New Lanark is a World Heritage Site in Scotland, recognised and listed by UNESCO and Heritage Scotland. New Lanark was built in the late C18th & C19th as a model community of cotton mills and housing. Similar in concept to places like Saltaire in West Yorkshire. Wee Row is a hostel created from mill workers' homes at the heart of...

We had a pretty good stay here. Most importantly the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Bedding and towels were provided and parking was free. The kitchen facilities were excellent and there was plenty of dining space and a comfortable TV lounge. The setting of New Lanark is lovely and very interesting. The man who greeted us made...

Excellent, clean basic double room in the fascinating New Lanark village and handy for the breathtakingly beautiful Clyde Valley waterfall walk. Large self catering kitchen facilities available, with the only minor quibble that these were not kept up to catering industry standards, but then again that's largely up to the hostelers themselves!

At the end of the day this is a hostel and not a hotel. So the standard is not as high. It is basic but not unpleasantly so. The second floor room we stayed in had a good view and the two single beds were very comfortable. I believe that the 2nd floor rooms are preferable to the 1st floor...

Well when I first heard the dreaded word hostel I feared the worst but couldn't have been proved more wrong. Absolutely delightful wee place tucked away in beautiful surroundings. Very cheap and cheerful with friendly staff. Proved me wrong about my opinion on hostels. Lots of nice nature walks and waterfalls around the hostel aswell. Bar across at the hotel...

Stayed here with my Mum and we had a relaxing time. Hostel is welcoming and clean. Comfy beds and good shower. Rooms have views of the Clyde. Beautiful location near the Falls of Clyde. Breakfast was delicious and a generous serving, just £6.50. We used the spa in hotel for £5. We will definitely stay again. Thank you!

Wee Row Hostel was an experience not to be missed. Aside from the historical significance, not only of the hostel, but the whole New Larnark site itself, it was nice to encounter someone from my side of the world. Scott who runs the place is from New Zealand and has been there for some years. The hostel, from memory, has...

This hostel is a really good alternative family idea for a stay in a beautiful and historic area of Scotland. Obviously it is a hostel which makes it great value but it is obviously very basic, but the place is in a beautiful location with scenery on your doorstep at New Lanark mill. We stayed for a family visit in...

Have stayed at this hostel (NOT HOTEL) a few times over the years, including this month. Always spotlessly clean and comfortable, meals very good value, Full cooked breakfast with all the trimmings was £6.50 and set us up for the day. Staff really friendly and helpful, It's a good stopping off point for further travel to the Highlands or catching...
