Myself and my partner booked a last minute trip and found this Finca on bookingdotcom. Wow Wow Wow If you want peace and tranquillity this is the place to be, the pool is large and very clean, and the breakfast whilst continental it’s the best I’ve ever had. Alberto and Maria are the perfect hosts and can’t do enough for you. If you want to tour the island you’ll need a car, however we decided to take a taxi there and back. The local village is a 15/20 min walk away with a small supermarket where we stocked up for the four days, eating outside our room watching the goats and chickens. All in all if your a couple, single or a family and want peace and quite this gets a 10/10 in fact the whole stay was a 10/10 Chris
Originally booked to stay here for 6 nights, with accommodations in different parts of the island to follow. In the end we stayed 10 of our 14 nights in Mallorca. About 9-10 rooms for rent in a 250-year old restored farmhouse which the owners have had since 1999. Quiet and secluded, but easy access to MA-6015 which takes you north to Llucmajor or south to the bottom of the island. Delicious breakfasts included each morning and I think that if COVID-19 did not make things difficult, you could also expect evening meals or BBQ on occasion.
Day 4, the final night of our Mallorcan tour. This Finca was a delight and a true find. Set away from the hustle and bustle of anywhere, this was a quiet but beautiful retreat. We were given a lift to Llucmajor by Alberto and enjoyed an awesome Maundy Thursday experience in the town...highly recommended. The pool was lovely and it was great to be in the countryside. Not for party animals!
Nice finca with huge pool. Typical spanish breakfast which was quite good on the terrace. Big room. Friendly owners. If I go back to Mallorca, I would choose another Finca because somehow I missed personality or originality...
I "discovered" Son Guardiola 14 years ago, I have stayed there several times and it is always a pleasure to return. A completely different atmosphere, away from the crowds on the beach. Maria and Alberto are the perfect hosts, and they speak good English, German and I think some French (to be confirmed). A very nice and local breakfast is offered, usually at the terrace. Sometimes Maria decides to prepare dinner, but one has to commit in the morning, the reason being food is prepared ad-hoc, with local recipes and fresh ingredients from the market.I hope you have the priviledge to enjoy her wonderful dinner at least once (she does not cook daily). Located in the middle of the fields, often with bad cell phone signal (but good internet service) the silence and peace is so much appreciated! The swimming pool is very nice and clean. Please note that you will need to rent a car to move around the island, as there is "nothing" close by (restaurants and so), unless you plan to stay full day in the house in a sort of "retreat" (which I have done too...! However in that case stock yourself with groceries, as in principle only breakfast is provided). I can't think of anything not pleasant at Son Guardiola. I fully recommend it, singles, couples or families with kids!…
