Fuerteventura Princess is a family-friendly hotel in Jandia, a popular beach resort on the southern coast of the Spanish island of Fuerteventura. The hotel opens up onto a long stretch of sandy beach and is within walking distance of the centre of Esquinzo. Overlooking the surrounding mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, Fuerteventura Princess has a central outdoor area with 5 swimming pools, one of them for adults only, and a separate pool for kids. The surrounding sun terrace offers a place to sit and relax with a drink from the hotel's pool bars. While the children are kept busy with activities in the daily kids' club, you can head over to the gym for a workout, enjoy the Turkish bath or sauna and perhaps get a massage. There's also the chance to join in with an aerobics or aqua aerobics class and play a game of tennis, football or beach volleyball. At Esquinzo beach, the hotel organises water activities including windsurfing, sailing and stand up paddle boarding. The hotel has also evening entertainment.

Nestled on a picturesque beachfront, the Fuerteventura Princess hotel is often commended for its cleanliness and well-maintained grounds. While its location is idyllic for those seeking tranquility, some guests may find it too remote for adventure. The hotel's atmosphere receives mixed reviews; a welcoming vibe with live music is a hit for many, but others desire more variety in entertainment. Service at the bars can be slow due to staffing issues, affecting the overall experience.
Although the amenities are generally appreciated, particularly the pools and beach access, critiques arise regarding the entertainment options and the all-inclusive package. Additionally, the value is a point of contention for guests facing unexpected charges and questioning the cost-quality balance. Room opinions are divided, with praise for their cleanliness and comfort, yet there are remarks about outdated decor and maintenance needs.

Detailed Reviews
From the minute we walked in we were amazed at the decor of the hotel, stunning. We checked in and sadly our room was not ready so we had to wait and after a long day of travelling we just wanted to get into a change of clothes and relax. When we got into our room it was clean and tidy and was cleaned daily to a high standard. The pools were clean and for a hotel of this size they never felt busy which was great and kids were allowed inflatables which was a plus. It would have been nice if the pools would have been warmer.
The food in both restaurants were lovely. Men make sure you take trousers as you are not allowed in for evening service without. We were not informed of this so were stuck the first couple of nights. I did think this was a silly rule as you then had ladies coming in wearing next to nothing!
I agree with some of the reviews that some of the bar staff were rude and would leave you waiting whilst finishing their conversations off with their colleagues.
The evening entertainment was great and something to look forward to. The beach is on your door step which is beautiful. We walked to a little town which took about 30 minutes or a cheap taxi fare away. This is a nice place to visit and breaks the days up. Overall a lovely hotel.

+1
We stayed here for half term. We paid the upgrade which was worth every penny as the heated pool was brilliant and having the slightly quieter place to eat was much nicer than having to que for food in the busier places.
When we arrived the staff were friendly and efficient. The room was pleasant and clean, but the plants outside on our ground floor balcony were so overgrown we had no natural light in our room. I asked for this to be put right but after two days it had not so I actually ended up cutting them back myself.
The food was good overall. I enjoyed the lunches best as these included lots of fresh salads and fish. The breakfasts were the weakest as I would expect fresh fruit selection and this was mainly tinned. Plus my partner had a full cooked breakfast a few times and every time the hash browns were still frozen in the middle. The evening meals were nice and lots of selection but would of liked more food for the region rather than catering for English and German. But this is my personal taste.
We were disappointed that the coffee and water were not replenished in the rooms and also felt some of the staff were not as friendly as I would of hoped for. This was especially noticeable in exclusive area where you would expect them to be better with the care they showed. One blond woman was particularly unfriendly.
We enjoyed the pool side entertainment and the evening shows were enjoyed by our daughter.
The cocktail bar area was lovely and the drinks good. But need more staff in this area and the sports bar as the ques were too long.
The local beaches were stunning and the sea just beautiful. Would of welcomed more information on what to do in the local area. But we worked it out.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but there are little tweaks that could of made it so much better.

