Alua Village Fuerteventura garners mixed reactions, with many guests complimenting the staff's friendliness and the hotel's varied entertainment options. However, some visitors express dissatisfaction with the value, pointing out unexpected charges and inconsistent pricing. While cleanliness receives both praise and critique, the hotel's remote location with picturesque views is noted, though the challenging beach access and room conditions are areas of concern. The atmosphere is lively, yet may not cater to all linguistic preferences.

So good and bad...overall the "average" opinions are very honest.
The location is very beautiful, with a view of the beach below which is magnificent and of the black mountains typical of the island.
The club is beautiful overall: 3 beautiful swimming pools, large, but be careful not heated! (The ocean was more welcoming in temperature...). There is a shortage of deckchairs compared to the number of customers and they are crowded early in the morning. The staff are charming, and Franck, the TUI advisor, is adorable and gives good advice.
There are small shops in the hotel with reasonable prices to find lots of little things, useful or for pleasure.
24 hour reception, taxis in front of the hotel in a few minutes which take you to the neighboring town for less than €10.
The entertainment is mediocre, but hey I wasn't expecting anything... My daughter took advantage of the mini club a few times and had a great time.
The rooms are comfortable (good bedding), but no storage apart from an open wardrobe. Large terrace, but view on a wall. Big downside in rooms 6..., they are very very noisy because under the banks of the swimming pool and the noise of the deckchairs above being dragged on the ground, it's infernal: bring earplugs! Finally a box of tissues would be a plus.
Access to the beach is via a fairly steep path, on the side of a ravine; you must be careful and be in good physical condition.
The beach is huge, golden sand, turquoise waters, but be careful: it's the ocean, there are sometimes severe waves, and a lot of current... little or no supervision, so be careful. Parasols and deckchairs for a fee and a nice little hut-type restaurant.
In the paths leading to the rooms, very beautiful vegetation!
I come to the big black point: the restoration! This comment is redundant but it's true that I have never experienced such average food in a club, for this price: very fatty dishes, dry meat and fish, overcooked or undercooked. Recycled and often lukewarm side dishes and hot or cold drinks cut with water. Foul wines. The desserts are really not appealing, like flans, jelly, Romainville-style cakes, and donuts, which is a feat for fried food! Not enough staff, so very quickly, empty dishes, no more dishes... Very dry breakfast too, really not up to standard... I had a stomach ache more than once. Finally, the interior room is very noisy, and the terrace, quieter, is too small. It's a shame because the hotel, despite countless identical comments, obviously hasn't changed anything...
As for the all-in, of course, the drinks are unlimited, but the cocktails drown in ice cubes and very sweet syrups, and we look for alcohol... The snack is only the recycling of meals... Again once, not at the level of the advertised standard.
Well, it's true, the island is very windy, to the point sometimes that the deckchairs move on their own, but that's the local climate, you have to know that...
Overall we had a pleasant stay, but the value for money was not there.

Very nice complex offering 1 floor buildings arranged in espalier: it is very far from the bars of buildings and it is good. The rooms are very clean , if you want to be difficult you can just point out details about the finishes (paint a little flaked in places e.g.) . The rooms are very quiet we were never embarrassed with the noises of the neighboring rooms. We had a superior room with sea view , flat considering the layout of the buildings we see first the solar panels of the building facing yours then the sea: the extra cost seems a little excessive to me not to have a direct view of the sea. All the staff we met are nice and helpful. The buffet restaurant of the inclusive evil offers themed days which brings variety to an already very complete buffet.
The outdoor pool (very well maintained) is not heated and with the wind the water is therefore very cool.
No difficulty parking the rental vehicle because there is parking right in front of the Pension.
Will I return to this Inn if I come back to fuerteventura: I think so because I kept a very good memory.

In general we had a nice experience here. The pros outweighed the negatives which is what you want at the end of the day. It is definitely a 4* hotel. I'd give 3.5* for our overall experience though- we stayed here for half our stay and wouldn't want to stay for a whole week because of the area and location of rooms issue.

Pros

Nice looking fresh modern hotel.

My favourite club is a must- access to separate seating area inside and outside with unlimited drinks and some light snacks. I didn't even realise we booked it so it was a nice surprise. Very sophisticated. Was very very impressed with this! All hotels should have this it was fantastic.

Lovely spacious room with comfy bed and pillows really nice sleep. The terrace is a good size private and nice sea view. Extra touches the tea is of good quality here and you are provided with a dressing gown and slippers in the room.

Okay

Food was okay. Nothing special nothing terrible. Would be nice if the food wasn't so far away from the seating feel like you have to walk miles to get to the hot plates from the tables.

Cons

Location of rooms- the pool is clearly the main attraction here and they've centered everything around it so much so you literally have to walk THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE POOLS just to get to your room, or anywhere in fact. As you can imagine this is annoying. The pool is very very busy all day. If you're not a pool person (we aren't)this would be annoying if you were staying for a week or so ( it was annoying even for a few days). The rooms are just too far to get to. Not good if you need to go back and forth to reception or have mobility issues.

