We booked this hotel for a last minute get away abroad for some sun. The hotel itself was very nice. It was cleaned everyday however the cleaning took around 2-3 hours so we actually put the ‘do not disturb’ sign on as we wanted to get changed and didn’t feel like our door seams and balcony needed scrubbing everyday! The food wasn’t too bad, the quality on some stuff wasn’t amazing but they did change it up every day so that helped. The alcohol selection was ok, they have taken Malibu out of the all inclusive and put in some horrible alternative so avoid that but the rest was fine. Staff were lovely, the bartenders would remember your drink and be making it by the time you get to the bar. The pool was nice but freezing! You got used to it though. The room was really lovely, absolutely huge room for the two of us with a lovely rainfall shower. There wasn’t much in terms of entertainment but that could be the time of year so I can’t comment too much on that. However if entertainment isn’t on then there is literally nothing else to do other than sit in your room or drink downstairs. They have a tiny arcade bit with air hockey, a driving simulator and two pool tables. Cons of the holiday - there is absolutely nothing in walking distance! There are a few local shops and pharmacies but there is no beach, no town or anything so it got a bit boring trying to find something to do. They have a bus that takes you to one of two towns everyday if you like but it gets full up so quick. This would be the ONLY reason I won’t be returning here and it’s a huge shame.

Hotel's Favorite
My trip was September 2019 but trip advisor would not let me select the actual dates of my holiday however I still wanted to leave a review anyway. The holiday was lovely and the hotel was great too. Food was lovely and even the snack bar had some great snacks. I would suggest that the snacks are labelled as on one occasion I ate what I thought was an onion ring as it had been earlier in the week, and on this occasion it was actually calamari. Which could be potentially dangerous to some guests. The buffet dining room had a good selection of food which was all enjoyable. It could have benefitted from a self serve drinks machine as the servers were really busy so it was hard to try get the attention of one of them in order to get a drink. The free WiFi was only available in the lobby and my phone was not working. I purchased the WiFi that could be used all over the hotel and this solved this issue. One negative to my trip was that the cleaner let herself into our room at a awkward moment. We tried to shout to her and thought it was clear that we was in the room but she still opened our bedroom door anyway. She apologised and left immediately. After this, I requested at reception that they did not clean my room for the rest of the week and I avoided eye contact when I saw her in the corridors due to embarrassment but these things happen and I’m sure it was not intentional. The bar man in particular was polite, friendly and helpful. The pool was really relaxing to sit around and I enjoyed using the outdoor jacuzzi tub. Some exercise classes were held in the pool at specified times which I did not join in on but I thought they looked really fun. I would definitely return to this hotel again in the future and our holiday was lovely.

On arrival we were upgraded to an ocean view suite. It was large, airy, modern, with the biggest balcony ever overlooking the ocean. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom very modern with everything you needed for a holiday stay. For an all inclusive deal the restaurant althougth large and roomy, it was a little like a cafeteria and very noisy. However, the meals on offer were superb. The selection amazing and meat cooked to order. There was something for everyone. We visited in November so it was a little quieter, I think in the summer it could be overwhelming. Never had a problem around the pool, plenty of sunbeds, but again I think that may be the time of year we visited. The pool bar did excellent snacks and drinks. Restaurant, Pool Bar and Bar staff all very accommodating and friendly. Our one quibble was the 2 speciality restaurants. As we were only visiting for a 4 day break, if we wished to visit these restaurants we had to pay!

We came out of season, booked via TUI and travelled with our 16 month old. Rooms great, cleanliness good. Gym/ indoor pool / kids club is only open week days. Pools are “heated” but are so cold! We’ve had a comfortable week but the biggest weakness by far has been the food. Repetitive and off putting. I see the same things at lunch and dinner and it’s not appetising. We’ve gone out a few times to avoid eating at the beige buffet and it really is, sorry to say, the worst all inclusive buffet we have had. It’s one of the only weaknesses of the hotel. Everything else is as you would imagine. Our family room was brilliant and staff very accommodating.

