Massive and green property which is very well maintained and clean. Great place to unwind over the weekend, to organise a function or to stop by on the way to the south. There are various accommodation options to choose from. I recommend chalets by the pond.
Fellow travellers, this was our first time in Namibia and we self drove. Our route was Windhoek of course and then on to the Kalahari. After extensive research we decided that a nice place to stay on our first stop in country would be the Lapa Lange Game Lodge. In all honesty it was a little difficult to locate even with the convenience of an updated GPS device. But eventually we found it and I would call this a hidden gem. There is game in abundance surrounding the lodge , rhinos, giraffes and all manner of antelope. And the hidden surprise was several big cats ( cheetahs) that were tame enough to pet and stroke as one would a house cat or dog. An extraordinary addition to the fine accommodations and excellent cuisine. I would love to revisit this lodge as we enjoyed every second of our stay. …
If you only stay in one place in Namibia, stay here! The lodge is beautiful and clearly someone knows exactly what they are doing when it comes to hospitality and hotel/lodge standards. Everything about this place has been well thought out. The air-con was already on when we opened the door, which was very welcome as it was 37 degrees when we arrived. The gardens are perfectly maintained and the splash pool sits directly in front of the waterhole. The room is equipped with a full size, under-counter fridge and plenty of electrical plug sockets and a really strong WiFi connection, 3 of the things a lot of places overlook. We ate dinner and breakfast on the main terrace at the restaurant and this was finished to a really high standard. The food is cooked to a high standard and the staff are all really attentive. We stayed in room N8, where you can sit and enjoy a drink on a large patio, while looking at a perfect view of the waterhole. As we were eating breakfast, just before leaving, 2 white rhino came to have a drink at the waterhole, which really was the icing on the cake! I really hope to stay here again!…
this was like arriving in heaven after several hundred kilometres of gravel road from Transfrontier National Park in SA. friendly welcome, huge room with air on already on and tv showing the cricket. I put my cold stuff in the fridge and “crashed” for an hour. I had a bath - yes a BATH! - and went for a draught beer on the terrace watching the animals at the distant waterhole. Dinner was really good- table d’hote with fair choice of dishes, and I tried springbok steak for the first time. Slept well (but I did have to spray the room with a bug spray I’d bought in SA and plugged in my electric anti mosquito device). Nice plentiful brekky watching red headed local birds cavorting on the lawn. Thoroughly recommended
The accommodation was good and we were directly at the waterhole. You could see many animals there, also rhinos. The food was very good and the staff was friendly and polite. The Bushman tour is a great thing to do. We would stay there again when we are near
