Brilliant hotel, ignore all the bad reviews! Just came back from a week there. The reception staff were friendly and always booked us taxis despite reviews saying they wouldn't.
Pool and DJs are great, lovely atmosphere in the day. Drinks reasonably priced (especially delicious sangria and rose to share amongst friends).
Rooms are perfect, sea view is beautiful. Well equipped, clean, spacious, great aircon, comfy beds. Only downside is one pillow per person so I put a towel under mine. If you get a pool view it is likely to be noisier by midday if you want to lie in. The bar/hotel opposite is loud until about midnight but we booked this as a party hotel so expected to have late nights/have noisy corridors. It can be noisy with people coming in/going out late and early so expect this, earplugs helped!
Rooms cleaned daily if you want them to be, fresh towels. Can cook if you want to but we ate out. Johnny's bar (burgers) at top of road is lovely, there's an irish bar and other restaurants along the road too but we didn't go to those.
Breakfast buffet is great and so generous, you get charcuterie/baguettes, fresh fruit and can order eggs/beans/sausages etc too, really good value. Is served until 12pm which was great when hungover, we actually missed it one day as didn't get in until 7am!
Can always get sunbeds but we did go last week of Sept (think people are hungover/in bed until late)!
Easy to get cabs to/from San An and to the big clubs, expect to pay about 30-40 euros each way to go over to the Old Town/clubs on other side of the island.
Overall we loved this hotel and would definitely stay again!

The pool area really makes this hotel - the atmosphere was great; fun and chilled. The food and cocktails were amazing and reasonably priced, and the sangria was a particularly good price. All of the staff at the pool/bar/restaurant were really friendly, especially Ruth who was lovely to chat to and gave us a great food recommendation (masala carrots!).
The hotel has been done up really nicely throughout although the rooms themselves are very basic. We had a one bedroom apartment for three people and it was fine. We had a sea view although I would say it was more partial sea view!
The airport is just over ā¬30 in a taxi. San Antonio is around ā¬8 in a taxi or a 40 min walk.
The hotel is really conveniently located for the water taxi to San Antonio which is ā¬4pp each way.
There was a decent hairdryer in the room and pool towels and irons could be hired from reception.
Would definitely return purely for the day times at the pool!

This hotel is practically beach front. Itās within walking distance of the ferry to San Antonio which costs 5 euro one way and takes 10-15 minutes. Free parking is available at the bottom of the road, ask reception as you have to park on the correct side of the signs. The hotel is clean, rooms comfortable, lovely pool with DJ, pool towels available, shops, bars and restaurants only a very short walk. Would recommend.

When Senator bought the hotel they inherited a loyal customer base and have absolutely ruined it. Iāve stayed at the Beach Star 6/7 times and have always loved it but itās just been run into the ground. Check in was a nightmare, the systems at reception went down so we couldnāt check in at all which of course isnāt the fault of the staff but they were so so utterly unhelpful. Hours later we finally got into the room to be told none of the key cards in the hotel were working. The rooms require some maintaining, the bathroom was filthy and tiles all dirty the balcony was all flaking and chipped away, in fact the whole hotel needs some love. You can tell theyāre not looking after it, the pool tiles where the steps are, are all grubby and mouldy, the whole place needs a refresh. Customer service around the pool area literally doesnāt exist, the staff donāt seem to know whatās going on. They kept charging us different amounts for the same items. I was overcharged twice during my stay and even though the pool bar is rarely busy they are so so slow, getting a drink takes about 10 minutes as they are all chatting to each other and moving at the pace of a snail. A guy took payment from me and then came back 5 minutes later to take payment again as had forgot, as an isolated incident thatās funny but itās a reflection of the staff as a whole. The hotel now charges 5 euros a day to use the safe in the room which is ridiculous- Iāve never heard of such a thing (there never used to be a charge) and even though we had a hellish check in they tried to charge us when we checked out a bit later than 11am!! Getting taxis is always difficult in Ibiza but the receptionist with the long dark hair who was usually there in the evenings is just so rude and unhelpful that we walked along to another hotel to order a cab and got one fine. Honestly the staff act like they donāt want you there. The rooms were ācleanedā daily but the beds werenāt changed in 5 days. On the first day I smashed my perfume bottle and when we checked out there was still glass on the floor even though I had made them aware. The food used to be so good here but now itās just strange, if you order the same thing it comes up with different components every time. I ordered the seafood spaghetti and got one prawn and a few mussels with it. It feels like all the love and care has gone, which I guess is what happens when a big company purchases a previously privately owned hotel. For the money, there are now far better places to stay on the island. A real shame

