We had a fabulous time, they are lots of places to visit all around and good for walkers and cyclists. Our room was basic but we had our little dog with us, however we had a terrasse on the ground floor over looking a field and the lake which was practical to take the dog out while enjoying the view... Due to the house we were renting not being ready, we suddenly had to find overnight accommodation for 8 of us, two families of four! We contacted Manoir du Grand Vignoble via the tourist office in Bergerac and Sabine at the hotel was very helpful in offering two 4 bedded rooms at very reasonable rates. She was very understanding and... More

A traditional house converted into a hotel with outbuildings converted into bedrooms. The food was excellent. An excellent outdoor pool - about 300m away from the hotel However, this hotel is so isolated that, in my view, it's only suitable for holidaymakers on a touring holiday, or with transport. I didn't have this, so if I wanted to sample local... More

We stayed in Manoir du Grand Vignoble one night on the way back to London from Southern France. It is a spectacular property in the beautiful rural setting. Far away from the noise but convenient to get to, this old manor offers a great oasis for the pleasant short staff. We received a very warm welcome, and we were given... More

Whether this is the right accommodation for you will depend on your expectations. This is a beautiful and characterful old manor house with charming owners and staff, set in a peaceful rural location: but the accommodation is absolutely basic. In fact it would be possible to pick holes endlessly: from the lack of toiletries apart from two sachets on the... More

We have spent several holidays at this lovely hotel which is situated in beautiful countryside not far from Bergerac. Everything possible is done by the management and all of their staff to ensure that guests have a most enjoyable stay. Dear Madam, dear Sir, thank you very much for your comment posted a little while ago. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay again and are looking forward to welcoming you next year. We spent two nights here. The hotel is in a pretty isolated rural location about 12 km outside Bergerac. It's based round an old French manor house - seventeenth century, I believe. The public rooms are in the main manor and the guest rooms are in two sets of outbuildings across the courtyard. Visually, the exterior of all the buildings... More

Dear Sir, thank you for your comment posted on tripadvisor. We are very sorry that you didn’t like the room our receptionist had allocated at your arrival. However, many of our customers love the rooms in that aisle and we are sad you did not. They have been renovated in 2012, got new furniture, wall-paper, bathrooms etc. We don’t think... More

We were cycling through the French countryside with a top end cycling company, Ciclismo Classico, and they had us staying at four star hotels, but kept telling us that this one hotel would be more simple and we should be prepared. I was in the middle of the countryside and the only place we could stay due to the end... More

This hotel looked gorgeous in the brochure, but the reality was quite different. While the manor is certainly stunning and the outside views of the building impressive, the Inside is tired and old fashioned. The fitness suite was ridiculous: half the machines were out of order and the whole place could do with a coat of paint. The sauna didn't... More

In the region for the weekend to attend a wedding.
