we visited the restaurant twice last week, once for lunch which was lovely, good food and very friendly service with a chatty waiter looking after us. two days later we ate dinner there after a day on the beach, and it was like a different place. The same waiter served us and was curt to say the least. he seemed more interested in other diners in bigger groups that he spent time chatting to in a jovial way, whilst barely speaking when he came back to us. my sirloin was not good, tough to cut and with a lot of fat and gristle, but he didn't ask if I was happy with it when he cleared my plate with a pile of said gristle on. no acknowledgment when we left, we felt rather invisible. very disappointing indeed.

What a place to find. A real jewel in the crown. The staff are so welcoming and remember you and your drink order. The food is excellent with a different special every night. Reasonably priced and fabulous food. Can’t fault the team, the food or the location.

This was our first time to Minorca and staying at the White Sands Beach club means it will not be our last. The welcome was friendly, the apartment was superb having been recently refurbished. The beds were comfortable and all amenities that you could asked for were available . Outside infinity pool was a delight with fantastic views across the bay and the beach below. Meaning it was a two minute walk from the pool to the sea. I would have no hesitation in recommending this result and look forward to returning soon.

I don't usually take to writing reviews about hotels but I felt compelled to inform other people who might be considering a holiday in white Sands to be aware of some of the pitfalls of the hotel. We were with 3 children all under the age of 3yrs old The hotel itself is not built for infants or anyone who has poor mobility. There are stairs everywhere in the resort. You would be lucky to find a room with level access. This makes pushing buggies, wheelchairs, etc extremely difficult. What's more is that they are sharp concrete steps, which would cause horrible injuries to anyone if they had an accident. I couldn't take my eyes off my kids for a moment The staff didn't offer a porter service on arrival so I had to drag my luggage and children down to my apartment (some 30-40 stairs) on my own. The receptionist told me there wasn't enough staff to help me on that particular evening which I find strange when this particular hotel promotes itself as a 4-5* hotel Some of the receptionists have a really bad attitude. On checking into our hotel the receptionist was engaged in a chat with another resident,so much so that she barely greeted me whilst taking my 100 euros deposit. That wasn't a great impression from the outset. Then any time I came to ask for advice about trips and excursions,.the receptionist seemed impatient and keen to get rid of me as if I were asking too many questions. They only have one receptionist on at a time and there is normally a queue of people needing to speak to them. This hotel is more than frugal; I would say it was actively mean! if you want any replacements of UHT mini milk cartons - you pay. Clean bath towels - you pay. Pool towels -you pay. Extra coffee sachets in your room -you pay. Etc etc This hotel is no frills attached. Don't expect a warm welcome from the staff or extra tea bags in your room Come prepared if you can! The location is lovely and the restaurant is nice for dinners, and the other guests were really friendly to us and our children but the staff really let down our experience if I'm honest

We stayed here for a week in June as a family of 4 adults. After a glitch on check in where we were told there had been a flood in our original apartment, we were given the option of moving on the 3rd or 4th day. We had asked for a sea view, but this was not accommodated in our original apartment allocation. The receptionist however was fantastic, and made arrangements for us to move on day 3, to a lovely apartment with an amazing view and a roof terrace, and could not have been more accommodating for us. The apartments are a high spec finish, and well equipped. What is great is that Diamond has now put water filters in the apartments so you can drink from the filter tap. This is part of their campaign to reduce plastic, but also saves carrying massive bottles of water up and down many steps. There are guest activities, but was a little confusion over whether they needed to be booked or not, particularly the sea scuba diving and my daughter was unable to do it as it was unclear. All in all, a great week, fabulous restaurant on site and good restaurants nearby, with friendly and helpful staff. Finally, thankfully, Diamond seem to have listened to feedback that we don’t want a morning of our holiday taken up with a ‘presentation’ and have changed their model. Our week, was our week.
