Nearing the end of our stay in Ghana we booked for two nights. This place looked like it was in a special location. We like huts with eccentric porches and vistas. This certainly ticked the list on this front. While being a stones throw from main road you wouldn't know it. The wooden decks onto the water are quaint and...

One of the best places fir the weekends. The staff is good and careful with the customers. The place is kept good. There are 3 rooms having river view. The others are in a garden. The food is good. You can enjoy the fresh fish on the river.

Aylos Bay is situated at a lovely spot along the Volta river, with nicely maintained grounds. It offers a relaxing retreat about 2 hours from Accra. But there are some down sides. The infrastructure is run down, including the rooms. Our room was not cleaned well (I’d recommend bringing flip flops for the shower) and had used towels (I had...

It used to be my favourite for many years, a beautiful and silent place next to the Volta river in Atimpoku. The riverside bungalows are a good choice, the volta river shrims and the fofo light soup is very good. I really miss it.

This used to be my favourite place to stay in Akosombo and I came here often. I haven't been here in over a year (last stay was Dec 2014) and came to stay one night over the Easter weekend (2016) with some friends only to find that room prices have more than doubled. We decided to stay here anyway and...

These rooms are lovely - great rates for clean, functional rooms with AC. Request for the ones that open out right onto the pier and definitely take a boat ride from here. The night sky is absolutely gorgeous here - definitely don't miss out on this - and also makes for a great place to talk late into the night....

Calling it a guest house is a bit of a misnomer. Aylos Bay is a large rambling chalet style resort set right on the edge of the mighty Volta river, just downstream from the famous dam . We went for best, a chalet right on the edge of the river with a veranda you can swim from. The food is...

Aylos Bay was a beautiful spot on the Volta River. We were booted from the waterside bungalow for another group the second night - which meant downgraded in room. The waterside bungalow was beautiful, working aircon and hot shower - clean, not buggy or anything. The garden room was sufficient, not quite as clean/nice furniture, but the water heater worked...
