Myself and my partner stayed at Arcadia Cottages on lake Bunyonyi for 2nts. From start to finish the experience was just great. We were treated by Macklin at reception who helped carry our bags to a wonderful, spacious and well decorated cabin with a stunning view of the lake. We arrived kind of late in the day so we chilled in our room until dinner. The dining room is currently in a permanent marquee near to reception while the new bar and dining room are under construction. It was kind of chilly in there and as we were the only guests, a bit eerie, but it was fine and the food a great standard. The next day Macklin escorted us on foot down to the lake and organised a great boat trip with 'pineapple'. The tour was much more interesting than I thought it would be and our guide was good fun. We ate lunch at Birds Nest (highly recommend) and headed back to our room at Arcadia. These rooms are some of the best we've experienced in Uganda so far. Tastefully decorated, huge comfy beds, big bath and even a living room area. We checked out in the morning and encountered some car problems; we called back to Arcadia and Macklin spoke to one the manager and they immediately arranged a mechanic for us. The manager even came down to check on our progress and make sure everything was ok. I really can't recommend arcadia cottages highly enough. The only thing that I can say that is a vague negative is, I wasn't much f, or the breakfasts, there is no breakfast menu as such, just a list of standard items, but ordering them was difficult and unclear, then the breakfast wasnt really hot and a bit lacklustre, but such a small niggle really in the grand scheme of the experience. If you're thinking of coming to Bunyonyi, a stay with Arcadia is highly recommended. Thanks so much for such warm hospitality. 🖤🖤

After a busy holiday, this was a lovely place to go to to relax. Lovely accommodation, views and good food. Also very impressive showers too! My only complaint would be the heater was broken but apart from that it was perfect.

The property itself is stunning. The views of the lake are amazing from the cottages, restaurant and grounds. The grounds are well-manicured and the reception area is very pretty upon arrival. Wifi is available in the restaurant/bar area only but is fairly slow. Rooms are clean and bathrooms are modern with plenty of hot water. During out stay there was also a "rave" even scheduled to be held at the restaurant which we were assured at check-in would be done by 11pm. However the unbelievably loud music, booming base and loud intoxicated guests was totally out of control until atleast 2am. Around 11:30pm a group of men started trying to break into our cottage through the door that connected our cottage to the one next door. We were yelling at them to stop (me and my female travel partner) however they continued to bang on the door and rattle the handle for nearly 45 minutes while clearly throwing some sort of party with around 10 people. We called management, the front desk and security over and over and over - no one would answer. I left multiple messages that our safety was being compromised and we needed someone to respond right away and no one did and no one every called us back. It was absolutely terrifying. At dinner that same night we were charged for desserts that we asked for over 4 times from 2 different wait staff however never received. We also ordered extra water multiple times and couldn't get that either. We spoke at length with the manager the next morning to address the issue of paying for food we never received, dangers to our safety and almost a complete lack of sleep and nothing came of it. He assured us he would email us and never did. We didn't have our room comped, no discount on our rate, no offer to comp our meal - nothing. The property was so stunning it would have been one of the highlights of the trip had it not been for the very poor service and significant risk to our personal safety. I've traveled internationally for many years and it was by far the most terrifying thing I have experienced to date.

We visited here recently and were blown away by the view. Absolutely stunning, this is a must visit. Staff were really friendly and arranged seats on the decking. I would certainly visit again when back in Kabale

We stayed here for one night but we wished we had stayed longer. The view is mesmerizing, the services and the rooms are great and we couldn’t ask for anything more. The manager is very nice and fun to talk to, he makes you feel like home.
