This is a superb hotel. Spotlessly clean, large rooms and with staff who go over and above, the all inclusive buffet meals were absolutely superb. The range of choices was excellent and the quality of the food was extremely good too. A pleasure to watch the chefs cooking meat and fish while you wait and other staff were attentive in quickly clearing plates. My phone was unfortunately stolen on a promenade near Playa de las Americas, and the hotel staff, especially the manager Laurence, devoted hours of their time to help me with emergency calls and communications. An outstanding hotel…even the cleaners were friendly.

Apart from food which was acceptable, the rest of things were so good. The entertainment team were exceptionally great. Manuel, Clara, Erica and the boss were very entertaining and engaging. In the reception Mia was so kind and helpful. Hopefully one day we will go back there.

I just returned from the trip with husband and 2 kids. Where do I start... On the arrival we checked in at the reception and been told where to find the room. The room card didn't work so we had to go back to reception and spent 30 minutes sorting it out. I asked the guy "H" if he could help us with the suitcases, and he said yes. He walked us to the room, but didn't actually gave us hand with our language. We found the entertainment to be non-existent for my kids. Evening would have mini disco at 8.30, which I think its late for 5 and 6 year old. Outside of the hotel there is nothing to do either. The beach is black stones, not really suitable for swimming also due to ST Michael Marina being there where ships and boats are parked. The bar staff at the main bar were not interested in being nice and sometimes acted rude. Ques we long even outside of the season, and I dread to think what it would be during the summer. Once I was about to get a drink after 15 min waiting, then a older guy turned up next to me and the bar tender served him first. When I said it was my turn, both pretended they couldn't see or hear me. Another time when I tried to get drink, the female bar tender gave me very annoyed looked and said she is busy and carried on wiping the bar surface for 5 minutes. The bar staff were not very friendly. Drinks We hired a car from the airport which was cheaper then the hotel and took trip to Siam park which was great as well as Loro Park. Don't expect staff at the recpetion to advise you or guide you where to go or how to get there. Most of the time they didn't know anything. The ques next to reception to speak to one of the staff who either rent out the car or sell tickets to Siam park are long. One lady was so fed up waiting her turn that she jumped in ahead of 2 people. when we both said to her it's our turn, she completely ignored us and then was rude to staff as well. I am not sure if this is because Hyatt group recently bought the hotel and there were changes but there is definitely a disconnect b

We flew from Scotland on 12 Nov, just after lockdown in England was imposed, two days before a negative Covid test certificate was required, and just prior to a travel ban in our area. First things first, the apartment was clean, which is the main thing for us. Also, it was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. Fixtures and furnishings are very tired, and frankly in need of updating. We had a nice big balcony with a lovely sea view, and had morning sun until midday. We had to feel for the pool lifeguards who were there every single day, looking after around 50, for the most part, empty sunbeds. Normally there would be many more, but the rest appeared to be piled up in the empty swimming pool of the mothballed sister hotel next door. There were quite a few sad sights like that around the resort. We stayed for 10 nights on a self-catering basis. Having read a previous review, we took our own travel kettle. We have stayed in self-catering accommodation many times, and a kettle has always been part of the basic kitchen facilities that you would expect to find. A few other things we were surprised to find lacking were, no washing up liquid or sponge, dish towel, cooking oil and, perhaps most surprisingly of all, no spatula to turn or lift food. We were unable to find a spatula in any of the surrounding shops, so had to make do with a spoon for our morning fried egg! Wifi is available, but you have to pay. We would return to the apartments but would take a spatula next time!

I moved here from apartments down the road that were too busy and regimental. I'd stayed here a few years ago & I'm so glad I spent a few days here. Andy on reception was welcoming, friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The apartment had everything I needed. The view is spectacular. The while complex is spotless & covid procedures adhered to. Sunbed & pool area also spotless & lovely and quiet, no loud music etc. A nice quiet holiday. Only downside paying for wifi.

Our second time at this resort in 2 years, resort is in a lively location and the resort itself is great. Room decor is tired and some repairs could be done this is not due to current covid situation as it was the same 2 years ago. We had self catering but however you do not get a kettle in your room so have to use a pan to boil your water, cutlery is all mismatched and all in odd numbers, only glasses you get are whiskey tumblers so wine drinkers go and buy a wine glass....lol Beds are comfy but the sofa beds or sofa is very uncomfortable even just for sitting on so who knows what it would be like to sleep on. Beautiful views of the harbour and the Atlantic ocean, plenty of places to eat even though there are quite a few that were closed due to the current situation. So on to the staff at the resort and the cleaning protocol, on check in you are asked to now scan a QR code for all the information need for the resort, room cleaning is every 2 days although we checked in on Thursday and then our room was cleaned the next day Friday, then it was cleaned again on Tuesdays then again on Friday the day before check out, maybe this needs to be looked at as that isn't every 2 days. Most staff very friendly and helpful but yet again the woman with glasses on reception was very rude again just like 2 years ago, she totally ignored you while you are stood at reception while she is looking at her phone, there is not welcome from her or any goodbye, even when we checked out she didnt acknowledge us and asked our stay was etc, as yet again she was looking at her phone, maybe she owns the hotel because there cant be any other reason to employ her. So after all said we had a fabulous time weather was great as always room a bit tired and outdated, maybe invest in some bigger TVs, cutlery, wine glasses etc. We will no doubt be back

If anyone has any apprehension about going on holiday during this time and are OK to quarantine when you get home, please go. We, a family of four did not know what to do but our tour operator was not canceling our holiday and the flight was on. So if we cancelled we were losing 2/3rds of our money. So off we went. Flight had less than 20 people, so flight atentants were very attentive. Got through passport control very quickly, with hand sanitisers at the airport, scanning QR codes and temp checks, very efficient. 10mins in taxi and arrived at aguamarina. Room was ready and excellent, really spacious with an amazing veiw from our room. Place set up for all inclusive but a little different regarding the food. Breakfast buffet as normal but the chef dishes up your choices and all food screened off. Lunch and dinner done differently. 3 courses if you wish, with a choice of 3 things for each couse. Menu outside restaurant prior to each meal so you know what's on order. Some meals didn't quite suits the kids (11 and 7), but a few bars and restaurants open with plenty of choice on the shore front and very reasonably priced. Also small supermarket on the apartment grounds very well stocked to make lunch in your apartment. The staff were excellent, no queues for food, all table service for lunch and dinner. All food we had was great and enjoyable. No rushing in the morning for sunbeds and plenty space. Overall a great holiday.