The lift and ramp placement is too far to get to your room if you are my favourite club and again have to walk miles right through the middle of the pool with all your luggage which makes no sense.

The area is okay I feel like morro jabble is a better area (about 10 mins drive) and drove there instead and the beach here is a walk up a steep hill so if you have mobility issues avoid this resort. Playa de jandia is a better beach.

So to kick things off the hotel is stunning, not saying it couldn't do with a few little repairs i.e the Pools and surrounding areas but apart from that a very clean and great looking hotel.
Check in was seamless & swift plus we had booked the My Favorite Club upgrade and have to say its 100% worth it ! .
The room was lovely with an amazing sea view and large balcony with two sunbeds & chairs plus a small table.
Inside the rooms you get a large 42"HD Tv, a small fridge stocked with beers & soft drinks plus a good sized bathroom/Shower which includes a hair drier and soaps plus shampoos.
The only two things i found wrong with the room was a bit of a lack of storage space i.e. drawers to pop all your belongings into, also the shower water pressure was very low but was good enough to shower & clean yourself, just don't run a bath or you may be there some time.
The hotel restaurant is huge stocked with a great choice at breakfast lunch & Dinner and if you cant find something you like you must need help!.
Wine & beer is on offer plus a range of wines on the All inclusive package but if you fancy slightly better wines & a secluded area to dine you must upgrade to the "My Favorite Club" package which is only about ÂŁ240 per couple and definitely worth it.
Outside the pools are big "but chilly" and there is also a heated pool inside which is mostly plagued by kids unfortunately.
There is also a good steam room and sauna rooms for you to use which a great.
The hotel evening entertainment is the only thing that lets the hotel down a bit, the various acts are not too great and for us the best night was a Karaoke night.
During the day there are various activities for young & old focused mainly around the pool.
Also during the day there is plenty of options to snack & drink if you want.
Staff were great & the two members of staff that stood out for us were Angel on the front reception desk who really does have 100% customer service and was a total credit to the hotel.
Also Ozz on the animation team was also a great member of staff who was great to talk too, very helpful and always there with a smile.
All in all a great hotel and we will definitely be back again.

Thanks to all the staff

Just returned from Alta Village, well where do I start, I booked this hotel due to some good reviews
On arrival we had a warm welcome, even though directions to our room was not too clear, so took some finding in the dark.
Room 3214 looked fine, basic but ok. I always check the bathroom & bed before unpacking, there was need of thee toilet needing a wipe with antibacterial wipes which I took. But other wise fine.
Bed was comfortable, plenty on space.
So you can imagine our disappointment when we woke up in the morning covered in bites.
I checked the bed to find blood spots on the bottom of the bed on th sheets after a closer look we could see it was fleas
There as so many cats on site guests were allowing in the rooms, and feeding them everywhere. We reported this immediately where we were to,d the room would be sprayed and new bedding.
We had the new bedding but no sign of spraying.
We heard that a lot of people had the same issues. We reported again as we were still being bitten, again room sprayed & bedding.
The food was not the best and cold most nights, choice poor.
Also one evening we all asked if we could join 8n on the quiz but the entertainment lady told us it would only be in French, so if we couldn’t speak or understand French it wasn’t worth it.
We also noticed French guests were treated much better that English, on more than one occasion.
Finally it states walking distance to the beach, it doesn’t mention the steep hill and rugged ground, people were struggling with buggy’s and older people.
The lady in the shop was so rude, and more or less kicked me out, as she would be closing in 15mins, I only needed 5 mins.
Unfortunately very disappointed and certainly not a 4star.
Even the TUI rep didn’t seem happy with the hotel.

Back from 15 days at the Alua village club. Our first impression upon arriving was WOW, the reception building is magnificent and the view over the swimming pools and the sea is breathtaking.

Very clean room, not very big for 3 people but functional. On the other hand, we were in the 61** and it's very noisy, whole nights without sleeping and all they tell you at reception is to buy earplugs in their shop (which doesn't have any). are not really, which serve no purpose, apart from saving you 10 euros).

The food is quite varied and relatively good, the same goes for the cocktails included in the all-in menu. The staff in the bars and restaurants are very friendly. On the other hand, the outdoor terraces are much too small and inside it is very noisy. The tables, whether at the lower or upper bar, deserve to be cleaned between each customer, in my opinion there is a lack of staff, which does not give a good image.

We did the catamaran excursion and the short tour of Fuerteventura, both very good! We also went to the next town with our feet in the water (6 km) and the return by taxi is very simple (€8). Franck, the delegate is really great, good advice.

