We decided to treat ourselves for new Year's Eve this year. We were travelling back to the UK form a family Christmas and the Chateau de Beaulieu was near the eurotunnel so a good place to stop.We booked a little late in November and were told that there was only one room available in super deluxe (and therefore very expensive)....

We have visited so many times (?20) and it is always impeccable. Rooms are comfortable if not luxurious but the welcome and the service excellent. The food is fantastic. Always some new nuance and delicious. Why only two rosettes? We have eaten at much worse three rosette establishments. Value for money is very good- even after Brexit! Cannot wait for...

Like others who have reviewed this hotel we found the standard of the front of house did not match that of the restaurant. On arrival we were told that our room would not be ready until 4pm and that we should wait in the lounge until our room was ready and we would be fetched. We were forgotten. Similarly no...

This hotel is extremely well kept and looks like it has ben modernised recently giving a nice fresh feel. The rooms are well furnished, although we had fairly limited hanging space for our clothes. Staff were attentive and courteous and the two restaurants are EXCELLENT!

We stayed here on the way down to Provence, actually on my husband's 80th birthday and reserved a table for dinner in the Restaurant for that special occasion. The meal was fabulous, but it was also so very, very expensive, BUT, although the birthday had been noted when I booked, there was not even the tiniest, smallest candle offered, after...

Great location. Nice hotel good food but poor service. This hotel is expensive and service on both occasions when we stopped was just not up to scratch. We ate in the posh restaurant and also in the brasserie. The staff in the posh restaurant were good but in the brasserie the service was pretty awful. With the wifi you have...

Stayed here for our last night of our Iberian road trip before getting ' le shuttle ' in Calais the next morning. Impressive building and fabulous setting. The standard of service from start to finish was all that you would expect in a five star Château. We were greeted with a warm welcome at reception on arrival and shown to...

Stayed for one night. The property looks very impressive. Dinner in the brasserie (Jardin D'Alice) was tasty and reasonable valuable. However, cleanliness of our room was disappointing. Bathroom had used tissue on the floor between the sink and the bath and the bath tub had several long hairs still in it. It had not been clean properly or with any...

Superb cuisine in Le Meurin...Beautiful, modern rooms (we stayed in a Chambre Grand Luxe)...very friendly staff...pleasant hotel grounds. In spite of the distance it is more than worthwhile to stay at the Château de Baulieu when visiting Lille or the Louvre Lens Museum (where Marc Meurin has another good restaurant), the battle fields of Arras and even the Somme.

Nice location but expensive for what you get. Decent room but no fitness and no swimming pool. Nothing to in the area. We stayed for one night and had dinner in Jardin d'Alice wich was lovely and reasonably priced. Breakfast was not included and was outrageously expensive, 20Euro for bread , pastries and fruit (no eggs, cheese or meat) Hotel is...