Quite location just close to long and wide sandy beach. Perfect place for relaxation, long walks and reflections. The hotel is clean, well organised, the staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are big enough, beds are comfortable, the restaurant, as always in the all-inclusive style, could seems to be a little bit boring, but if you have a little invention you will be happy. I am not keen on life shows during evening but they have trying to keep the aesthetic standard. The beach is public, so you need to pay for sunbeds, but the ticket is valid for all Jandia beaches. Beach is clean, beds and umbrellas prepared. The Wifi is payable for areas outside the lobby and limited to two devices- they have to improve it to 2 devices per person. It is really annoying, when sometimes you have to do some business. The general impression: if you need to be close to the nature, no discos and crowd, that is a perfect place. That is way we decided to come back in August

Currently on day 10 of our holiday sitting by the pool writing this. I'm not normally one to post a negative review but my disappointment in this hotel is real!
We're a family of 6, spent thousands of hard earned pounds on a holiday we have been looking forward to for years!
Though I will start with the pros
1) Very clean
2) Lovely grounds
3) Great location
4) Beautiful beach
5) Upgrade to Esencia (warm pool & less crowds)
6) We enjoyed the bingo
7) Amazing view from Esencia restaurant
8) Cute cats
Now for the hard facts, I'm sharing with you so that you don't waste your money on a hotel that isn't up to standard.
1) Our first night we were not allocated enough rooms so my 69 year old mum had to squeeze in with us. Not the greatest of starts when we didn't arrive until midnight. I raised this with the reception staff who said nothing could be done until the morning. The room she should have had was a single occupancy sea view which she paid a premium for.
2) The room I booked was sold as a family room but the photos are very deceiving, it's 2 separate rooms with what I would describe as a porch area. So you had to go outside to get to the other room. As this didn't feel safe. We slept with both doors open meaning it was never dark due to the exterior light never turning off. I do not recommend this option for a family with young children. It was basically 2 rooms neighboring each other.
3) The second day of the holiday, my mum was allocated her room which did meet expectations which was great but no word of an apology. I requested to speak to management but they refused to acknowledge my complaint. Thought the guest relation lady was lovely and upgraded us to Esencia
4) Every day we had an issue with the room key, it failed to work which meant a visit to reception to get the cards reset. Very inconvenient as reception was quite a trek from our room especially with 3 tired children at the end of the day after finding out we cannot enter our room AGAIN and AGAIN
5) Each interaction with the reception staff was painful, zero customer service skills and very rude. I was polite each time and was not greeted to the same back.
6) The pools were cold and you had to get up extremely early, while still dark to secure beds together
7) The activities on offer were poor, one archery board between 20 people is not sufficient. 2 arrows each! Also the health and safety was lacking, allowing people to shoot without arm protection. We were looking forward to rifle shooting but it was cancelled the morning it was due to take place.
8) The animation staff were not approachable, usually we'd know the team by name and enjoy spending time with them but they were just miserable without any enthusiasm.
9) You cannot book a late checkout until your last day which does not allow you to plan your day as it may not be available.
I recommend staying at the hotel next door... Magic Life. We have amazing memories from our holiday there.

Our hotel room 6102A was riddled with ants. The bathroom was the same. You would leave a towel on the floor from getting a shower and they would be crawling on the towel. The cleaning might aswell be non existent because as soon as you shower, your feet are dirty from walking around the room. No wonder the ants were everywere.
There isn’t much to do. You can get a short taxi ride (about 5 minutes) to the shopping centre which cost around 10 euro. The shops are ok but sell all the same things. Couple of restaurants to eat out aswell if you wanted to.
There are a couple of shops in the hotel but they don’t sell much except keyrings, magnets, crisp, drink, inflatables, clothes, bags, shoes etc. There is a ‘chemist’ type shop aswell that sells suncreams etc.
Some of the bar staff of a night are rude and a couple of times felt intimidated by them. There is a cocktail bar that does 3 cocktails on all inclusive (tequila sunrise, pina colada and something else). If you like your alcoholic drinks strong, then you won’t have an issue because they do not measure. It is all non branded drinks.
Food isn’t the best, there were some nights we only ate chips and bread. Also many nights were the same.
The childrens entertainment was so bad. Everything was Spanish. They didn’t really cater for the English. The shows of a night after the kids disco was ok but again its repeated.
Getting a sun lounger by the pool wasn’t an issue if you got up early enough to reserve with towels. Most people left there towels on beds by the pool, then went to the beach all day and came back to go into the pool around 4 o’clock.
I stayed here for a week with my Fiance and 2 children (6 and 4). On the second day we had to complain to customer service as my children cut their feet in the pool by the Arena Bar. They offered us an upgrade to Escensia, which was a waste of time because it is basically the same as have a green wrist band (all inclusive)
Overall, I won’t be returning to this hotel and that is due to the lack of nighttime activity and also there is not a lot for kids to do. My children are shy so didn’t want to go to the kids club but by the looks of it, all they did with the children was let them go into the pool anyway. It is a long way from the airport aswell. If you don’t want to travel long from the airport, then this place is defiantly not for you !!!
I’ve stayed in 4 star hotels before and they are better quality then what I have experienced here at the Fuerteventura Princess.

