Please read if you are thinking about staying here: We have stayed here for 3 years in a row, So I do think I can say I can give an constructive and honest review about this hotel. The property is absolutely breathtaking it’s really beautiful, I guess you ended up reading the reviews because firstly it is very pricey but you saw the pictures so you think it’s might worth it, Well I’m going to tell you it’s unfortunately not, And I’m also sad to say it because this property has amazing potential but is just runned by the wrong management ( I’m not the only one complaining also when you read the reviews on google) We always thought ( previous years) that it had minor things that were just not up to standards, But because the property is so beautiful we forgot about them, But this year it was just one big nightmare.. The staff almost completely changed, You see they are not properly trained ( most of them don’t even greet you) the staff at the pool is one big joke, They have a button you can press for service but they just don’t come, There is no one to be found at the pool, You just have to wait until someone shows up, The window of our room was completely broken, We mentioned it twice to them as we thought it could be dangerous but no one even came back to us, The room was filled with insects ( i know it’s an old fortress inside of a nature reserve) but come on, I have had tons of ants ( see the photos), Caterpillars, And even a snail inside of the room.. The rooms smell so badly, It just doesn’t feel and look hygienic, They really could do a refurbishment, Also the shower was going from extremely hot to cold every time. Don’t even try the food at Seaclub, The view is again: spectacular but the food is sososo bad, Not even mentioning the staff, Really don’t go there!! When checking out I told them that I was really upset as a loyal client and that this year was just a very bad experience for us, But the lady just stared at me and was like “ oh ok”. They don’t care about there loyal customer, They just want cash and to have their rooms filled, They don’t care if you are not having a good time, It’s just one big money machine, Management is awful. We first went to Grand hotel Cap Vermell and it was just wonderfull, Really such a good and amazing hotel, Go here instead of spending your hard earned money to these people who just want to grab it and don’t care if you enjoyed the experience.

Was looking forward to a formidable stay given some enthusiasts comments and in view of the high prices. While the place is truly beautiful, the service was seriously bad. The ratio of waiters to guests at breakfast cannot guarantee a smooth experience, same has to be said for the pool area or the beach area. The waiters were nice but clearly not well trained. We had a very unpleasant experience with our guest who was asked to leave as he was not with us on the property…but just making a business call while we were at the restaurant….

My wife and I had the most AMAZING experience and stay at Cap Rocat. It is truly an Oasis in Majorca. We were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and Cap Rocat was truly, truly special. The hotel/location is absolutely stunning. There are beautiful views of the Mediterranean sea everywhere in the hotel. We stayed in a Sentinel suite and it was the most perfect room I have ever stayed in and we felt definitely worth the price. All the food we had was absolutely delicious. The Staff was extremely personable, friendly, and helpful and made my wife and I feel special throughout our stay. An extra benefit is that it's only a short 15-20 minute right from PMI airport. The only sad part of our trip is when we left! We truly can't wait to come back and visit Cap Rocat again. Thanks so much for the perfect stay

The Cap Rocat is a true wonder on an island with a very competitive field of five star hotels. Local ownership, a high ratio of staff to guests, a thoughtfully laid out property that manages to foster community and also splendid seclusion - the Cap Rocat exists in a class of it's own. Finding this place and staying at it is like coming across a treasure map and following it to the spot marked with an X. I stayed in one of the Cap Rocat suites. Brilliantly laid out, wonderful amenities, and three private outdoor terraces made this a wonderful private space in which to relax. I also experienced the Spa, the Sea Club restaurant, the pool and the private beach, and all of them were terrific. Special mention to Jan, who welcomed me, and Pedro at the beach club. There were many others who showed me great kindness, the staff is uniformly well trained and excited to show their guests top notch hospitality.

This hotel is insanely luxurious with exceptional service. The grounds are breathtaking and give you so much to explore. The indoor pool is a creative's dream and the infinity pool has dreamy view. The food is absolutely SUPERB. The daily breakfast sets your day up for success and the beach club menu is extensive and delicious. Highly recommend this property if you want to relax, unwind and disconnect for a few days.