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We are glad to hear that you have enjoyed your previous stays at our hotel and appreciate your loyalty. However, we are truly sorry to learn about the issues you experienced during your recent visit. We understand that the check-in process was not smooth due to our system being down, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Our team should have been more helpful in this situation, and we will address this matter internally. We are concerned to hear about the cleanliness and maintenance issues you mentioned. We strive to maintain a high standard of cleanliness. We will take your feedback into account and work on improving these aspects. Regarding the service at the pool area, we apologize for any inconsistencies and delays you experienced. We will address this with our staff to ensure better service in the future. We will review our food offerings, although this issue, if I may say so, is subject to the taste of each guest. We will also certainly contact our receptionists to clarify your feedback in order to improve our customer service. We hope you will consider staying with us again in the future. This hotel pool area has fantastic food, nice waiters and waitresses, a clean pool & downstairs area is fab for photos!
The rooms are nice but basic.
The rooms were ok the beds are not comfortable, I was cold one evening and felt unwell. There was no menu to know which number to call reception on the phone so I called from my mobile and asked for a blanket and was met by a receptionist who said I couldnāt have an extra blanket unless I came to reception, then when I explained I was unwell he said we donāt have any blankets & hung up!
The floors in our room where not swept and felt Sandy, I politely asked the cleaner if she could sweep the floors and she muttered something under her breath which I didnāt understand.
This is my 18th time to Ibiza & I have stayed in many hotels, at ā¬175 per night I think the in-house staff need some customer service training especially the receptionist who doesnāt smile at all. I almost felt like I was unwelcome or if it was because of my nationality, that I was receiving a rude attitude.

Travelled to Ibiza with my boyfriend July 2021. Hotel is decorated nicely, very clean, good vibe around the pool with DJ playing.
We reserved a partial beach view double room, air con good, daily room clean and fresh towels etc. We were given a room directly outside of the elevator area which was very loud in the early hours of the morning with people returning from bars etc. Having been to Ibiza many times prior I know what to expect with large groups and noise but the location of this room was less than ideal. In the mornings we were woken by the cleaning team talking and banging around, as their supply room was directly next door to our room. There was also a strange whistle from the draft coming from under the front door, we had to place a towel there each night to prevent this.
After asking the reception team if it would be possible to move room I was told I cannot change the "room type" (even to downgrade the level of room) and all double sea view rooms were fully booked.
I would recommend the hotel for a day time visit but I have stayed in better standard and better situated hotels in Ibiza for the price we paid to stay here and I feel management could have done more to accommodate our request to move room.

I genuinely only use trip advisor to write bad reviews when a hotel/restaurant has ruined my day or week, however I have to spread a bit of positivity for the beach star. 6 of us stayed for 10 days at beach star and we were gutted to be leaving.
Staff are excellent and arenāt afraid to have a bit of fun also. Special shout-out to Ruth who kept me sane in the mornings.
Food really is good and so reasonable, same with drinks. Really wonāt find cheaper food/drink in Ibiza esp when one meal kinda does you for the day!
Rooms are very clean, shower is great and aircon is very good. Hotel are pretty reasonable when it comes to noise etc we never had any real issues as long as you donāt take the piss.
Location is a 10 min water taxi away from san ant, but we just got taxis to any of the clubs we wanted to go to.
Pool area can be a little busy so might struggle to get a lounger but thatās because the music/drinks round the pool are unreal. DJ from 1-7 everyday really does make a difference and the music is exactly what you want for Ibiza.
Iāll be back to Ibiza next year for a shorter stay I imagine, and unfortunately the beach star wonāt be there next year. Luckily however, the hotel has another building - the Palm star in san ant bay so I will definitely be staying there!
Defs consider here if youāre booking Ibiza I would recommend for all age groups!

