reviews. However, we decided to make our own minds up and decided that our experience was different to the negative previous holiday makers. On arrival we were welcomed by the reception team and directed to our room. Our room was on the ground floor, overlooking the main pools, it was spotless, a good size and large towels were provided. There was a fridge provided and upon request, a kettle also. There was entertainment for all ages throughout the day, including yoga and Aqua dance. As our stay was short, we didn’t find it necessary to book the kids club however, the area looked bright, fun and welcoming. Meal times suited us, the food well presented and plentiful. There was a daily rotation of a section- I recommend the Asian noodles! We always had a good breakfast and didn’t use the lunchtime buffet. We went to the little shop (4/5 min walk) around the corner for water and sandwich bits so utilised the fridge that way. The snack bar always had something to offer inc. plenty of ice cream, nachos, chips etc. There were plenty of sun beds although if you wanted a comfy/newer one you needed to get up early (7/7:30am) and claim yours. The only negatives we found during our stay were: ⁃ The food temperatures were on the colder side (fully appreciate that’s what comes with buffets) ⁃ We booked one evening into the Italian and the food was lukewarm warm, minimal food options and I saw one cockroach crawling around the hot plates. ⁃ The evening children entertainment started at 20:15. This was a little late for our 4 year and therefore only went the once. Because of the late start/tired toddler, we didn’t get to experience the adult entertainment. ⁃ As we were back in the room relatively early, we found the general hotel was loud until 23:30/12am. For my daughter, who slept on the sofa bed, earplugs were a must! ⁃ The area was pretty, but not a lot to do. It’s on a steep hill, with few shops/restaurants scattered around. The transfers to and from the airport were fantastic and well organised. The staff were friendly and the TUI reps on site were helpful and happy to answer any questions. The hotel was clean, easy to navigate and comfortable. The hotel were also happy to provide a room to shower in before leaving and a room for our luggage as we had a late flight and needed to be out of the room at midday. We would give this hotel 3/5 stars!

Last day of our holiday and we’re sad to leave this place: lovely staff, great choice of food and drinks, plenty of sun loungers and spacious rooms! We have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would highly recommend this place for families. The daytime entertainment was fantastic for the children. The location of the hotel is close to shops and bars if you want to head out. It’s also got the most stunning, prehistoric views - absolutely breathtaking! Only small thing was that there’s only one bar open in the evening so bit slower service due to slight queuing. However, the 4 drink rule keeps things flowing - the hotel has thought of everything. I love the fact that there were diverse nationalities and everyone got on and smiled at everyone! All in all, a brilliant family holiday. Thank you to all the staff who worked tirelessly to make our holiday such a good one.

We really enjoyed our holiday here. As other reviews have stated, all staff really helpful and friendly, the whole hotel is clean, the pool areas were great with sun beds always available even when we wanted 3 in the afternoon. Bearing in mind this is a 3*, I wonder what people expect, we didn’t experience any queues for the restaurant, yes it was busy, always tables available though (this was still school holiday week 2nd-9th April), there was a great selection of food, a lot of it was the same most nights with a few variations each night and as with most buffet style restaurants, the food could have been slightly hotter but it was fine. We booked the Italian restaurant twice which we also enjoyed. We, and our daughter in particular, enjoyed the day time games with the brilliant entertainment team! The evening entertainment was also good, but there could be a short wait for drinks at the bar, but didn’t detract from our experience. The only couple of small negatives for us (we were all inclusive) the lack of ‘free’ ice lollies/ice creams during the day, even if they just provided for the children.. The orange juice at breakfast time was more like orange squash.. But overall it was a generally fun happy place and we really enjoyed our holiday here! Room 394

Lovely hotel was greeted with a lovely friendly girl at reception that spoke very good English! All reception staff , restaurant and cleaning crew were so friendly always had a smile for you ! Rooms were basic but comfortable and were cleaned everyday. Swimming pool lovely bar staff very friendly although we did have to que for drinks sometimes long ques. Day time entertainment was good but night time entertainment was very disappointing especially considering there is nothing really around the hotel so you rely on the entertainment so this was a big let down for us, Would recommend the route 66 bar although would of been nice to stay at hotel and enjoyed our all inclusive drinks . The Italian restaurant was lovely would definitely recommend to book to eat there free with all inclusive.

My child (6 years old) was attacked and beaten during the "Mini Disco" show. A drunk adult came onto the stage during the children's performance and started pulling and beating my child. It was today- April 8, 2024 at 8:20-8:30 p.m. The reception was informed, they stated that they had no security or cameras and could not help. The child has bruises on his body and is afraid to leave the room. The dream vacation turned out to be a nightmare. The hotel boasts the slogan "One Big Family", but it is probably a crime family.
