Detailed Reviews
My friend and I went to this Eco resort mid September of 2021 and could not have been happier with the experience. The location is stunning and the simple journey from shore to the island is relaxing and exotic.
On the island Robert, our contact at the resort, made our stay extremely comfortable, providing excellent food, prompt service and had rooms on the water prepared for my friend and I. In the morning we had breakfast prepared overlooking the lake and got to watch the mist burn off the water and the surrounding area come to life with birds and other animals.
I would highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a luxurious, unique experience on the lakes of Uganda. Absolutely fantastic.

+1
We ended up here for the night due to our accommodation falling through. What a blessing. This is heaven. We arrived by boat to a warm welcome. We walked up the drive and found Reception. In no time at all we were allocated a cosy cottage. So much to see and do. Birdlife galore resident herd of Cobb's, two zebras, three friendly donkeys, trails round the island, a swimming dock into clean lake Bunyoni. Good food and attentive staff members. The solo Blue monkey checks in at 6 for his banana.
We were all sad to leave and hope one day to return.

During our 7 day in tour of Uganda in May 2021 with East African Jungle Safaris, a one night stay in Bunyonyi Eco Resort was included in the tour.
We absolutely loved the hotel! We arrived by boat onto the island and were greeted by some ugandan donkeys and zebras. :-) The staff were very nice and accomodating. Our lodge overlooked Lake Bunyonyi and we had a spectacular view of the lake from our balcony. The three course dinner was delicious and at night one could even sit by a bonfire. Overall a great stay! We would recommend staying here a few nights to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. It really is paradise!

This place has a very serene view, very intimate and very conducive if you are looking for a place to relax with a great scenery. The animals at the resort make it look like a scene out of a Hollywood movie. The service was great, the waiters at the place are very friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.
The cottage are neat and built to create a very elegant experience that fits the environment. Not forgetting the breath taking view from the cottage. Great experience and would definitely go back again.

We stayed here as a family (2 adults and 4 kids) for 3 nights. The whole experience was excellent. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. We had two interconnected cabins which slept 5 plus a cot (which we provided) with an amazing view over the lake. We swam in the lake, walked around the island looking at the animals (even spotted some otters) and took a cruise around the lake to visit some other islands. The food was great - we paid for inclusive and just chose off the menu. They provided secure parking for our car on the mainland and free boat transfers to and from the island (life jackets provided).

Robert and the rest of the staff at Bunyonyi Eco Resort made our 2-night stay very relaxing. After 10 hectic days of safari and trekking we didn't realize how nice it was to have a break and relax (with some of the best wifi and electricity we had along the way). The staff went out of their way to give us a choice of vegetarian meals. Everyone loved feeding the blue monkey when it came around for bananas. The hike around the island is wonderful and a great opportunity to see the zebras, impalas and donkeys). Other islands are just a short boat ride away (including an adventure park with zipline and ropes course).

The resort is a unique place. Beautiful views of the surrounding Bunyonyi lake, very friendly service, delicious food and fast internet. The houses are charmingly situated, at a distance from each other, which gives a feeling of privacy. It's nice to sit on the terrace or in the evening by the fire that is lit for the guests. You can swim in the lake, explore the surrounding islands or visit the adventure park. Wonderful animals brought to the island: zebras, donkeys, impalas or Blue Monkey Chairman will diversify your stay. The amazing sounds and sight of different species of birds are unforgettable. Me and my Family had a great time there. I recommend it with all my heart.

Hi Laurel,
Our parking on the main land is very safe. We have the tourism police who take your of your property while you are at the island.
Hi
We thank you the questions
We do not have dogs on the island.
There is a difference between a standard and a deluxe. A deluxe had a 6X6 bed and is more spacious compared to the standard. The standard has a 5X6 bed.
The one way air port drop-off will cost you $ 250
