As always , warm and welcoming staff ,beautiful location and facilities immaculate . Wonderful pool bar serving lovely food and drinks and relaxing terrace bar with live music on an evening . There are also nearby bars and restaurants .
This was our first time to visit since the pandemic our last visit of many was in 2018. We are not members but signed up for the special offers that Diamond Resorts offer during the year. We managed to get 8 nights in a two bed apartment for £345. The hotel is very clean as are the rooms. We had a full kitchen which included a fridge freezer and dishwasher. A nice double balcony too with a nice sea view. The pool area has recently been totally refurbished which is now even better than it was before plus the new pool bar which serves breakfast and lunch plus drinks of course. We used to rooftop bar most evenings which had a singer on every night. We had dinner in the restaurant for the first time ever but although the restaurant itself is set out nicely the food tasted very bland plus the portions were quite small too. We also had to wait longer than usual for our food to come out which was disappointing. The location of this place is very good too it has coastal paths at the rear of property that take you to Los Abrigo's and San Blas. We walked everywhere the whole time we were there. …
Lovely resort in a great position for a relaxing break away. It is within walking distance of some great restaurants. The apartment was spacious and had everything needed for your holiday. Truly home from home ….. with sunshine 🌞
The hotel was grate couple bits of it still recovering after covid but it is a lovely place staff are considerate the cleaners very good the kids club was loved by the kids and parents alike the location has a few nice restaurants and pubs and the buses easy to use for that day out to the beach.
Bit outdated 3 star hotel, but clean, very helpful and friendly staff. Good option if a price is right. Some smells of sh in the area may be present, which may be unpleasant surprise. Bit remote location in my opinion - but I may ne wrong as it may depend on where you want to go.
The new pool is up up and running now. I do hope that diamond keep the bed booking system as it dosas work really well and is well managed. New pool bar and restaurant is a great place for drinks, snacks and evening meals. Great food and service.
Good value for money staff are very nice & polite relaxing environment good place for family holiday food was fabulous highly recommended for little break ❤️❤️ Swimming pool very beautiful I would like to go again ❤️
We have been coming to this resort for years as we are Diamond members. It is in a beautiful and convenient location and the rooms in which we have stayed have been lovely. However, the once large, attractive pool has been made into a smaller leisure pool which doesn't allow for active swimming. Those who manage Diamond Resorts appear to think that everyone just wants to lounge on the decking all day or play ball games in the pool. So very disappointing. I loved the original pool which was never overcrowded. Now, you take your life in your hands trying to swim, as people are jumping off the sides and indulging in horseplay and so, swimming in this reduced size pool has become hazardous and is no longer a pleasure. If we weren't Diamond members, I would not be returning here even though the resort is lovely. I would find a hotel with a large pool, which everyone could enjoy, from those who just want to play around, to the active swimmers who want to swim safely, knowing that someone isn't going to jump on their heads!…
Although I don't really like this style of resort - high rise large condo with shared pool area - we return to Santa Barbara because it is convenient (close to airport, seafront and a range of local eateries), comfortable and we like the unusual architecture. We stayed as two couples in two 1 bedroom apartments for a fortnight. The rooms were clean, comfortable but dated. I am not a fan of the new geometric pool layout (although I understand the need to update) that takes over from the old one with the island. It doesn't seem to have improved the availability of sunbeds but the Covid-influenced need to actually book sunbeds does seem to improve things. The system needs to be fine-tuned if it is to continue. The staff were unfailingly cheerful and helpful. We were always greeted with an "Ola!" and a smile whether it was by reception staff, poolside staff, the cleaning or maintenance personnel. We appreciate the welcome. The poolside bar was open and serving food most of the day (the main restaurant was not) - not bad value either. Perfectly adequate but up against a range of local competition. The flightpath of the jets from the airport rarely impinges on the peace and relaxation poolside. The poolside bar closes by 10pm (currently) so doesn't cause a problem for those wanting a quiet evening, although the upper bar has entertainment most evenings that goes on until late. But bedrooms tend not to face onto the pool. All the rooms we have used have both ceiling fans and aircon. We sometimes find that the lightweight duvets they provide as standard can be a bit too warm once Easter arrives (but have never asked about an alternative). Kitchens now have filtered water to reduce the use of bottled water. A good seaside walk is available to San Blas and San Miguel for those fancying it. Parking is somewhat limited although there is an underground garage that can be booked in advance.…
Though my first time at this Resort, I was impressed. Older property, but well maintained. Good location, walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores and golf courses. Property faces the ocean with a boardwalk in the rear for excellent walking to restaurants and other resorts. Outstanding staff, fluid in english. Room accommodations are excellent. If you rent a car, underground parking garage is tight. Overall, excellent resort with TFS airport relatively close and TFN is only and hour to the north.
