I write this as we're looking to book our 9th trip back to St. George's Caye Resort. We last visited in February and are looking to go back again before our yearly visit. After going through customs and immigration, the staff is ready and waiting for you outside to take you to

This was our first time visiting St. George's Caye, and it was a wonderful experience. The resort is peaceful, cozy, and full of activities to do. We spent a lot of time on the kayaks and paddleboards in the calm lagoon on the leeward side of the island. One of the main

Thank you Lauren! What a positive review and we are just so grateful that you took your first trip to Belize with us. We are thrilled that your trip was such a success! Our ability to keep our group sizes smaller is something that we often hear guests truly appreciating, as well as the family style meals seem to be a pleasant surprise as a highlight. We strive to serve. Your experience with that ability to disconnect from it all so you can reconnect with relaxation is just what we hope for. We couldn't be happier that you had such a great time and we can't wait to pamper you in paradise again very soon! Thank you again so much and we look forward to service you again upon your return!

This is a very nice private resort just a 20 minute boat ride from Belize City. They pick you up at the airport, take you to the boat (20 min ride) and transfer all your luggage all the way to your room. Upon arrival they have a rum punch (sans rum - that can be added when you

We are thrilled you had such a great time on our little private island paradise. And blessings to you for taking the time to provide so many details of your stay, very helpful for our future guests. Thank you for bringing up our private island status…our guests love no traffic, no roads, no crowds. And love that you enjoyed your hammock time, one of our favorite approved island “activities”. Happy that you loved our banquet style meals, and making new friends. It’s one of my favorite times on the island. Remember you can have a private dinner also, just ask😊 One clarification, we do have a great resort course for divers who are not certified but want to experience SCUBA in the open waters of the Caribbean. Beginners love our patient caring dive masters. Thanks again for your 5 star review, hope to see you again soon!

Incredible overwater thatched roof cabanas, a true Belize bucket list item! You may even see a puffer fish or other colorful coral fish greeting you in the morning, right from the dock!

Wide, sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea available at every glance!
I did, the first day we got there, but it was mucky bottom and bad visibility so i did not go in there again. Really the beach area is small but usable. We spent time just relaxing and swimming in the pool. Kayaking was awesome!!! Highly recommend spending time exploring all the islands across from the resort, and the cut through between the island was really cool!!! There is a great beach area by kayak, as Alvin, he will help you pack a lunch bag and you can spend all day there all alone! Have fun!!!

Although you can enter the water for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, etc, from the overwater cabanas, there is also a groomed beach immedeately next to the over water cabanas. There is a birds eye view video on the website that shows exactly the nature of how the resort is situated on this little private island paradise. Hope this helps!

Which cabana is better-oceanfront or overwater?
Hello Maddy! Sorry for the delay on this! They are both incredible experiences so it is really about preference. If you are a sunrise person, you can enjoy the sunrise from the Oceanfront cabana, if you are a sunset person, the best views are the Overwater cabana. You can see all of the pictures and lodging at our website (please email me for that apparently I can't attach that here :)) and be sure to check out our blog for more great, recent pictures. If you could please message us with the time frame in which you hope to travel. We specialize in customizing your stay from the time we pick you up at the airport to the time you say goodbye. :) Here is a little more about both lodging options! Overwater: Enjoy your private porch complete with individual hammock and thatched roof ambiance while overlooking the Caribbean Sea on the west side of our small island. These six cabanas are situated on a half-moon dock with incredible sunset views. They feature work-of-art Belizean hardwood ceilings in the bedroom area to keep you cool and comfortable. Includes private bath, air conditioning, and ceiling/floor fans. Sleeps 2-3 people (can be furnished with one king or two beds). Oceanfront: Located on the east side of the island, each of our four oceanfront cabanas has its own private porch from which you can take in the panoramic views of the ocean from your personal hammock. Wake up to greet the sunrise, or sleep in and enjoy the tranquility of your island experience. Each cabana features a gorgeous open thatch roof with natural flow-through ventilation and includes a private bath with hot and cold running water, air conditioning, and ceiling/floor fans. Sleeps 2-3 people (can be furnished with one or two beds). Hope to see you in paradise soon!

"Overwater cabanas have great sunsets on the lagoon and lots of fish to see underneath. For more breeze, choose oceanfront cabanas."
"The 4 oceanfront cabanas are worth the extra money."
"Love the cabanas on the beach to have a constant breeze and we never use our A/C!"
"Overwater Cabana #1 - furthest away from the diesel genset, which makes some constant humming noise. Cab #1-6 face west, less windy side."
