My husband and I have just returned from a short 3-night trip to this hotel and look forward to returning again soon. The hotel is very rural so you definitely need a car to be able to get out and about. It is also very quiet, so if you're looking for a lively resort with entertainment then this isn't the place for you. This is exactly the reason we liked the place so much - lots of peace and quiet to really relax! The staff at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. It seemed to be catered more for Spanish and German guests, which is normal in many parts of Mallorca but we had no problems communicating with staff. Rooms very very clean and comfortable. We had access to everything we needed. We didn't use the pools, but there were three well maintained pools. One of the pools was undercover. Plenty of sunbeds were available around the pool. Breakfast was fine and plenty of it. There were some cooked items each day and a selection of breads, cheeses, meats, pastries etc. We didn't eat at the hotel for our evening meal. There is only one dinner option each day, which is displayed on a board in the breakfast room. Unfortunately the options weren't to our taste, so we decided to eat elsewhere before coming back to the hotel in the evening. I would say this is the one limitation to the hotel; there are not any other bars / restaurants nearby so you have to travel or eat before coming back for the day. This wasn't an issue for us, but could see it being inconvenient for others so definitely something to be aware of if you are considering this hotel. You can walk through the vineyards to the Bodegas Vi Rei winery, which is less than a 10 minute walk. We enjoyed doing this and picking up a bottle of wine to enjoy on our balcony. Hotel guests get 10% off in the shop. The winery offer tours and tasting, which is definitely worth trying. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will look to stay here again. My tip to others would be to check out the location before booking - if you are looking for somewhere quiet and out of the way then this hotel would be perfect for you.

We went on the above tour with Tui at the beginning of September. When we booked we were advised that our hotel would be allocated on arrival, but they guaranteed at least 3* accommodation. Even though I tried to find out the hotel we were supposed to be staying in several times from Tui's office in England, they were unable to tell me. On arrival at Palma Airport a taxi took us to the Sa Bassa Plana (the taxi driver did not seem to know where he was going as he missed the hotel and had to back track to find the entrance. We can only praise this tour (apparently we were the first group to take the tour) our guide was fantastic (Sara), and we were taken to some lovely places on Majorca. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about this hotel, which caters mostly for Germans who seemed to have rented cars, as this was a gated hotel with a drive of at least 2 miles, the breakfasts were pretty much the same every day, only difference was one day we got fried eggs the next scrambled, bacon or sausage, these were adequate. However when it came to dinner time, there was no choice at all. My husband cannot eat potatoes and on the first evening we were given 5 meatballs with a mass of boiled potatoes in the middle, it came to a head one day when looking at the notice for dinner, which was in German, my husband looked up on his ipad and found it to be rabbit stew with onion (yuck). Luckily we were out every day on the tour, so we had really good lunches, which kept us going until breakfast time. Most days we could barely eat the food as it was not what we had expected. My husband and I have been going abroad since 1977 so are experienced travellers, and part of the holiday is nice food, which unfortunately this was not. I wrote to Tui on the 21st September, (and as at todays date the 24th October have not received any reply from them) advising them that if they were going to push this tour for English people they should really find a better hotel, with more choice of evening meals. We realised that this hotel did not have any star rating as we were not asked to pay the tourist tax. Tui should think again about where they are putting travellers on such tours, as all the people on our particular tour were aged from 74 to 65 and experienced travellers. .

Our long weekend here lived up to our expectations 100 percent. We wanted to totally disconnect and here we found the perfect place to do so. 40 mins from the city this rural hotel has a good breakfast, 3 swimming pools, all day bar and friendly staff. We stayed half board and the evening meal was home cooked and delicious. It’s set in a vineyard and there’s wildlife all around. The best part for us was the silence, peace and quiet. Bring a good book or two and a deck of playing cards. Wish we could come every weekend.

We booked this finca through a travel agency. Location is remote and rural. Descriptions on the website were not accurate. We had a rough time searching for it. For those looking for a relaxing vacation, thus may be the thing. Breakfast is buffet style. Unfortunately not much variation. Always the same type of melon every morning. Eggs alternate between sunny-side-up and scrambled. Same type of bread/buns. Dinner is a set course. No choice unfortunately. A meal plan is hung in the morning and one could inform the staff if there's something on the plan that one doesn't eat. I did just that. Guess what I got as an alternative for dinner? Beaten eggs. I ate that two out of 6 nights in the week that I was there. Be alert too, that even though it's announced that dinner starts at 7pm, one actually gets served food shortly before 8pm. Staff (1 lady) starts effectively setting table at 7pm. I wouldn't choose such a finca in future. I would choose a hotel offering a wider variety of food. And somewhere that we can go out in the evening easily. Llucmajor is out of no where. After dinner we always stayed in because it didn't seem worth it to proceed anywhere anymore after the Kate dinner.

We spent one week here. It's a nice and quiet finca but they need to invest in the family apartments. The apartment has one bedroom and a living room with a sofa and a kitchenette, so are not 2 separate bedrooms and a living room with kitchenette as we thought, this was disappointing because they've let you know from the pictures otherwise, even though we've sent them several emails and asked about it and other info before we went, didn't got any reply. The bedroom and the living room are separated by some sort of door shutters, not even a wall, ther's a gap between this door and the ceiling. There aren't 2 double beds as we understood from the pictures, there is just one double bed and one shaggy sofa. The bathroom really needs improvement too. The hairdryer is sooo old and you can basically dry your hair outside in the sun and it's still faster than the hairdryer. It's useless. The kitchenette it's fully equipped with kitchenware, dishes and a small fridge. Even though the conditions weren't as expected, the personnel was nice and friendly, helped us with everything they could. The finca was really clean and taken care of, pools were cleaned too. A full buffet breakfast included. You can dine there also (17 euro for 3 courses/person) but needed to tell them in the previous morning. For dinner it's a la carte menu, so you don't have from where to choose. They have a huge vineyard with sweet grapes. You can visit it in an organised tour. The vegetation from the finca it's nice too: figs, pomegranates, oranges, palm trees, huge ficuses, lemons and cactus.I helped myself with some figs and were delicious. Also have a yard with dears which was cool too. Definitely a car is needed because it's far from the beach, aprox 5km and far from any city or market.
