This hotel is like a little paradise, it has a beautiful garden and there are beautiful ducks and birds. It is beautifully decorated and the rooms are luxurious and stylish, very romantic. The location of the hotel is perfect, close to Auxerre but the hotel itself is in a peaceful and quiet area.

We stayed here only one night but my husband wanted to live there. We arrived very, very early but received a warm welcome and shown into the lounge/dining room (which is beautiful), deposited on comfy sofas and given an excellent bottle of Chablis to drink while we were waiting for our room to be ready. We were upgraded (at no...

Its beautiful, pretty, not so easy to find. We were given the cottage (La Folie), which was nice, but the rooms were damp and one room had no door to it! All meals home cooked were delicious but expensive, as were the wines, but if you are looking for a bit of pampering this is the place. Delightful gardens and...

Monique, the owner, was priceless. So gracious. A bit of a communication problem since we don't speak French but we got by. The Folly was cozy and comfortable. Breakfasts and dinner were excellent. Entire staff went out of their way make us feel welcome.

I can only second some of the reviews here. Madame is a dear, and if you are animal lovers as we are, you cannot find a better place to stay near Auxerre. We overnighted at the property on our way to Normandy from Switzerland, and the first treat was finding the Manoir. We initially drove by and were delighted to...

We stayed at Le Petit Manoir May 8-11, in the cottage called la Folie, which has two bedrooms, a bath and WC, and small sitting area with kitchenette (fridge, sink, and electric kettle). The cottage was lovely, very private, and most comfortable, and is surrounded with a large garden to look out on or explore. The grounds are filled with...

This was our third stay at this beautiful Chateau & Hotel Collection B&B. The woman who owns and runs the property is amazing. She is probably eighty years old and is a fabulous cook and host. She will prepare and serve a great and hearty home cooked meal paired with a fine wine. All at reasonable prices. The property is...

Felt like staying with a friend in this charming home but still had our privacy. They served a wonderful dinner even though we didn't make advance reservations for the night. Beautiful house with nicely decorated rooms and biggest (clean and modern) bathroom we've ever had in Europe. Very hospitable.

Stayed in this hidden gem for just one night and was amazed at the welcome we got. Arrived late one evening and the lovely and slightly eclectic ladies who operate the place welcomed us into what is a magnificent old mansion. We did not book our stay with breakfast but they insisted on us having a superb breakfast - including...

My 4th visit here this past September was as wonderful as ever. Le Petit Manoir des Bruyeres is a tranquil gem of beauty and welcome civility on lovely grounds with beautifully appointed rooms and an excellent cuisine prepared by the charming and most capable proprietor, Monique. The Manoir is well-located; an easy 2-hour drive to or from Paris. I definitely...
