July, 2019. . Lovely Villa with some minor issues, quickly resolved by the villa rep, great for family of 8 (plus baby), lovely resort, great shops for self catering, no bad restaurants and fantastic views and beach.

Family of four enjoying a large Villa to ourselves thinking Villa Florit would be as some reviews have said 'well equipped...', 'stunning views', 'perfect for family holidays! What NO ONE said was how bloody noisy it was at night!!! We're on day three into our holiday and so far (from around 8pm onwards) all we can hear is a mish-mash of vocals from around two to three different bars over the bay/ cove bellowing out pants 'A-Typical' karaoke-style/pub-singer songs until the late hours! Now, we as a family LOVE live music and festivals but this tips anyone's balance of what one would expect having paid ££££s for a lovely villa overlooking beautiful waters! It's not classy. It's not peaceful and it's ****NOT**** relaxing. It's really incredibly antisocial for those in villas on the other side of the bay, its bordering on **unpleasant**! Come on people what's wrong with 'light' acoustic tunes or better still just listening to lapping waves and the sound of nature in the evening? We haven't been able to enjoy peace on our terrace in the evenings since we arrived... so if you're thinking of booking Villa Florit; DO NOT EXPECT PEACEFUL EVENINGS!!! In a word; either join in, don't book here or bang out better tunes yourself (but then that *would* be very antisocial)... so join in or DON'T BOOK if you're expecting peaceful evenings! They don't happen! Had we known just how noisy it was at night we WOULD NOT HAVE BOOKED! Hard but true!

We booked a Jet2 villa holiday to Villa Clara to be taken in September and subsequently expressed our disappointment with the quality of the villa to Jet2. We have had many villa holidays throughout Europe over the years and Villa Clara was the most basic we have encountered. The day after our arrival I contacted the villa representative to report that there was no internet connection (as advertised) and the router was unplugged. She said that this had been down since a storm 3 days previously and engineers were working to restore it - it was restored finally on Wednesday, 19 September. I also told her that when we arrived in the dark on the evening of 14 September, there were no lights working up the ramp to the property, nor was the porch light working so had it not been for the fact that I had a torch on my phone, we would have been unable to see the numbers on the key box in order to gain access to the villa. Other issues subsequently became apparent, viz.:- . A dreadful musty damp smell in the wet room which was obvious when you opened the front door; the shower curtain was not very clean. . There was just a tiny glass shelf on which to put toiletries - no other space for storage. My friends had originally taken the downstairs bedroom (only one bedside table and they had to get out of bed to switch off the light) as the lady has a bad back and thought it would help if she didn’t have to climb the stairs. . Other bulbs inside and outside were either missing or not working - the patio, the pool light, only one bulb in the light fitting in the twin bedroom when there should have been 3, no main light in the wet room - just the mirror light. . 2 frying pans had dangerously loose handles. . The oven tray had not been cleaned as there was evidence of other clients’ food on it. . No ice trays in the freezer and no oven gloves. . The hairdryer was very unpleasantly sticky. . The headboards in 2 of the bedrooms were completely detached from the beds. . An empty wine bottle had been left outside the back door. . Some of the pool loungers could have done with a good clean. I texted the villa representative re most of the above and, to her credit, she was proactive in trying to resolve the issues highlighted, e.g. all the bulbs were fixed apart from the ones up the ramp, she provided 2 new frying pans and a cleaner oven tray, and pursued the restoration of the internet connection. On a more positive note, the pool was kept immaculately clean and the beds were comfortable. In summary, we did not believe the villa was up to the standard we have had in the past with other companies and we were particularly disappointed as this had not been our original choice; I had booked another villa in January and in mid-March was informed by Jet2 that this had been double-booked and we were left with no alternative but to take another villa or be reimbursed with our deposit. In the circumstances and given Jet2’s utterly negative response to all of the above, I would never consider using Jet2 again to book a villa holiday.

Here as a couple on a last minute deal. The fault is probably ours for not having checked TripAdvisor reviews prior to our snap decision to book. The villa is at the top of a fairly steep hill, save for a couple part way up, all the restaurants/bars etc are at the bottom. The walk up is really unpleasant in the heat and does in fact put you off going down to what is a truly beautiful resort. All appliances in the villa are dated but still functional, the fridge took 2 days to cool. The villa is poorly maintained, the air conditioning only works in one bedroom, the sliding doors don't secure, blown light bulbs, external lighting is hit and miss, really did not like the lack of privacy around the pool as it's overlooked by at least 4 other villas and has the access footpath to these adjoining properties alongside the pool. The bathroom windows are clear which is a little disturbing, there is no hot water to speak of whether it's for showering or washing pots. There is a 3ft drop from the pool area which would not be good for families with small children. The benefits are you don't have to get up early to claim a sunbed, no housekeeping to disturb you, and the fitness regime in walking up the hill.

Recently returned from a family holiday in Menorca. We stayed at the Villa Fuschia in the town of Cala Galdana. The villa was operated by James Villas. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The villa was at the top of a hill that required Sherpa Tensing to help my elderly father scale. We were advised that the hill wasn’t too bad at the time of booking last February. A total lie in my opinion. It ruined the holiday as my father felt isolated as the walk to town was too difficult. The outside table for a villa that slept 8 was lucky to comfortably sit 4 round it. Were we supposed to take meals in two shifts. The other tables would only cater for six so again they were not big enough and we had to move a bigger table outside to try and make things easier. Down the side of the villa there was a 3 foot drop with no guard rail. Good job we didn’t have young children but we were worried about my father falling too. There was absolutely no privacy. The surrounding villas all looked into our pool area. The wet room on the ground floor continued to flood all of the time and was slippy. Outside light to light up the walkways didn’t work, again making the 3 foot drop even more dangerous at night. The main bedroom ensuite window didn’t have frosted glass which meant surrounding villas could watch us shower. So again no privacy!!!! We had eight sun beds around the pool but only one umbrella. Were we to draw lots and allocate times when sun beds to be used. Absolutely disgraceful!!! Not enough cutlery for eight guests and the air conditioning in the lounge area spat out water constantly. All in all I couldn’t recommend james Villas and the Villa Fuschia at all. We were all glad to get home which shouldn’t be the case when you spend hard earned money for a load of rubbish!!!!!
