This is no frills good pub. Friendly staff with good homemade food. Great for families and they allow dogs in the bar. We went on a Friday early evening and it was very busy (probably a good sign) and it did feel very crowded, however the service was still good.

We booked a table for 10, 4 adults and 6 children. Pub is easy to find with good parking at the rear. Traditional bar area with sufficient seating, they welcome walkers, cyclists and dogs in the main bar. Food was great and good choices, well priced and hearty appetite needed. Some seating outside.

We went to the Masons Arms on recommendation and were not disappointed in the slightest. A great atmosphere, friendly talkative regulars and above all great food! Good service by very friendly and accommodating staff. All in all, a good night out! You must, if in the area, give it a visit!!!

The room was a comfortable, and pleasant place to stay ,after a long, and active day. The pub had tasty food, and the breakfast was delicious. The proprietors were very responsive to emails, when I needed to inform them about a later arrival. I really enjoyed looking through the reading material in the room. I learned about the history of the... More

Friendly helpful landlord, nothing too much trouble. Great evening meal and breakfast - I asked where he got the sausages so I could get some when we were next in area! Room wasn't anything special but clean and adequate. Gargrave is on a busy road but the Masons is tucked away in a nice quiet location - If we need... More

We visited twice for food my wife had veg chilli on both occasions and I had braising steak one day and suet pud the next. Excellent portions and great selection... More

After a long day's walk we were greeted by a grumpy landlord. He asked if we were going to be eating here that evening. A slip of the tongue having seen that there was curry on the menu I answered that I'd have a chicken jalfrezi. I was told that this wasn't an Indian Curry House ! With our walk... More

My partner and I visit here very often for a meal and to socialise. The landlord is very friendly and they make you very welcome. The meals are superb and service is great. The locals are a friendly lot and they too are happy to talk to you. Dogs are made welcome and are referred to one area of the... More

We stopped here for lunch whilst we were cruising along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Just a short walk from the moorings in Gargrave, this was well worth the few minutes walk. Lamb cutlets with bubble and squeak mash, and Cottage Pie were delicious, and just what we needed after a few days working the boat and locks up to... More