I write this review based on my experience of being in Ibiza 8 times already in the past 4/5 years.
I have stayed at a range of hotels across San Antonio and without a shadow of a doubt this hotel is hands down the best one yet. Note that the brand is moving to a new location called Palm Star Ibiza which looks to be an even better location but will have the same staff and prices.
Firstly, the staff at this hotel are the best in the business when it comes to customer service. Iāve never felt more welcomed and taken care of! From the receptionist to the bar staff and particularly the waitresses, there was not one thing I could fault with any of them.
The rooms provided sufficient space for the people in our group and had everything we needed. Quick, easy access to all rooms were a bonus too to avoid any time being wasted from trooping back and forth.
As for the price of our booking it was more than worth the money and definitely good value for what youāre paying for. Even the drinks and food at the hotel were reasonably priced!
I could write here all day as I feel I owe the hotel a favour for the fantastic experience and in particular the staff that work there. They deserve a particular mention as Iāve found at other hotels that the staff are just rude and not interested in customer satisfaction whatsoever.

We stayed here as a group of 3 girls and were so impressed by the hotel, pool facilities, food and staff.
The rooms are basic but super clean and have everything you need (including a good hairdryer, which is rare in hotels!) The little kitchenette with fridge is very handy for pre-drinks. Towels and bedding were changed daily. Aircon was really good and easy to control.
The pool area is just great. Really well designed with cute little touches and plenty of space to lounge or stand in the pool with drinks. There were always sun beds available and a variety of types too if you want more shade or prefer full sun. The music was always excellent. Everyone at the hotel is also super friendly and the pool area is great for meeting and chatting to other guests.
Ruth and the rest of the hospitality/food/bar team were brilliant. Food was top quality (great breakfasts) and good value for money. Drinks a little pricey but very tasty and great service.
The only downside to the hotel was trying to get a taxi. Not sure if this is just an issue on this side of San Antonio bay or throughout Ibiza but it was a total pain. One evening we waited two hours for a taxi and in the end we jumped in a pre-booked mini bus with some other girls that had space. This wasnāt a one off, every time we tried to get a taxi there was a long wait and we even chatted to people whoās taxis to the airport didnāt arrive on time. Because of the location, you have to get a taxi to basically everywhere (water taxi to San Antonio is good but only runs until 10pm) and sitting around waiting for taxis really killed our buzz a few times, it also made us late to pre-booked things (like a boat tour) despite giving plenty of time in case the taxi was late, it still managed to be even later! Fabio, on reception, was so helpful calling other companies etc for us but he said itās an ongoing issue on the island, especially between 6pm and 9pm. For this reason I probably wouldnāt stay here again as the location is a bit far out of the action and taxis werenāt efficient. However, I canāt fault the hotel itself and their team are fantastic too. If you arenāt going into Ibiza Town and staying around San Antonio, this hotel would be great.

After checking into the Beach Star Hotel, my friend and I found that our room was dirty, appliances were broken, and the railings of the balcony were falling apart. We were at the hotel for a total of 2 hours before checking out of the hotel, and the disrespect and rudeness of the two women working at the front desk was unacceptable. After showing them images of our room and explains that the hotel was completely false advertisement (as the hotel clearly does not want to show the surroundings), they asked us to contact Booking.com where we booked through. We called Booking.com who was incredibly helpful however the Beach Star Hotel itself rejected the full refund and free cancellation fee. They should be embarrassed and we were not the only guests who left early as well. The two women at the front desk had an unnecessary attitude and were completely unhelpful in helping accommodate my friend and I.
