We bought this hotel from Gulliver xpedictions - which has very nice reviews and I believe is good agency. We, altough found better prices for similar services elsewere... I stayed in Papagayo on my last days in Ecuador. It was really calming, it's a place on the countryside near Quito. The staff there was really welcoming and help me with my needs. I was supposed to stay on the room on the last floor. I actually stayed there for a couple of hours but when i went to...

having traveled extensively in south america, this place is a real gem. the staff is attentive, the food delicious with large portions, the rooms cozy. showers were warm, water was safe to drink. our guide on cotopaxi was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, and we were the only team to summit the day we attempted, which i credit entirely to him.

Stayed in the (cramped but cheap) dorms with a friend for 6 nights while we did acclimatising hikes, leading up to Cotopaxi. Everything was very easily organised with Gulliver through the helpful Papagayo staff. A lot of close attractions to see on rest days, just ask the front desk! Cotobikes, a day trip to Cotopaxi with a brief hike, lunch,...

Hosteria is in beautful gardens not far from Cotapaxi. Rooms were spacious, well appointed and comfortable. The restaurant provided delicious and well-priced meals. The staff member we dealt with seemed to be very stressed out and had a slight attitude which made us feel uncomfortable and was the only thing which detracted from our stay. We spent one day horse-riding...

I must say, this place is spectacular! Its a little tricky to get there if you are driving a small car due to it being in the Ecuadorian highlands. Being only 45 minutes approximately from the city of Quito, its enough distance to forget about the busy city and unfold yourself to nature and relaxation. To be honest its a...
