We are a couple from Toronto doing a touring holiday of Scotland. We were thrilled with the Best Western Cartland Bridge. It is a gorgeous building with wonderful architecture and interest. We were greeted with friendliness and professionalism. Our twin room was clean, well appointed and had windows on two sides, allowing a beautiful breeze to flow through. We had... More

Beautiful place to stay as it's a striking Victorian building set in extensive grounds. Lovely, very comfortable room. Great food and really nice staff. Ample parking and very easy to find. I chose it as an alternative to staying near the M74 when travelling south and would certainly make the small detour to do so again when next travelling to/from... More

Had our full wedding at Cartland bridge, it was meant to be in the conservatory for the ceremony but when i arrived plans had changed but i hadn't to worry as Ashley, Gary and his team had already sorted something else. Conservatory was leaking unfortunately so couldn't have my ceremony in there had it in another grand room, dark wood... More

Thank you very much for posting your review of your Wedding Day. Unfortunately our Scottish weather was not on our side on your big day and forced us to adopt "Plan B" then using the Portrait room instead of the conservatory. It was lovely to hear how much you enjoyed your Wedding Breakfast which was served quickly. We are all... More

We called in on off chance and received a very warm welcome both at reception and by our barmaid/waitress. Menu was very good and the food also. The problem was the speed of service. There was only the one waitress and she was covering three separate areas. Hence she was never able to know who was waiting where. She was... More

We dropped into Cartland Bridge for a refreshing drink on a hot sunny afternoon staff were very friendly and helpful. Although we were not eating that day they pointed out the Sunday afternoon carvery for another time when they would like to welcome us back. We sat in the lovely gardens and enjoyed a quiet hour or two. Hopefully we... More
