I know that this hotel has had glowing reviews from the majority and it is certainly good but I'm not convinced it is consistently 5*. The main let-down was the terribly poor service in the restaurants, which is a big deal for an all-inclusive of...More
We stayed here for ten nights from 20th July 2011. After a reasonable journey we were welcomed with a thirst quenching drink which dulled the news that the family rooms were overbooked for 2 nights. This meant our 13 and 10 yr old boys were...More

Yes, there's a local town w/in walking distance. Although it would be best to go during the summer since that is the height of tourist season June-August. In addition, Kusadasi is a short trip around the bay. It has a lot of restaurants, pubs & nightlife. Ozdere is a quiet in comparison. I believe the hotel has a tour rep on location that can set you up w/a trip. However, you can take a dolmus (fared minibus) or a taxi or just simply rent a car (worth it to do a day or 2 of exploring). I've lived in Turkey for quite sometime it is worth the extra cost if you get a rental. :)
