I booked just one night at the Lawrence as I was attending a birthday at Padiham Town Hall down the road. Great location as it meant I didn't have to worry about taxis to and from the event. The staff were lovely, I arrived early but was offered to check in sooner into another room. Both members of staff I spoke with offered fresh milk for my coffee and even some brownies. The room was spotless, the bathroom was spacious and had a very large shower, and the room had the usual facilities such as a kettle, TV, hairdryer, and some mugs and classes. Checking in and out was easy and simple, and overall I walked away feeling very satisfied and relaxed considering I was on such a short trip, I can't thank the staff enough for being so great. My only general feedback would be that as cute as the locks were for the doors, they were quite noisy and awkward to use and maybe need modernising, I was worried I would wake people up when unlocking my door to my room after the party. A hook on the bathroom door would be handy, I found myself instinctively reaching for one more than once.…
It is small and feel like a Bed and Breakfast, the decor had some nice touches but others need updating, the bedhead was loose, the wardrobe was tilting the shower basin was overflowing. If you have mobility issues this hotel is not for you because the stairs are steep. Food was good and the manager was attentive but did not seems friendly more like Basil Faulty approach. I was mislead but other reviews therefore I wanted to be accurate in my review.
We booked into The Lawrence on recommendation from a family member. We were not disappointed! Michael pointed us into the VIP room which was beautifully decorated, giving a really luxurious feel. Josh and Edan were our waiters for the evening, providing attentive and efficient service and also compliments to the chef- the food was fantastic. The cocktails were very good- mum enjoyed a few Kir Royales! I wouldn’t hesitate in booking a party here again- and even though we’re very local, would love to stay over and have the whole Lawrence experience. Thanks again team!
I stayed at The Lawrence on a very last minute business stay due to adverse weather. I was greeted with a lovely warm welcome and upgraded when I arrived which was a lovely surprise, The rooms are beautiful and the decor in keeping with the period of the property. A real gem in Padiham. Thank you for the lovely stay. I would definitely recommend and stay here again,
