The hotel benefits from his gorgeous location next to sea. We had a room with balcony and could see the big ferries passing by very close. Environment is calm, however, boat station to Stockholm city just 5 minutes away and in another 30 minutes you are in Gamla Stan. Rooms were reasonable seized, furniture in the Scandinavian-Nautic style, providing all the amenities you expect in a hotel of this category. Breakfast is served in an old romantic villa about 100m away. Choice is limited but all stuff of good quality. One evening we asked the reception for a corkscrew. Somehow understanding that this is not available at the reception they sent us to the breakfast villa to get our wine bottle opened. The guy over there said that they have only 1 corkscrew for the hotel which he cannot give away !! ;-) ;-) …
Breakfast: excellent selection ( not so much variety but what u need n good quality) n beautiful ambience in the old Būrgervilla by the sea. Service : excellent ( we could swiftly change the room in the middle of the night when our room was not as clean as we expected) and overall friendly, helpful staff. Rooms; we had the top floor suites. Wonderful view generous balcony and lovely high ceilings. However instead of thinking only of design, they should think of functionality. There is nowhere to put or hang clothes but useless fake sailing boat interior stuff like shelf for glasses. Put up more hooks both in bathroom n room and REAL hooks in the entrance instead of those useless ones there. A doormat just inside door would be nice too to stop dirt coming inside. Finally the causally leaning giant mirror is an accident waiting to happen for families w kids. Sauna ; could be cleaner and better organized. We were alone so it was nice anyhow n lovely to jump in the icy water from the jetty. However if more people it d be dirty immediately. Just put a real door mat inside the two entrances and more hooks. Think practial not minimalistic ! Location ; beautiful neighborhood and close to city n museums by the ferry that leaves just outside. ( free buses n ferries for kids during weekends )…
A really lovely, charming, romantic waterfront hotel, handy for getting to central Stockholm via a frequent commuter ferry. Has a good waterside restaurant, and a sauna, handy for post-sauna sea dips in the sea! Rooms are large and bright, with a Newport Rhode Island America's Cup theme and nice views. Excellent breakfast in the historic tower house, and friendly staff.
A picturesque hotel located just outside of the city that's conveniently located next to the ferry - such a fun way to get to the museums! We booked this place for a quick trip to the embassy and had such a great time. The hotel was modern and clean, breakfast was well prepared with enough options for everyone. The views were stunning! We loved it so much, we look forward to returning whenever we're back in town.
A superb hotel with a tranquil feel on the outskirts of Stockholm. A nice, accommodating front desk, which accepts and settles customer requests. Next to the hotel there is a pier to take the ferry into town. Many restaurants for excellent meals.
Amazing hotel stay, this was our third time staying here and just as great as our first. Rooms were super comfortable and love the large beds. The new outdoor restaurant is lovely to order food in the evening as relax watching the river. Can’t wait to come back.
We had a pleasant 2 day stay at J Hotel. The rooms were ambient and comfortable. The food was great. A special mention to miss Sultana at the restaurant, who was extremely kind and offered exceptional service.
First of all there is no safety measures taken for COVID-19. No staff wears mask in this hotel. In my opinion, at least the chefs or breakfast staffs should wear masks. Secondly, there was someone opening our bedroom door in the morning. They said sorry, because they opened the wrong room. We were so startled and bothered because a stranger could open our bedroom door. It turned out that you should really pull the door to lock it properly. Lastly, the receptionist lady was not friendly and she was unprofessional. She did not smile or say welcome to us when we arrived. When we checked out she never bothered to even care to ask how our stay was. Worst of all, she did not care and she was not even sorry about the door issue we have experienced. She just answered “We have never had the same experience before.” Despite the nice design hotel + restaurant and quite clean environment, the receptionist service was too bad that we would not want to be back to this place.…
Glorious setting at the inlet to Stockholm, on the water, and with all the Christmas lights up, all the more spectacular. The hotel is very correct and comfortable but not upscale or luxurious. Great reception staff, parking underground, breakfast in the old villa, J restaurant close by and commuter boats into city center. Quite nice
Tasteful and nice for Staying in Stockholm. An excellent bathing area is available. ideal location, place for walks, nearby wonderful restaurants - Thai cuisine, Italian pizzeria, J restaurant and the best burgers in Stockholm. hotel breakfast - very good, with fresh juices and perfect pancakes with blueberry jam.