We stayed here half term October and the initial impressions were good, albeit, we took a private transfer from the airport which means we missed the awful scramble to check in which we saw over the coming days.
The room was clean and well equipped, but side sea view not direct which we booked, there are so few direct sea view rooms so this is the first issue when you pay to upgrade. We had the standard all inclusive, which meant your drinking water bottles were not replaced each day, you had to wait for 10am for the bar to open unless you walked to the shop and purchased water ( all inclusive)!! The local beers and spirits you are allowed are just about acceptable, if you are a serious drinker you may want to upgrade to get premium branded drinks.
The food in the main restaurant is good, but very busy, plenty of choice but if you go after 8pm be prepared to queue. For breakfast, use the smaller restaurant by the pool, opens at 10am, less crowded, less choice, but stunning views.
The evening entertainment is so poor it is embarrassing, complete rubbish for both kids and adults. Daytime entertainment is much better, although you have to track down where the events are taking place. The APP tells you what’s going on but not where.
Th pools are quite nice, plenty of beds ( which were all gone by 9am), but not designed if you actually want to swim for exercise, and why, in the main pool, are the two sections not connected, stupid bridge which separates both areas.
The beach is a short walk down a shirt steep sandy gavel path, and is stunning, very long, lots of different areas with sun beds and beach bars, clean and the sea just amazing. The Bali beds, a joke. You have to pay for a Bali bed that is set back between the hotel and the beach, on a gravel/ Sandy area enclosed by a wire fence, awful.
During the day reception is well maned but in the evening…… there is no duty manager, the few staff working are inexperienced and rude, when coaches arrive bringing guests the check in is complete chaos’s, and if you have any issues at night, don’t bother raising them, the staff don’t care.
This is a large sprawling hotel, so from one side to another you have to negotiate steep paths, uneven steps, not suitable for elderly or any with disability.
This hotel needs a serious management shake up. Potential is there but under investment, poor staff training and lack of attention to detail does not warrant 4 starts. We will not be coming back next year!

We stayed at the Princess in December, arriving on the 29th Dec and had a week all-inclusive stay.
Considering it was winter time, the weather was great and we were able to have many hours by the pool.
The room was excellent compare to many rooms given overseas, with well thought out decorations including fancy lights, with a large bathroom, bedroom and it’s own balcony.
We didn’t realise the whole hotel and area was quite so sloped and due to major ankle surgery, I wouldn’t recommend for anyone with mobility issues and not if in a wheel chair or crutches. We saw so many fathers puffing when pushing their children up the slopes.
The numerous pool areas are all clean, with 3 drink/food restaurants and with pool depths for all ages and many sun loungers. Of course as anywhere, towels were being left at the crack of dawn despite the warning signs, but we still got a spot each day.
We enjoyed the adult only pool, which as tranquil and a great area to read a book and relax.
We went down the beach on day 1, but didn’t bother again as it’s not terribly attractive and the loungers aren’t cheap, but you don’t need to be on the beach when you have the hotel.
The various places to drink and eat was great and entertainment for all ages.
The food was good, although not varied and by the end of the week became boring, but maybe this was due to the time of year.
The New Years evening was a complete farce and sooooo disorganised. The staff seemed overwhelmed and many families gave up waitingas we were all cramped in a small area, including the stairwells and queuing for ages, which was really disconcerting as covid was rife. The food was okay, but because so many people went into to restaurant together, the queues were awful and food wasnt replenished quick enough, so we went out hungry. Such as shame as we could see what they tried to achieve, but they just didn’t have to staff to help.
I would recommend this hotel, although I am sure summer would be incredibly packed and very popular.

