We visited Hoada Campside for two nights in May 2019. Such a wonderful place! A private place for each party, with bathroom and kitchen. The staff, especially Mr. Jefta Peter and Mrs. Mevoline are very qualified, commited, helpful and friendly. They are perfect hosts and put their heart and soul into their job. Thank you for these wonderful days. We enjoyed the time at Hoada Camside very much. Andrea & Ralf Ott Germany
This campsite is a real hidden gem! It has an amazing sunset bar and each camp area is unique with features such as outdoor showers and hot water (heated using a personal boiler!). The lady running the site is incredibly friendly and her two dogs are very lovely and playful. Also the local African (not so) Wild Cat Oscar is very curious and loves guests!
On our last visit in December 2016 time & baboons had taken a toll & we were very pleasantly surprised that a lot of maintenance had been carried out since. The very lovely manager welcomed us late in the evening & after she introduced us to the new puppy & the camp cat, showed us to the exact same site we had last time. All signs of wear & tear had been removed & the whole area was well maintained & clean. Night in Hoada is magic, you see the milky way in all its glory. The friendly staff light up the donkey for a hot shower in the sunshine & the cat comes around to wish you a good morning. If you're early enough, you'll see the rock dassies up on the boulders. If you're looking for a secluded, clean campsite with private al fresco shower & separate toilet, a quiet area & very…
This was my second visit to Hoada and it was as nice as the first time. Clean, private bathrooms with plenty of space between pitches. They also sell a few small items at reception. That is where I got my Peaceful Sleep insect repellent. Get some, you will need it! I only spent one night as there is not a lot to do in the immediate area. Perfectly acceptable though for a night or 2.
Great campsites, very unique. The bar/pool area has great views in the evening, and one of the employees became our friend! It was also fun to pet the wild cat in camp (don't worry, it's quite used to humans).