The animation, for us the biggest disappointment. After 10 years in the Marmara club, TUI sold us that lookéa was the same, well we didn't find it at all, there are much fewer activities. The aperitif games are played indoors, which does not make you want to participate. And the facilitators only speak to people with whom they sympathize, over 15 days only Lauryne and Jodie spoke to us. It's a totally different operation from Marmara where the organizers go towards vacationers in order to "promote" the activities, there they prefer to cancel them if no one shows up.

Otherwise the complex is magnificent, it's a shame that the swimming pools only open at 10am. On the other hand, don't expect to swim in the wellness area between adults from 4 p.m., this rule is never respected, which is a shame because the place is great and very practical when there are too many wind, which unfortunately happens often. The wellness area would also benefit from more hygiene, with everyone being able to enter with any shoes. The gym is also very good.

In short, good stay but nothing more.

Well where to start, room, rooms are clean and tidy, leave towels on the floor and they will be replaced put a blue card on the bed and your sheets will be changed. We had a bottle of water left everyday which was very much appreciated as you carn't drink the tap water, we had complementary tea on arrival left by the kettle, but after that no milk so although there is tea and sugar in the restaurant there's no milk and you are not allowed to take crockery from the restaurant, if you could you could of taken milk back. Air con worked fine and we were cool all the time in the room, we had a sea view.
Hotel in general is clean and tidy and all the staff were polite and work very hard.
Location we thought was right on the beach as the photos lead you to believe but actually you are around 10 min walk, which we didn't mind but for those of you with a disability may struggle as the route to the beach is a mix of concrete and ash paths on a incline/decline depending wether you are coming or going, down hill going.
Beach bar on the beach is nice but is not part of the hotel so you obviously have to pay for your food and drinks.
The food in the hotel if British from England or alikes you may be dissatisfied, the hotel caters mainly for the French so continental cuisine is on offer, and as stated in previous reviews is only warm, so if you want you English breakfast at its warmest get your drinks first along with toast or anything else you may want, back to table then get your main, this goes for breakfast dinner and tea.
There is nothing really to do in the immediate area, you will have to travel if you want shops, bars and restaurants... 10 euros we paid for a taxi ride into Morro Jable each way.
If you like it quite, go left to the sun loungers around the pool with the island, if you have family, kids with you, go right to the pool, loungers and kids pool as you are look from reception, opposite if you are coming from your room.
The entertainment was not for us, and its mainly spoken in French.
The bars we thought were OK but be aware that all inclusive ends at 11pm.
We enjoyed our stay and if not for being disappointed with the food we would return, but no we won't be going back....

We returned to this excellent hotel now Hyatt with the Lookea club formula. Not much to complain about compared to what I wrote here two years ago: spacious rooms sometimes requiring a little renovation, large terrace, very clean, friendly and helpful staff; the food as well as the All Inclusive have even improved, with better cuisine and more varieties; excellent Lookea animation; two large outdoor pools and a heated interior with use of spa and sauna included (!). The only downsides that have nothing to do with the hotel itself or the Lookea club are the location of the establishment which has a superb view of the Atlantic but whose very beautiful and large beach is quite difficult to access via a steep path of about one km with an elevation gain of 100 meters. Located in the urbanization of Esquinzo (6 km from Jandia and Morro Jable), the hotel is substantially isolated with only a small pharmacy and supermarket (at very attractive prices) in the beginnings.

Hotel hygiene and cleanliness have deteriorated significantly. It was our second stay 2.5 years ago.
Dining room, hotel room and pool area could be cleaner.
Food lukewarm to cold.
Floors should be mopped sporadically, for example if something falls down during the meal.
Run new coffee machines several times beforehand. Strong industrial smell in the first two days. (undrinkable and toxic).
If machines are empty, fill them up before meal times start. Not just during meal times.
Often no coffee beans or various water dispensers were empty. And then for two days. This also applies to jam dispensers, for example. The guest always had to alert the service that something was empty.
We cannot recommend it at the moment.

They would deserve an extra vote if it weren't for the fact that the company behind this hotel has decided to focus exclusively on the French!!
I know you could call it a French colony in Fuerteventura!!!
The village deserves praise for cleanliness, tranquility and welcoming souls not for Italians we were in the minority under 10 units out of a total of 3/400 guests
The food is of quality but prepared in a very European way so don't expect Italian cuisine but not even in the slightest!!!
Animation therefore only for French and English even the Spanish are a minority
For the rest, nice spacious rooms and quiet village a bit distracting if you get a room under 3000 you are very far from the restaurant and swimming pool!!
The very large sundeck is beautiful and has an excellent view, too bad the pools are only cold as if they were refrigerated
The Spa has two hot pools but nothing special and above all there is no respect for the rules and therefore even children and babies frequent them
There is a ban on smoking in the swimming pools but it is practically never respected
Finale I recommend it above all the price/quality has no equal!!
but don't expect any Italian assistance or Italian food
Tranquility is guaranteed, the place is perfect, there is the beach which is a little far away because it is downhill but it is very beautiful
I don't know if I will return to this hotel