We arrived at 5pm and queued for over 1.5 hours to check in. This process should be looked at as there we only around 15 families queuing. The rooms are basic but pleasant and they are a good size. We visited in January and all of the pools are so cold. The pools also don’t open until 10am which is quite late when you have young children who may wake early for the day. The cleaning service of the rooms is of a very good standard and they can be cleaned daily if you leave your card out
Pool towels can only be changed once in a seven day period.
There is only one shop within about a 2 mile radius. We hired a car to visit the island and get about, car hire is very reasonable it was £170 for 4 days car hire ( you can get it from approx. £140)
There is a good selection of food in the restaurant, however only basic drinks are included in the all inclusive (Prosecco is chargeable, some coffees are chargeable and there is only a very limited selection of cocktails within the all inclusive package) you can upgrade to a premium package at 15 euros per day per person
The bar staff are quite rude, particularly at the poolside bar, however the restaurant staff are very friendly and polite
We would return to the island, but we wouldn’t choose his hotel as it was too far out, and I have stayed in more appealing all inclusive hotels. We didn’t feel it was good value for money, and unless you hire a car or book trips there isn’t anything to do outside of the hotel

Dear Nic, We appreciate all of our guests’ comments, because they help us achieve top quality service levels. We hasten to express our sincere regret that your visit fell below. We wish to assure you that our service standards are very important to us and hence worked upon each and every day. Of course we would like to apoligize for your experiences with the check in and our staff at the bars and in addition we are going to speak to the persons in charge. Besides that we would like to inform you that only our main pool is non heated, but the others are. Furthermore you can change your towels as often as you want. You only have to ask at the reception for new ticket when you run out of them. We hope you consider to give us an other chance in the future. Best regards, RRPP Fuerteventura Princess

This was a family holiday made up of 4 adults and 2 children. The hotel 'lobby' is stunning with high wooden ceilings. The hotel is split into two, the regular accommodation and the suites (in the Esencia part of the hotel). Access to the Esencia is through locked doors that open with your room key. The hotels design is that of a village, whitewashed buildings with terracotta roofs. The gardens are stunning. Pathways connect all parts of the hotel and are well lit by large terracotta lamps at the edge of the paths. Our suites were extremely spacious, in fact they were two interconnecting rooms. We had two bathrooms, two wardrobes, two balconies a lounge area and bedroom. The downside was that the wardrobes had no long hanging space and the bedroom had no drawers! Very odd! Our other family members room was totally different. Again two interconnecting rooms but they had just the one large shower room, separate toilet, HUGE clothes hanging/storage area, a bedroom and a lounge....oh, and a stunning sea view! There is a main restaurant (The Food Market), The Sirroco and The Mirador (inside Esencia). Sadly, we were put in the wrong rooms but by the time it was clarified it was too much of an upheaval to swap rooms. The meal arrangement was All Inclusive and, although there was plenty to eat, I personally felt it was very repetitive. We all had a fantastic holiday together and would definitely go back, but the one thing we would want changing is the attitude of many of the bar and restaurant staff. They were so miserable and had a very bad attitude to the extent that they would make comments about the number of glasses/beakers we'd used!! Six people having a couple of drinks = 12 glasses, what on earth did they expect?!! Feedback was given to the Esencia reception and we were told that this was an ongoing issue at the hotel. They need to sort something out and soon! It is a fab place and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Overall we rate this hotel very highly. The pool, the accommodation and the location are very good. We had a junior suite which worked well for our party of 3 adults as it is very spacious and the shower was excellent. Plenty of storage space and if one side of the suit was a bit noisy there was a quieter other side to retreat to. The pool looks to be brand new, a good depth and shape for proper swimming and it is heated so definitely can swim in it in February. When we arrived late on Saturday night the noise of the bar was very off-putting to deal with whilst we did our check-in. However, as the week progressed we found it to be a very friendly and relaxed space and this is true throughout the hotel. As for the food, there is plenty of choice and you do better if you stick to Spanish or German options as some of the items aren't heated enough - e.g. baked beans, for some reason. Overall would recommend.

Yes huge sports bar with lots of tvs
Hi, TA rules forbid email addresses to be posted . You need to go the the hotels own Web site , the email address will start with reservas . In my experience they are very bad at responding to emails , but if its a room request etc they normally do there best .
Hi, I have never seen any F/P bands ( Green or White) around the J/P pools ( silver), But in theory there is no problem . the only problem is you would not be able to use the bars etc. If you were to upgrade to black bands AL+, they are the same in both hotels , so in that case no problem.
Hi, Yes, with 2 changes a week