A repurposed fort away from the hustle and bustle of Palma, with unobstructed views over the sea and coastline. It's really spectacular and worth a visit for a unique hotel experience. It is a mixed bag in some ways: the pool is small, the beach is mediocre. The spa pool is too cold and narrow to really enjoy, and there are little things throughout the property that suggest the place could use a bit more investment and renovation. A lot of the rooms don't have sea views due to them having to work with the existing structure of the fort (though they make up for it by having private cabanas above them with really nice views) , and the rooms that do overlook the sea (called "Sentinels", as they were old dug-outs where cannons were stationed), are quite unbelievably expensive (3x the price of regular rooms), which despite their amazing views and private pools are probably not worth the difference. The restaurant is very nice, but a bit over-formal for my liking. It's a shame there isn't a better dinner option up on the terrace for a more casual experience. An added plus is that there's a very nice piano which they allow guests to play if you're so inclined.

One of the best hotels in Mallorca! Beautiful setting, lovely food and world class staff! Never crowded even when the hotel is at full capacity. You can have breakfast delivered to your room or have it in the fortress courtyard. We had dinner at Sea Club four times and loved the variety of the menu. We will be back :-)

TDLR: Yes, stay here. Pros: Arranged for a car service from Palma; was picked up in a timely manner in a MB sedan. They emailed me ahead of time to tell me where to RDV with the service. Stayed in a Cap Rocat Suite, which was lovely. The room and bathroom are very spacious and well appointed. All the common areas are beautiful and impeccably designed. Both restaurants (Fortaleza and Sea Club) provide good service, 5* food and 5* views. Turndown service was nice - they left bedtime teas. Both the pool and beach have a great view and are peaceful and quiet. The food in the in-room breakfast was ok. Nothing to write home about but nothing offensive either. However, I liked having breakfast in the privacy and comforts of my terrace at a designated time of my choosing. 24/7 room service from a room service menu and from the Sea Club menu during their operating hours. I found everyone from the moment I arrived to the moment I left to be friendly, warm, and accommodating. 5* service. The complaints about poor service on Trip Advisor are laughable. Tip: If you want unobstructed ocean views (eg not of the Palma cove) book the suites that start with a 2. Go up to the private bed at night. The view is stunning and the the word “serene” doesn’t do the milieux justice. Also - email the concierge beforehand with all your wants and needs. They managed all my bookings and reservations for Palma and for the hotel facilities perfectly. Highly, highly recommend reserving everything in advance, particularly during peak season. Cons: The one thing that baffled me is the parasol situation. With zero cloud coverage, 35C weather, and little foliage, lounging areas (breakfast table, pool, beach) can get very hot and you can get very sunburned. The parasols are drilled into the ground and have no articulating arms. There are also no extra parasols. It definitely makes the design look clean and more elegant, but there is limited functionality. You are effectively working with a sun dial and have to move the table/chairs where you are sitting instead of the parasols to achieve sun coverage as the sun moves. The hotel should at have extra parasols on hand or switch out all the parasols for larger, articulated ones for guests who don’t appreciate skin cancer or premature aging. Another minor issue was my masseuse. I’ve never wanted a massage to actually end, so that was a first that I experienced here. 1/2 star off an otherwise 5 star review for these couple of issues. Not a con but something to know: The hotel is on a main waterway so if your room is too close to the water I could foresee you get excessive boat noise during the day (I did not have this issue). Also, if you have no experience traveling around the Mediterranean, you may find the beach and water access jarring. The coastline is indeed rocky and the (very deep) water access is via ladder. I’m sure this is particularly uncomfortable for those who are weak (or non) swimmers. That said, this type of water access is completely normal and something you will find across luxury hotels in the beaches of Spain, Italy, and France. I personally enjoy it and strongly associate the experience with Mediterranean summers.

Booked a last minute getaway and initially had a different property booked but switched to Cap Rocat after finding the hotel online -- so glad we did. One of those places you wonder if it can live up to the photos ... and it blew us away. The property is gorgeous, the staff is so friendly, and the spa is incredible. We did the Hamamm experience and we still are talking about it a month later. And the breakfast...just so thoughtful how they prepare a beautiful spread and bring it to your terrace in several picnic baskets so you can have a peaceful private breakfast -- top quality ingredients too. The resort is very intimate too, often we felt like the only guests there but it was fully booked and visitors from yachts anchored nearby were clearly coming to the seaside restaurant for dinner. Magical place. Highly recommend. Will be back.
