When we arrived the giant place was empty. No one other then the host was in this big mansion. Fascinating in a way. The place seemed to belong to us. We expected something more luxurious. When you get over your first expectation it is quite an experience. Tiles in light pink. Worn carpets, woolen blankets that could be changed. I...

The rooms were spacious but sparingly appointed. No TV. There is an elevator to take you to the higher floors. Much history and expansive grounds, including small ponds. Hubert is the host who does everything all day long. Very helpful and friendly. He corrects any problems immediately and is very knowledgeable about local restaurants and activities. Reasonable rates.

A group of us spent six nights here, and M.Hubert went to the trouble of organizing a superb dinner for us every night. The experience was delightful, and extremely good value. Better by far than a three-starred establishment in another part of Brittany. A lovely area to explore, too.

In a good way, this hotel is totally unique! Look a little deeper and you will find something wonderful. Criticisms written by other scribes can take on another "spin" with an open mind. We spent nearly a week here with a large group of car friends and had the most wonderful time in the home of a true gentleman, owner...

Really beautiful house. Yes inside is more B & B than posh hotel but it is very comfy and spotlessly clean. The proprietor is charming, friendly and speaks English. Apart from a brief glimpse of a chambermaid he appears to all the work from reception, serving breakfast to doing the garden. Why would we have needed air con (Brittany has...

The Manoir is a very beautiful building, but lacks atmosphere and basic hotel facilities ( no restaurant, proper bar etc...), so there is no inducement to spend any leisure time there. Definitely felt more like a B/B. I would describe the decor as "shabby /chic". Don't leave the windows open at night - bugs galore!

This is an interesting place. You can see it has "good bones" but it is a very dated property. The garden would require significant investment to maintain, and you can tell that the owners have thrown in the towel. (The photos on the website must be about 20 years old at least). The rooms are fine...that is they are clean,...

This is quite one of the most unusual hotels in which I have ever stayed. To be fair, I would describe it more as a very upmarket B&B. We spent three nights here in September when the weather can be a little uncertain. This did not really matter as this is a very lovely part of Brittany, rain or shine....

We spent three nights here and it is a beautiful place. Our room in the tower was very nice and the breakfast was quite good. Very close to a town with great restaurants and shops. The manager was very helpful and it was a great value.

This is a grand country hotel, with a quiet ambience, conveniently located for touring and beach holidays in a lovely part of Brittany. The Manor, set in 100 acre grounds, dates from the 14th century, and the owners make you feel you are a guest in their private home - which in fact it is! Don't expect a gymnasium, or...
