We received a very warm welcome on arrival at this attractive hotel, all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room although not enormous was delightful and spotlessly clean & fresh, with the most comfortable bed and pillows we have encountered on our travels in France. We did not dine in the restaurant as were too tired after a... More

I note the adverse comments by recent travellers but could not disagree more. I was anxious about staying at this hotel as part of a cycling holiday in Burgundy because I had noted its adjacency to the large flour mill on google map! I have to say that we were not at all aware of its existence during our stay... More

We arrived latish at Verdun - all other places were full. So we had to stay here... At check-in they were rather friendly - and actually helped us drag our suitcases up the very narrow staircase - but when we declined the heavily overpriced dinner (and had an absolutely lovely Cheese-an-Wine in town instead) the atmosphere changed. No more help... More

My wife and I just spent a night at this hotel, which looked like a charming old inn. When we checked in we received a rather curt acknowledgment and where sent to our room, which was slightly larger than a postage stamp. The room was right at the top of the narrow stairs and in the evening and morning we... More

Rustic inn with a lovely garden where you can relax after a trip. The rooms and the bathroom are well kept. In the restaurant we had a dinner that was good, but with some dishes, we found the use of oil and butter a little bit extensive. Nice wine list with many regional wines. Also because of the the friendly... More

Stayed overnight on return from south of France We were unprepared for the fairy tale nature of the resturant/hotel, and I dont mean happy ever after. It is like a cottage which is completely dwarfed by a huge grain silo right behind it. Whilst care had obviously been taken, the internal decor and garden were far too fussy for our... More

Maybe my expectations were too high, but this hotel is close to a very busy road; the room was big but smelly; restaurant nice but overpriced. Have stayed in better hotels in the region.

What a lovely building, landscaped garden and interior - what a pity it is right next to a grain cooperative with huge silos. If this doesn't put you off, it's excellent otherwise. the village and river are very attractive. The chef is aspiring and is very good - inventive, interesting, tasty and very well presented.
