Wonderful setting right next to a castle at the top of a hill in a small village. Beautiful views all around. My wife, however, was a little put off off by the dated and sometimes dirty or damaged furniture in the rooms and public areas. Had a fun time at the castle in the morning. A cute kindergarten class came...

Love doing Hotels and I have done lots of Paradores, This is the best, the public lounges were fantastic, the bar over looking the castle was to die for, The staff were great and friendly, It was only a small town but it was quaint. Will definitely go back, Our room was on the 5th floor and was a corner...

An excellent example of the Parador hotels offering. The setting for this fine hotel is magnificent - a historic palace adjacent to a medieval castle at the heart of this small town. Our room was very comfortable, well appointed and with the added bonus of a panoramic view of snow-capped Gredos mountain range from its balcony. Superb food enjoyed in...

This Parador was our favourite for years but regrettably this is no longer the case. Check in was smooth as usual but when we got to our room on the 5th floor which is under the roof it was baking hot. I couldn't turn on the air conditioning so I rang reception. I was told that the ac isn't turned...

Every year around the end of the first week of April, the town of Oropesa hosts a Medieval Fair. The parador is at the center. They offer a two night special (half pension) in one of the loveliest of Spain's many gorgeous paradors. My husband and I have attended the Feria several times, and it improves every year. This year...

We arrived just by the sunset, Parador with the castle and neighbouring churches looked magnificent against red and purple sky. Check-in went smoothly, even that my Spanish is non-existing and reception spoke as much English, check-in process was pleasant. By the check-out the reception person spoke good English. Our room was standard, but spacious. All rooms are slightly different, obviously...

Ideal for en route stop from south to north of Spain. Renovated castle with all modern facilities, friendly and welcoming staff, cosy bar area with a very good restaurant serving local specialities. Will have to return in the summer to try out the pool.