I booked a last minute holiday to the Alua in Tenerife for October half term. This was our first all inclusive and I was travelling with my partner and a one year old and a seven year old child. I was so pleasantly surprised by the standard of this hotel, it was clearly recently and tastefully refurbished but most of all it was the staff who made it for us. The cleaning staff who worked around my babies nap time and the entertainment staff, Julia, Douglas and Stefano and their colleagues who enthusiasm was so infectious before we knew it we were all joining in the classes they so skilfully taught. Morning yoga was the highlight of my day and my son loved the kids club halloween mask making and treasure hunt. We have always been an air bnb independent travelling family but the Alua and particularly the staff there showed us how great an all inclusive holiday can be.

We were worried having read some of the negative reviews especially about the food after we booked all inclusive but needn’t have. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the housekeeping staff deserve a special mention as their attention to detail was appreciated and noted. It is a large hotel catering for many so I think some of the negative comments about the food are unfair as there is plenty of choice covering all tastes. Some of the meat was cooked too quickly but always something else to choose. You have to book the Tex Mex or other restaurant quickly limited to once per week and get booked very quickly, we managed slot at Tex Mex, food good. Aquarobics and water polo fun but don’t play latter if you don’t like being pushed, shoved and dunked when you have the ball. Entertainment very limited but may have been due to being out of season.

The Hotel was brilliant from the front entrance. Very clean and large reception area. Check in was fast, as arrived late they asked if I needed food. We was all inclusive, so to make the check in quicker, they gave me the band and said come back later and you will checked in. Very large Resort and when came back was given the card key and a staff member took me to the room. The room itself was more of an apartment then a room. Very spacious and clean. The room was cleaned daily to a high spec. The food and drink was good and plenty of choice. There is a free shuttle bus if required to the lively resorts if need be but more than happy to stay local as there was no need to venture out as it was on resort what I required. Staff very friendly and do long hours but never seem to be put out if required. Would highly recommend this hotel, came out of season so not sure how busy it would get in peak season but the size of the resort and restaurants available I'm sure it would be fine.

Hubby booked this hotel I approved it as it is newly renovated and reports of cleanliness were good. We loved that the hotel is about ten minutes from the airport we had a lovely room with a sea view sitting room good size bedroom and bathroom all clean modern and there were robes and slippers for you to use we didn't as it was very warm . Hubby was over the moon with the food in the restaurant he is celiac and there was a lot of choice for him and best of all it was labelled sin gluten (gluten free) just watch out for customers using the same utensils for gluten free and not, as even a crumb or trace can make a celiac ill. The staff were excellent when you ask them a question they were straight on it being friendly and polite while getting the answer for you.also they are always cleaning windows rooms lovely apple smell and anywhere else that required it. Pools at night were made safe no night time dipping all in all a great chill out time was had by both us 😁

Great staff, has entertainment on in the day and evening. Room was lovely, clean and really nicely decorated. Beds were very firm though but too firm for us. Sad that no inflatables or even small balls in pool but made our own fun with the inflatable donut staying in our room. Bus has free shuttle into town running twice a day Need to give a few days notice as gets fully booked but really hhandy to know. We got public bus one way as was full but no problems with that

We choose the atlantico golf for our first holiday as a family of three, taking our little boy Noah at only 4 months old! But we had the most incredible time there! The hotel is amazing and very baby friendly with ramps amd lifts everywhere so you can get around easily, travel cot and good facilities in the room including kettle and fridge and a special children's pool aswell! All the staff were super friendly and so helpful all the time! But the real stars of the show were the entertainment team who are simply incredible! Stefano and julia are a real credit to the hotel and made our holiday very special. The energy they have is insane and they make you want to take part without being pushy. The variety of activities is amazing, I have never ever been on holiday and the hotel has run a jewelery workshop where you got to make your own glass necklace, very original and unique. The food isn't the best I've had but there was always a good variety and we always found something we liked. But it's so cheap to go all inclusive that you can afford to go for a couple of meals out at the local restaurants on the seafront about a 4 minute walk away which are also super reasonable! Would definately recommend and already looking forward to our next trip.
