My friends know I love afternoon tea so my birthday treat was to take me to New Lanark, situated just outside of Lanark with the heritage site and the river Clyde flowing in the background. The staff were very attentive and the food was yummy. The surroundings were comfy and we had a great afternoon. We also enjoyed a glass... More

The hotel is a wonderful restoration of an old cotton mill set in the beautiful village of New Lanark. We knew nothing of the history of the place or the philosophy behind its creation and were really impressed by the way in which the whole village has been preserved and given a new lease of life. We also greatly enjoyed... More

A much anticipated return to the hotel. The welcome was as good as ever, and all the staff were engaged and beyond helpful in everything they did, and it was a pleasure to stay there again. There were some niggles though. There have been some improvements in the wifi situation since my last visit, but it's still not really acceptable.... More

Got the over night deal through myhotelbreak.com, which included tickets the the museum and roof top garden. On arriving at the hotel the receptionist was very friendly. We were a little disappointed with our room. Although clean enough, the strip of carpet under the radiator was totally different from the rest. The windows could have done with a clean, but... More

Third stay here however the previous two stays were in the magnificent waterhouses, in which we've spent two wonderful, family Christmases. Cannot fault this hotel but if we had to, it would be that it's too far away from our home, in the south-east of England! Rooms are spacious and immaculate, the restaurant serves some of the tastiest food in... More

We had a very lovely time at this fascinating hotel, with access to a marvellous wee spa, wonderful scenery and history. The bed was very comfortable, the bar and restaurant very amenable to dietary requirements and allergies.

New Lanark is a Heritage Site on the banks of the River Clyde. It is an amazing place, with an excellent hotel. The staff at the hotel are eager to help, our bedroom was immaculate as was the bathroom. The restaurant served excellent food and although busy, you were made to feel welcome. Will be going back to explore more... More

Top marks to this Hotel, firstly we booked to go to the hotel two years ago but were unable to go, they kept the booking and fully honoured it when we could go two years later, how many would do that? The rooms are very nice and clean, all the staff we dealt with were polite and helpful. We ate... More

Just spent one night at this very pleasant hotel. Part of a UNESCO Heritage site, overlooking the River Clyde the hotel has been converted from a historic cotton mill. A relatively large well proportioned bedroom with a very comfy bed is complimented by a nice bathroom. Tea and coffee, large screen TV and an exceptional view from our 6th floor room combined... The New Lanark Mill is a renovated cotton mill on the banks of the Clyde in a heritage village which is well worth a visit. My 8 year old granddaughter went round the museum ride twice. The room was clean and spacious and has three single beds making it ideal for two adults and one child. We met up with... More
