We were suprised checking that they tremendously raised their rates within the last two years, however, we decided to stay for one single night. Unfortunately, there was no water at all which we were told after checking in.. Additionally, (maybe not always the case) there was a huge party going on in the neighbourhood which made us staying awake the whole night. Food was okay, though. To be honest: guess there are bether options in this price category!

I like so much this place. The owner and her team was always so friendly like your family. They have private rooms and dorms, but I’m stayed in my tent (10 000) in the nice garden. Don’t forget the taste Bridget vegetable curry.

This is the best place to stay in the border town of Kabale. I checked out the much flashier White Horse Inn which was unfriendly and unwilling to accommodate my driver. There is also another, much less good hostel next door. From the very first, the staff at Backpackers couldn’t have been more smiley or accommodating. The rooms are fine and $10 (my cheapest stay in Uganda), there’s parking and the simple food is good. Thank you team, well done and good luck with your future plans!

Came across this place after a long bumpy drive from bwindi, immediately felt welcome and looked after. Friendly laid-back and professional staff sorted us out with a clean and fresh room, a cold beer , Wi-Fi and a delicious veggie curry cooked by their passionate chef - Humphrey. 10/10 Would recommend =) N, J from NZ
