Beautiful agroturismo set in lovely countryside. Authentic home with antiques- simple but comfortable accommodation with very friendly staff. Victoria went above and beyond to be helpful for my stay. Local produce for food which was simple but satisfying.

Son Traiy Agrotourismo has it's priorities and heart exactly in the right place. Surrounded by birdsong and gentle rolling hills to my mind there is nothing nicer than sitting by the pool. You are free to wander this grand estate and enjoy feeling part of it. Upstairs in the vast salon you might easily feel the family about to return from the hunt. There is always a corner somewhere just for you. Breakfast -a buffet is plentiful with a variety of cakes and local cheese. In the evening Carmen cooks a set meal- try the paella . Antonia runs the place with charm and ease. Her family assist to create a 'real place' full of character. Everyone is very thoughtful and watchful to meet your every need. The property is about 1km down a farm track. Watch out for the garden centre as the turning is opposite . It was a privilege to stay there.Wish I could go back tomorrow.

The main house is beautiful and has been maintained like a museum. It is open throughout the day for guests to explore and relax. There are landscaped formal gardens to wander around as well as the surrounding farmland and forest. The farm's main activity is breeding the local rare breed sheep and cattle, and they also keep hens and pigs. The cattle are the local menorquina and are very docile, so it is possible for guests to explore all of the fields and forest around the hotel. The tennis court may have seen better days, but it would be fine for a social game. There is a great hitting wall that must be 15ft tall. We chose one of the apartments. They are converted farm buildings, so we weren't expecting the same level of elegance as the main house, but we found that the conversion had been done very well using high quality fittings and an eye for detail. They do serve meals every night, which is useful as all restaurants are a drive away, although we chose not to eat in the hotel as we preferred to explore. All in all, this is a great choice for anyone wants to be able to escape the crowds and enjoy the island in a more tranquil setting.

We had a wonderful stay at Son Triay. If you want a lively, party atmosphere this is NOT the place for you. This is an idyllic, tranquil spot where you can stay in the beautiful colonial house or the apartments. Antonia who runs the place is fantastic. Super organized and extremely efficient and helpful. Cristina runs the kitchen and makes great food and is always on hand if you need anything – they make a great team. There is a wonderful pool to come back to late afternoon when you’ve been by the sea all day. They couldn’t have made us feel more at home. We stayed in one of the apartments, which was a good size and cleaned every day. The breakfast had a good selection of local produce. We will definitely be back!
