The location and views are definitley worth a visit, but there would be quite some room for improvement. The open Geodomes are very cool and the view from bed/terrace is incredible, however, you should really lock up everything. We only once left our torch on the bed during breakfast and have never seen it again... as we dont know what...

Such a great place, the food was amazing and well-priced. The rooms were clean and had great beds. You could go to the island in motorboats which took 15 minutes and were 25,000 ush per boat or dugouts which took an hour but were 3,000 ush per person. There was a shower with hot water and a window to look out...

The place is something special, particularly the accomodation in the geo dome...we enjoyed it a great deal but be aware, shower and bathroom are outside and at night the spiders come out (so a bit overpriced for what it is). THe best part about it was the food! Try the flying dodo, the crayfish in Avocado and the pancakes...yumm!

I loved the technical achievements like warm shower to order in advance, beautiful views, compost toilet and many others :) The food was also very tasty, specialy crayfish in avocado - even I am not a friend of fish or lobsters...

This is a very peaceful and relaxing place located on one of the islands on Lake Bunyonyi. We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The hostel offers a free dugout paddle canoe ride from the mainland. It's fun and adventurous, but know that it takes an hour to get to the island. You can also go...

We stayed 3 nights at Byoona Amagara, and it was perfect! We loved the food, the view over the lake bunyonyi was stunning and the staff was very helpful! The geodome was extremly beautiful and everything was reasonably priced! We recommend this spot to everyone!

One of the coolest places I have been. Everything is very well thought out. I stayed in an upgraded geodome which was amazing. Close to the main canteen, but still very quiet and private. Beds were comfortable. They have free phone charging and pay everything else charging in the office and library. Internet is available via dongle for rent. MTN...

We stayed in a deluxe geo dome for one night at Lake Bunyonyi. For a city dweller, this was quite an awesome experience. The room itself was all you could ask for - being basically outdoors for the night. The bathrooms were outside and down a flight of stairs. I loved it! I would definitely say you should try it...

Stayed here for two nights and it was a beautiful and relaxing place to be. Stayed in a geodome (would have gone for deluxe but they weren't available). Amazing to lie in bed and look out at the view and listen to the birds. I really recommend spending some time exploring the island. My partner and I got up at...

Stayed there for 3 nights, the location and the scenery are incredible! Only disappointing point is the restaurant. The food is quite expensive and you can't get any other food on the island. Also, the food portions are not that big and you might stay hungry after some of they serve.

Hello Daniel, Thanks for your feedback here and we're happy you enjoyed your stay with us. However, we respectfully disagree with your assessment of our food... our meals are by far the least expensive available anywhere at Lake Bunyonyi - and even for most of Uganda, in tourist locations. (Only in local villages or markets can you eat for less,...
